Good morning, everyone!! Looks like it's going to be another rainy day here in Illinois, but it is warmer this morning. How about an assortment of pastries; then we can choose what we'd like to eat!!!

asspastr.jpg

I hope everyone has a Super Sunday!!! :goodvibes

Compliments to the chef for this mornings pastries!

Good morning!

Sounds like shopping was the theme of the day! I went an bought a new couch for our basement. It's black leather so that when the kiddo's spill something it's easy to clean;) !!!

Yolanda...I'm right there with you on the "leather" for cleaning purposes! You can tell we have kids around the same age and BOYS for a little extra dirt! Hope you car is ok. Good luck with you dinner bash tonight!

I think we are going to drive to Fairview Hts later today and exchange a jacket that my Mom got me for Christmas. Then we are going to eat at our favorite BBQ place. We girls had BBQ yesterday...I made Gary hungry for the really yummy stuff!!

]

Hey Donna...I see that you are not home right now!:rolleyes1

These are my last two days off before returning back to the classroom and 23 nine and ten year olds on Tuesday. It was fun hanging out on the DIS. I wish I stumbled upon this thread earlier in my break, especially since foood is served! ;)

Karen

Hey Karen...glad you could stop by on your break. I have boys in 1st and 3rd grade this year! Come back by and see us if you have time.:goodvibes

Donna---I'm almost positive that today is Briana's b-day---remember Michele saying that she is turning 19 and wants to go to Canada because of the drinking age?? And that she thought as she was growing up that the world was celebrating her birthday?? Maybe I'm wrong---wouldn't be the first time.:confused3

2xcited...yep...the part I remember was the tax deuction (just by a couple of hours)!:yay:

Good Afternoon everyone!!!

Yep today is Briana's 19th birthday!!:cool1: Can't be possible, I'm not that old!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

It has been so busy around here! David, Lesa and Maddie have spent the last 2 nights at my house. My sister and her family came in town and ousted them from my mom's (Long Story) Brittany still slept there. So we have had people sleeping on couchs. It has been crowded but manageable. Thank God we put in that 2nd bathroom last year. My dad took my mom, sister, her husband and their son and Brittany to his house last night, then came back over to drop something off and to use the bathroom ( they only have 1!):rotfl2: Poor Daddy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANAparty: :bday:

Michele...you had Briana when you were 10?;) :rotfl2:

Ok...thanks for the update...and now we know where Miss Lesa is!

Did anyone think about the Plum's bathroom with Stephanie, Grandma Mazur, her mom and dad, Valerie, Albert and kids???:lmao: :goodvibes

April...did you go back and get the luxurious back rest? My DS would love for me to use that little light!

Welcome home Ashley! Can you believe the boards were down while you were away....oh and then the smilie scandal? You better not go again everything went to heck in a handbasket!;)

I should be back before midnight!

Good evening, everyone!!!
Just got back from eating our BBQ (Yummy) and exchanging my jacket. (Picked out especially to take to WDW in Feb.:goodvibes )
While we were at Kohl's Nathan found a Tim Duncan basketball jersey. Gary said he was a good player and an excellent role model for kids, so I bought it for him.

Nicole:: You are so industrious to take a candy making class!!! Sounds like fun!!

Michele:: Glad to hear from you!!! Sounds like you've been a pretty busy bee with all the company!! I hope Braina has had a great 19th birthday. (I apologize that I spelled her name wrong earlier.):flower3:

YourMajesty:: So... are you home now? I thought you may be leaving to celebrate the New Year!!party:

Ashley:: Are you home yet?? I hope you had a good visit....we missed you!!!

Hope to talk with you all later.

Hey kids---

I'm in between my parties today-----you know me-----one wild and crazy gal!!!!!!!

:cool1: :lmao: :cool1: :lmao: :cool1: :lmao: :cool1: :lmao:

I went to the market and picked up way too many snicky-snacks. But, tomorrow is a New Year and another day.

Where's Lyzziesmom??????? You partying too hard girlie????:woohoo:

YM---Actually I did think about the Plum family as Michele was describing the bathroom situation. I wonder if anyone had to climb out the window. (only for Morelli to catch them. ) (or Ranger----I'm still caught between the two):confused3
chat with ya later.:thumbsup2

We went to Bandana's. Gary loves it....I think it's some of the best myself!

Happy New Year!!! Be careful out there, you little social butterfly!!!:butterfly

Hi everyone!!

