Hi guys and gals!!! I'm home early thanks to a trip to the dentist! I am now minus one annoying tooth. It's towards the back, so it doesn't show, thank goodness!!

:welcome: Welcome to Jeni and Gina!!! Jump in anyime!!!:welcome:

Yolanda:: Oh my!!! You poor thing in all that wind and snow!!! WOW!!
Seems like you did pretty good at the furniture store!:thumbsup2

Nicole:: I am so relieved to hear YourMajesty is getting a bigger suitcase!! I can't believe you found that old picture!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Amber:: Your driving me crazy talking about the Girl Scout Cookie Ice Cream!!!! Sounds like heaven.:cloud9:

pozey:: So, you get to plan a Disney trip??!! Yeah!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: Going at Christmastime would be awesome, but the crowds would be a pain. I'm with everyone else. The week after Thanksgiving would be the perfect time to go if you could swing it.:thumbsup2

lyzziesmom:: Those Emma stories are too much. I hope she's not too dissappointed when she realizes the car trip didn't take her to Disneyworld.princess: I can't wait to meet her!!! I just hope she doesn't try to eat my fries!! Just kidding; I would happily share them with her.:goodvibes
I hope you don't mind, but DH bought me the MM jacket from Walmart yesterday. It was so cute because he seemed sooo excited that he found it. I didn't have the heart to tell him lyzziesmom had one like it. I was hoping it was a different color, but after re-reading your description, they are exactly alike!!:worried: We'll work that one out if it's a problem. I have to at least pack it.:goodvibes

Michele:: Sorry to hear about Briana's car. Maybe it's time for you to get a new car? Because DH always puts so many miles on his car, I used to hand mine down to him. It worked out pretty good that way.

I hope everyone is making it through their Monday's OK. Mine could have been better.:scared:

Yolanda: how many beans do you have?

Seriously - after a long day of counting beans, I'd like to take you (and whomever else would like to go) to my favorite little "hang out" spot:

And let me get you one of these:

I'm in......as soon as the Novacain wears off!!

We'll definitely have to have a drink in your honor!!!!:cool2:

Dznyfan-- I'll go!!!! as far as the beans question-- too many to count ;)

Gina-- Welcome!!!

We're planning to do a cruise and then add on a few days at the park the couple of weeks of December this year. I've never seen the parks decorated. My son is in year round school and he's off track from Thanksgiving through the new year. Can't wait!

Well, sounds like my son is needing some mommy "encouragement" to get his homework done before karate, so I've gotta go.:teacher:

Hello everyone! WOW---you move fast!!! :) Do threads ever close here? The old board I was on only allowed 1,000 posts and they closed it.

All this talk of going to DL makes me want to hop on a plane!!! I was there in November for the Christmas decor and it is SO beautiful, I almost wish it looked that way all year!!! :santa:

Whoa! That photo from MGM was CRAZY! That's a lotta people in one place!! Kinda reminds me of MK on Christmas Day back in 2000!

And THANK YOU for all the warm welcomes! :)

Where is your favorite place to dine in WDW? Just curious...

That's so funny that you got the same sweater!! Isn't it so nice and warm and cozy? I am almost hoping for cool evenings so I can wear it! I don't mind if we match - I think that's pretty cool! I read this paragraph to Lyzzie and she thought it was so funny, because she was with me when I bought mine and I must have taken 10 minutes to decide which one to get. Your DH has good taste!

That looks so delicious.

Sometime this afternoon I developed a nagging headache which has turned into a whopper of a migraine. Two darvocet and a muscle relaxer haven't touched it, but I am a lot less snappy at the kids now! :scared1:

Ok, I'll have to catch up...

I had one of the most awful days today:sad: I know it could be worse...but you know how I have like an hour and 1/2 drive to work...well I get about 10 minutes from work this morning. I'm low on gas, so I get off to fill up. I get off the ramp and my car just DIES... no power. its still started just revs...w/no power... The police came shorly after to make sure I was ok. I told him I was fine and had a cell phone etc. so he leaves. I call Mike and explain what the car is doing etc. I had to call a tow truck to take me to the dealership 2 miles away:sad2: then they tell me what I already knew.... My transmission is shot!!!:scared: Mike rented a car dolly and came and picked us up. I just had that trans. rebuilt this time last year! The dealer wanted $4200 plus tx. for a new tranny or the people that did it before said they'd see what they could do. $1500 tops to rebuild it. So, today was very expensive. $69 tow, $52 dolly fee, $128 dealer diagnostic, and probably $1500 for a transmission repair!!! What is so aggrevating is I'm sitting there thinking that is money I would rather spend at Disney!!!!:sad2: I never did make it to work, they just called me 100 x's on my cell!

but on the other hand...today is game day! Go Bucks!!!:cheer2:

ok, have to go catch up...

lyzziesmom:: Whew!! Glad you're Ok with the Mickey sweater!!
Hope your migraine goes away really soon!!!

