Hi everyone!!!

Wow, its been awhile since I've checked in. I'm at a Ramada Inn somewhere in South Carolina (HI April!!!!) We stayed a little bit longer in Florida because Jeremiah had to work a couple extra days there. I will be home sometime tomorrow evening and I hope to chat with you all then. We just ordered a pizza and after I eat I'm going to sleep!!!

Now you see 2x, that's kind of what I'm talking about. You see "it" you hold "it" and then you don't get "it". We were in Brookstone for probably a good 30 minutes. I don't know why I just didn't get the stupid thing! Steven says we'll just go back and get it tomorrow (what a great guy) but I don't know if I feel like driving back to Greenville. Probably I will, though. I love reading before I go to bed at night. By the way, the puzzle is darling!! Yea for you!!

Good morning, everyone!! Looks like it's going to be another rainy day here in Illinois, but it is warmer this morning. How about an assortment of pastries; then we can choose what we'd like to eat!!!

Good morning!

Sounds like shopping was the theme of the day! I went an bought a new couch for our basement. It's black leather so that when the kiddo's spill something it's easy to clean However. We got the couch home. got the old couch out ( which involved removing 2 doors, a handrail, some photo's etc), put the new couch in and found out we were missing the legs of the new couch So, we load up in the jeep and head back to the furniture store-- and we begin to hear this aweful sqeaking noise coming from the front tire. Shoot, guess I'm going to b e dumping some money into that area. Hope it's not too much money Anyway, everyone is coming over today so I've got a little more cleaning to do and then prep for dinner.

2x- Way cool puzzle!

Karen-- The room and the time to do a puzzle ..... ahhh heaven. And welcome BTW!

April-- that's the neatest read in bed thing I've seen! Hope you're able to get it!

Some of our smilies dissappeared when they installed some new software or something on the Dis last weekend. The Dis was down for about 49-50 hours!!!

April:: Don't forget to go back to get your condo-in-a-bed thingy!!! If you wait any longer it may not be there!!

I think we are going to drive to Fairview Hts later today and exchange a jacket that my Mom got me for Christmas. Then we are going to eat at our favorite BBQ place. We girls had BBQ yesterday...I made Gary hungry for the really yummy stuff!!

wow, sounds like you had a trying day!! It's so nice to get new furniture but when the legs are missing?????? Did they take it back, or replace it?? Did you ever see that Friends episode where they are moving the sofa up the stairs?? PIVOT!!!! I had this vision as I read your post.
Hope the car trouble is something simple to fix.

These are my last two days off before returning back to the classroom and 23 nine and ten year olds on Tuesday. It was fun hanging out on the DIS. I wish I stumbled upon this thread earlier in my break, especially since foood is served!

You are close-I teach fourth grade. I worked as a waitress most of my yearrs and then I went back to school to get a degree in my late 30s. Got a job four years ago, same summer I graduated (very fortunate as these jobs are hard to come by here). Love every minute of it, but also love long breaks like Christmas and summer.

Okay kiddoes----sorry to have to eat and run, but I just noticed the time and I have to start getting ready to go. I went to church last night, but I am supposed to stop by my aunt and uncle's house this afternoon then go over to a friend's tonight and times haven't even been set. Believe me, I will be past the pooped stage by midnight.


Donna---I'm almost positive that today is Briana's b-day---remember Michele saying that she is turning 19 and wants to go to Canada because of the drinking age?? And that she thought as she was growing up that the world was celebrating her birthday?? Maybe I'm wrong---wouldn't be the first time.

Good Afternoon everyone!!!

Yep today is Briana's 19th birthday!! Can't be possible, I'm not that old!

She is at lunch with some of her friends right now. Then Blake's family will be over for a while. I don't think she is doing anything with her friends tonight. Most of them are a few months younger than her so no Canada As you recall I said NO to that anyway!!

We had a new stereo installed in her car, she was sooo excited. Of course the stereo is now worth more than the car!!

It has been so busy around here! David, Lesa and Maddie have spent the last 2 nights at my house. My sister and her family came in town and ousted them from my mom's (Long Story) Brittany still slept there. So we have had people sleeping on couchs. It has been crowded but manageable. Thank God we put in that 2nd bathroom last year. My dad took my mom, sister, her husband and their son and Brittany to his house last night, then came back over to drop something off and to use the bathroom ( they only have 1!) Poor Daddy!

I have been trying to keep up reading all the posts. You guys have been busy!

I think we might go to my brother Mike's house tonight, but only around dinner time. His wife has to get up at 3:40 to go to work. When he invited us over last night she looked a lot like this So we will be home by 9, but that is fine with me.