We just got home about an hour and a half ago. Thank God!! That drive is way too long. It was much better than the way down- Ruby was SO bad then but luckily this trip she slept the whole way.

My Christmas was OK. It was very hard because of my Grandfather. I told you guys how he was recently diagnosed Bipolar and seeing his behavior was very upsetting. He went on all these spending binges and it doesn't really matter what he buys, he just likes to spend money so unfortuantely we got those things for Christmas: tons for $1 DVD's that I've never heard of, stuffed animals, a Jesus coloring book with crayons :confused3 among other random, nothing age approprite things that I just threw away. Honestly, everyone got me those kind of things and I was alittle disappointed because I really tried this year with presents and everyone just got me junk. I know this sounds selfish and it really isn't what Christmas is about, but it kind of hurt my feelings. People in my family said atleast he tried, but he really didn't because it wasn't things he specifically bought for a person, it was random things he would take out of his room to hand to anyone. It basically hurt me because people would give him the same reaction to some gift he put no thought into, and the same reaction to my gift I put major thought into. They are so pre-occupied with my Grandfather that nothing else matters, so I understand that. My Grandfather said alot of hurtful things to me and Jeremiah, and to the whole family really so I didn't want to see him much. It's hard because I know he's sick,(supposedly, its a long story but now he says he went to the neurologist and he says he isn't bipolar? But my Grandmother can't talk to the doctor because of privacy laws) but it doesn't change the fact that I feel uncomfortable around him and everything, and my family gets mad at me for that. Oh well, I guess thats one good reason that I don't live there. Thanks for reading this if you got this far, I just wanted to vent!!!

It actually worked out- because Jeremiah's boss asked him to stay Thursday and Friday and continue working in West Palm. (He originally was only supposed to be working Tues & Wednes.) I got to see my Mom more and now Jeremiah gets to take Tuesday and Wednesday off of this week!

I also had a trama this past week. I had a cold and this terrible toothache. I was very nevous because I don't have medical/dental insurance right now and all I could think about was needing a root canal. Well on Friday I woke up and it was very bad so I called my mom to take me to my dentist, even thougH I don't have coverage. Well, long story short and $75 later, there's nothing wrong with my tooth, it was just aggravated by my cold. But that money was well spent because I was worrying so much! I still have some pain but the dentist says it should go away soon. Supposedly it is just inflammed or something. :confused3

Did anybody get my Christmas cards? It was so strange- I sent them Saturday the 16th and my mom didn't get them until a couple days ago. :confused3 Just wondering! ;)

I missed you guys!! I can't believe the Dis was out for that long, I'm glad I missed it because I would freaking out

What else did I miss??!!! Anybody new??

A big HELLO and welcome!! to all the newbies if there are any. I can't wait to catch up with everyone!!!

Ashley glad you are back!! I'm sorry about your Grandfather:sad1: I know what you mean about the presents, we used to shop for all the adults but it got to be too much. Plus as you said we'd put a lot of effort into picking out gifts and get a crocheted placemat or something. As you said that's not the point of Christmas but it shows a lack of consideration on the part of the other people. We still get presents for my parents but nothing for siblings etc., it's just too much. That's why it's best to do somekind of white elephant exchange with the growups, then if you get a coloring book you can trade it for something better!:rotfl2: But :grouphug: for having to deal with that. Glad that Ruby did good on the trip!

Hello, Ashley!!! Glad to hear you're back. Sorry to hear abut the problems with your grandfather; the situation would make me feel uncomfortable too. Hugs to you  for having to deal with that. I'm glad your tooth pain was not as serious as you thought. Hope the pain is subsiding.
Yeah!!! Jeremiah gets some extra days off!!

Hi, Angela!!! We just finished watching Invincible. Gary and I thought it was pretty good, but Nathan was bored with it.

So, has anyone made any New Year's Resolutions? I haven't made any the last few years; seems like I can never stick to them.

Happy Birthday Briana!!!

Happy New Year to all the cliqueless gang!

gotta go back and catch up...

but...Party party...Kenny will be home at noon tomorrow... its earlier than 6pm Tuesday..but I really thought he would have been home much sooner. I'll take what I can get ;) Glad to see you made it back Ashley!!