 Be still my heart!!!!

Well, I'm feeling better after the tooth extraction. I've taken 2 ibuprophen and I'm eating some chicken & rice soup.

Linda:: Jeepers, girl!!! I just read your post!!! That's awful that the transmission on your car is shot, especially after having it replaced last year!!!
Your day was definitely crappier than mine!!! I think DznyFan may have a drink waiting for you.

Going to go downstairs to watch Talladega Nights with Gary and Nathan.....I may be back up soon.:rolleyes1

Gad's that looks good!:thumbsup2

Thank you Donna. Great breakfast...and thanks I think I will take one of Dznyfans fantastic drinks. I could really use one! Uhhh what a day! Mike is trying to talk me into a new car too...but I love my car!!! I love no car payments even more ;)

So ConventionEars (brilliant, btw!!), JUST A WARNING----- please don't get offended if suddenly I would want to rest up or meet everyone later.
WE won't get offended and in fact, you need to be sure you do get your rest. We're the same. We may have to head back for naps for Kenny. Plus Mike and his back...he just can't go go go...

Oh...wouldn't a land and sea trip be so cool! Can you imagine our crew at dinner...they would be kicking us out of the dining room every night! I'm dying to do a disney cruise!

You know, even though I had this trip in my Christmas "stocking" and we told the kids it was a Disney trip(I guess they didn't grasp WDW)...my oldest DS started throwing a little fit the other night. I was going over our dining plans with my DH and DS was like you are going to WDW? No fair... I want to go....oopsie...like you didn't understand it was WDW the first time we talked about it? Well, he really didn't throw a fit but he was really wanting to go. He's my Disney nut!

Awww.. your trip didn't sink in to DS huh...awww... well, the cruise will make up for it ;) That would be the best trip ever...all of us on a land/sea... that would be incredible!

Well, I am starting out my week by going to the dentist this afternoon. Whoopee!!
Hope your appt. was ok. Mike had to go today too...he had a crown fall off. It was just temporary anyway... gee...we're just not having a good day around here are we?? You'll have that.

poor little Emma... when I was telling her this morning that tomorrow she will be in the car all day, she said, "Yes, I'm going to Disney World!"

"Where's my nest?" All morning, she kept asking where her nest went

Good luck to your brother! Awww...Emma is ready to GO now! where is my nest:rotfl: she's so cute!

I have been bugging DW lately about not having a Disney vacation currently planned. We have always saved money throughout the year and used Income Tax Refunds to pay cash for our trips.
Well, this year, we were planning on using the majority of the vacation money to pay off bills and to do a few things around the house, and then take a short vacation to St. Louis or somewhere like that.
Anyway......Colton and I were in the bedroom watching High School Musical last night and DW walks in just about the time there was a Disney commercial on. Actually, I think it was one of those Disney 365 shorts.
Anyway....I mentioned the new Nemo ride at Epcot. DW says.......if you want to go to Disney World this year.......just make it happen.
And what I have been talking about has been possibly going during Christmas time. I've never been during Christmas.
So.......I can start planning?????? :confused3 :cool1:
YES...you can start planning :) She said "make it happen" to me ..that is a green light!!! I would run with it;) Yes, my boss goes Thanksgiving day -first week of Dec. and he loves it. Light crowds, Christmas decor is up...they film the Christmas day parade... MVMCP...It is a great time. The closer to Xmas day is more crowded and naturally, more expensive as well. No thank you to that! I've been there early Dec. once...it was great.

Well we got the news from the mechanic about Briana's car...it's totalled!:scared:
Awww. I feel your pain! :sad2: Mike says I should go get a new one now too...but I don't want another car payment now either!!
Colton and Chase begin another round of Swim Meets tonight. It will be interesting to see how they do. They've only had 2 practices since getting back from Christmas break.

They are a little bit out of shape, so hopefully some of the other swimmers will also be out of shape.

Also.......I'm not sure what age group Colton will be swimming in. He is only 10, but in practice, the coach has him swimming in the same group as the 13 - 15 year olds. I have told the coach that it is alright with me if he moves Colton up to older age groups if he wants. But I'm not sure if he will or not.
Good luck Colton and Chase:cheer2:

No way!! December 2008? Thats too far away!! December 2007 I can deal with. :teeth:

Me either!!!:sad2:

Hope your headache goes away...:guilty: that has to be bad when two darvocet don't help it!!

are any of you watching the game...wow...OSU scored right off...then Gators scored right back...uhhh this is going to be a long night! But it is more fun that way;)

Welcome Jeni and Gina!!! Join in here any time!!!:goodvibes

Ok, I forget who posted asking about closing a thread after 1k posts...I just saw one that had over 50k posts...so we're ok for quite awhile :) shew....

pozey: Have you started planning yet? I've never been during Christmas either. I'm not sure if I would want to. I'd love to see all the decorations and go to the MVMCP, but I despise crowds. I've gotten so spoiled with going during the off season when everything is practically empty that I would get extremely annoyed with even "regular" crowds.
When Dh and I worked at WDW many eons ago, Christmas was my favorite time in the parks. I loved when it snowed on Main Street. I would love to go back. It seems extra magical then.