2x..love the puzzle:banana: that is awesome!! oh...Kenny and I made those pecan pie bars right before he left for his dads :faint: those things are SOOOOOO good!!! Thank you so much for sharing that recipe. They are so delicious! And yes, they do have high tea on the disney cruise:cheer2:

Donna...jacket just for Feb. I can't believe it is just around the corner!!!:cool1: New Year resolutions:rolleyes1 well for the past few years I keep saying I'm going to loose weight and get back to those pre-pregnancy size 5 jeans... but it just hasn't happened:rotfl: I know my thyroid is part of that problem but... I think I'll skip the new years resolution this year. One of my worst things is drinking so much soda:sad2: oh well, if that's the worst thing I do in my life, then so be it!

Yolanda..hope you got it all worked out w/the new couch. I love leather too...w/a little boy...it is much easier to clean! we have a leather sectional and leather in my car...I wish we had it everywhere,it looks better and easier to clean. Hope the vehicle isn't too bad.

Awww Ashley:grouphug: vent away sweetheart! Sorry it was such a rough holiday w/your grandfather. I know how you feel. My dad has paranoid schizophrenia...it is so hard when there are mental problems w/the family. My dad gets the grandkids coloring books and crayons too, but they are just little ;) so that isn't so bad. At least they use them! I think our family needs to go to something different w/the gift exchange issue too:rolleyes: Mike told me today... quit spending so much on everyone else for Christmas and we'll go to disney every year. As if we wouldn't anyway ;) but I spend around $100 each on my nieces and nephew and they don't spend near as much on Kenny so he says that needs to quit. He's right. They just expect it and that gets old. We'll see. Good luck and hope your tooth gets to feeling better:grouphug:

:rockband:  :dance3: Yay!!! Kenny comes home tomorrow!!!!:woohoo: :cheer2::cool1: :yay: :dancer: party: :jumping1:

I can't wait!!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I just can't wait to see my baby!!!!!! Now I have to decide since we never called Mickey back ... if I should tell him about our trip, or just try to wait til we're in the car headed down and spring it on him then. I can't believe I've waited this long...maybe just let him figure it out .... I'm just not good at secrets like this!!

Well, it's January 1, 2007

and you know what a New Year brings------resolutions-----whether we make them at all or keep them just for a few weeks.

So, anyone care to join me in nice healthy bowl of granola (low fat of course) and fruit????

grab a spoon and dig in.

HoneyGranola%2Ejpg

(sorry you have to click on the link to get the picture-----it wasn't like that before until I edited something, then it took the picture away and now this is the only way I can get it back and now I'm rambling-------oh well)

HAVE A MAGICAL MEMORY MAKING MONDAY!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!

Okay, here comes 2x's sappy moment-----

I woke up this morning in a really good mood-----I say this because it is so unlike the past couple of years on New Year's Day----------sort of sad, not looking forward to much----well, you get the picture. So, I woke up with a smile on my face (I had one glass of wine last night, but I swear it has worn off;) ) and I think to myself-------what's changed???????

Well, there have been a couple of things that have changed in my life the past year and one is YOU ALL!!!!!! I feel so blessed to have found the Cliqueless Crew and find it amazing that this little machine has brought people living in different parts of the country together.
You guys have really been my rock during certain times, even though you may not realize it. I thank you for that!!!!

So, with that, I wish you all a wonderful New Year and like the guy in some skit that I can't seem to recall the origin said...........

"luv ya man".

sappy moment over.......please proceed with your day.:) :cutie:

I'll be back a bit later. Have a good one!!!!!!!

Happy 1/01/07 to everyone!!!!!:goodvibes

2x2s::The granola and fruit looked amazing actually!!! You have the talent to make a bowl of cereal look "gourmet"!!!
Did you join me in a glass of the old bubbly last night? I saw that YourMajesty made it in. I finally went to bed about 12:45am. Gary was shocked I was still awake.
I totally agree with you about how much our thread has become part of my life, so to speak. I'm getting sort of choked up and I have a wee bit of moisture in my eyes...so I'd better stop here.:goodvibes

I hope everyone is blessed with happiness and good health this year!! You guys are the greatest!!!:grouphug:

yay, it worked (I think)

Good morning Donna and Happy New Year to you!!!!

Yes, I did get home around 10:30----just didn't want to be out of my house that late----even though I was only about five minutes away. Something about needing to be cozy, comfy in my own home. I logged on and saw that you had served up some bubbly, but for some reason it wouldn't let me post, so I gave up and watched TV. I fell asleep somewhere around 12:15, I believe. So, I actually did see the New Year ring in-----imagine that.

I need to go for a bit, but will be back later. Have a good day-----any special plans???