Well we got the news from the mechanic about Briana's car...it's totalled!:scared: He said he looked at it this morning and the engine is gone, naturally after we spent $200 bucks to put a new stereo in the darn thing. Blake said we'll talk later, but I need to decide what to do. We can either spend probably $3000 for an older used car OR we can get a new one for me and pass down my car:idea: I don't know, I was really enjoying no car payments!! I was hoping to keep that going for quite a while longer. I will have to get the ads out. I don't even know what I would want
Michele, that just plan sucks about Briana's car.:sad2: Just think, you could get a new car out of it.

:welcome: Gina and Jeni

Hi guys and gals!!! I'm home early thanks to a trip to the dentist! I am now minus one annoying tooth. It's towards the back, so it doesn't show, thank goodness!!
I hope your mouth is feeling better soon.

Ok, I'll have to catch up...

Sorry about you day Linda. That really stinks about your car.:sad2:
x
One more funny Emma story: This morning when I was reminding Lyzzie to brush her hair, I said, "You have a nest in there like Emma" (Emma has just about the worst morning hair I have ever seen!) and Emma, who we did not think was paying attention, touched the top of her head and said, "Is this my nest?" Then after I brushed Emma's hair, she touched the top of her head again and said, "Where's my nest?" All morning, she kept asking where her nest went!
That is such a cute story. She is looking for her nest. When Brittany was little and I would comb her hair I would always tell her we needed to get the rats out of her hair. She would run screaming from me yelling she liked her rats in her hair and they were her friends.:rotfl2:

Yolanda...I hope it has stopped snowing there.

Well gotta run. I have some books to type up that I forgot I had. They came home before Christmas.:rolleyes1

Have a great night everyone!

Linda: Oh girlie, you really are having a bad day aren't you? I hope you get your car fixed... was the work that was done last year under any type of warranty? You wouldn't think the same thing would break after only a year, it just doesn't seem right. I don't really like my car and would love a new one, but there is nothing wrong with mine and I'm with you... no car payment trumps shiny pretty new car any day. More money for WDW that way!

I know I probably drive you guys nuts with my Emma stories, but I have one more for you. Be warned: it's a little risque! As I was putting Emma to bed, she pulled my pj top out a little bit and kind of looked down it. Then she said to me "Don't look at my boo-bees!" I told her the same thing right back! She did the same thing again, but this time she said "No onion in there." I have no idea what that means but she's right, there are no onions in there!!

Yay, rerun season is finally over and there are actually new episodes of my tv shows on tonight! I'm going to go veg out and hope this headache goes away... my boss is coming into town tomorrow and I need to be in top form.

When Brittany was little and I would comb her hair I would always tell her we needed to get the rats out of her hair. She would run screaming from me yelling she liked her rats in her hair and they were her friends.:rotfl2:

Lesa: that sounds so much like something my girls would do! My mom used to always tell me I had a rat's nest. I used to think rats would climb trees at night and sleep in bird's nests!

Well Blake and I just got back from car shopping. Rule #1 NEVER take a 15 yr old boy with you!!! He was nuts, and kept trying to get me to buy a huge white truck. Nope, thanks, not gonna happen!!

The first dealership we went to was Ford, sat down in a Fusion, it's nice:) I tell Blake, OK get this one. I really don't care. Nope, we have to keep looking.:rolleyes1 This is going to take a while. I forgot how much Blake likes to 'visit' things before he buys them. He bought a boat before we were married...he visited it for 4 months before he decided:confused3

We went to 6 dealerships. The last one was Dodge. I looked at a Caliber, it was outside so I had to have the salesman get the key. He opened the door for me, I sat down and reached for the door lock to let Blake in...it had manual windows and locks!! I haven't seen that in years!! I swear, I didn't think they made those anymore. This car was completely stripped down and was still $16,000. I think I'm in trouble!:car:

This could be fun if we were doing it on our timetable. I hate being rushed like this.

Linda, I feel so bad for you. I totally understand,

The rest of you...look out. Things like this go in 3's. Which one of you is next???

I think I'm going to bed and watch the football game there. Have a great night everyone.

Wow...we have all kinds of new people! How Fun!!!:welcome: :welcome:
