Pozey...I called about the clinic...FINALLY. It's very pricy...or at least I thought so. Do they have a good reputation? I was a little worried when she said they don't have limit on the number? If I did a three day camp (9-4 each day) I think they said $217:eek: I thought you might have some inside info?:cool2:
How old is your son again? 9 or 10?

The 3 day camp, in my very humble opinion, might be a little much for a kid that age. Two of the camps I think is just right. That is what I plan on sending Chase to. But then, he will still be in coach pitch this year, so the Pitching camp is not necessary for him.

The camps are Skills, Hitting, and Pitching. The Skills camp is hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running.

I think that unless your son will be one of his team’s main pitchers, I don’t think that camp will help him. Now, if he will be one of the main pitchers, then go for it and maybe pick the Hitting camp as the other one.

The prices I saw were $79 for 1 day, $148 for 2 days, and $217 for 3 days.

Lilly had her first doctor's appt this afternoon. Zach's mom took Bree, Zach and Lilly. She is doing great! She is 7# 11 oz and 21 inches long now.

I am uploading new pictures now... I will post them later.

Pozey- Have you even been to the Houston Rodeo? It just started here on Tuesday. I am so excited! I will probably go on Monday to see Josh Turner and then go back that weekend. I didn't go last year at all and was upset about it!
Yes, when I was really young. I stopped rodeoing myself when I got out of high school. I never did it professionally.

There are still quite a few people who rodeo professionally that I roped against when I was 13.

Lyzziesmom…….you sure have traveled all over. From Texas to south Florida to central Florida and now to Kansas.

What’s your story?

You have no idea how much I've gotten around. I was born in Rochester NY, moved to WI, NM, and back to NY, then to CA where I started kindergarten. Then back to NY for 1st - 3rd grade. I actually never finished K or 3rd grade because of moving near the end of the year, my teachers in both cases just gave me the ok to move on to the next grade. 4th & 5th grade were in Orlando, then we spent a summer living with my grandparents in MN while our new house was being built in TX. 6th & 7th grade in TX, then on to S.FL where we settled until I went back to Orlando for a year of college, then back to S.FL until I came to KS 5 years ago. My dad was not in the military, which the first question everyone asks. He works in telecommunications, and just happened to get transferred often. Several of our moves were also due to my mom's asthma; there were certain climates that made her much sicker than others. I actually attended 7 different schools before graduating high school, and went to three colleges before getting my Associate's Degree. I attempted to go back to school here in KCMO a few years ago, but it was too much to try to be a full-time single mom, student and employee. Something had to go, so it was school. Anyway, that's the quick version of my "story." The downside of all that moving around is that I find it very hard to make and get close to friends, since I never was able to keep any as a child - I was the only 6 year old I knew who didn't believe in best friends. I tend to get restless after being in the same place for more than a year or so. I have a lot of job-hopping in my past, and stability is a concept I'm not very familiar with.

wow lyzziesmom, at least when you moved, you got to see different states etc. We moved several times but all w/in 30 miles and I only went to 3 schools. My mom and step dad would get in a fight and we'd move out... move back...and repeat:rolleyes: My uncles swore they wouldn't move us again unless our furniture was on wheels. I sure can pack good and FAST too. We moved a 5 bedroom house in 2 1/2 hrs:sad2: I finally talked her into letting me move in w/my grandparents when I was 12! It was MUCH better that way. The good thing is that you get used to new areas, meeting new people etc. ;)

WOW!!! How COOL!!

Did you see this part:
"Along the northeast border of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney plans to convert its Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge golf courses into a luxury resort and golf community. The development will include a luxury hotel, 18-hole championship golf course, single- and multi-family vacation homes and fractional ownership vacation homes."

I could actually LIVE in DISNEY WORLD!!

Now........where are my lottery numbers??????:confused3

We did that a few times too - not for the same reasons, but one time we actually moved 5 houses down the street, from a rental into a different house that my parents bought. I didn't count the "local" moves in my list.

5 houses down! That is awesome. No moving trucks required for that one ;)!

I bet you hate to move now! Mike has only moved like 4 times in his LIFE!!!

Actually, my parents were in a 5-bedroom house and did hire a moving truck. It was just as strenuous as a long-distance move, but not nearly as satisfying. I still love moving - I hate the actual packing/unpacking and actual moving part of it, but I love being somewhere new and get very restless after a short period of time. It scares the heck out of me living in a house now, because it feels so permanent! My parents are the same way though, after we moved to KS they moved one year later to the next neighborhood over, and are now thinking about moving again but just staying in town. :confused3

I finally uploaded pictures from the Wiggles show the other night, will post them here in a minute.

Here are the pictures from our Wiggly adventure, as promised.

The girls holding their tickets in the lobby.

A little fuzzy, but that's because this picture was taken in the middle of Emma jumping up and down like a little maniac.

Doing some Hot Potato.

Rather than trying to help wake up the sleepy Wiggle, Emma decided napping looked like a good idea and thought she'd join him.

Hi everyone!!!!

Lyzziesmom, Great pics from the Wiggles!!! Emma looks so excited, she sure talked about them on the trip alot. I'm super excited about our mini-meet too, I keep talking about it. :) Oh, I always wanted to ask you but keep forgetting- what high school did you go to in South Florida??

DznyFan, I got the Shuffle as a gift from my Grandma..I don't know if she got the warrenty :confused3 I'll have to ask her.

Michele and Nicole and Lyzziesmom, I hate bugs too :scared: It's funny because normally its the girls who freak out and the guys kill the bugs, but my parents are the complete opposite. When I lived with my parents and I would see ANY type of bug, (they came in alot to our house because of the heavy rain) my Dad would get this frantic look on his face (much like my face when I see characters :teeth: ) and jump on the couch/bed/anything he could to get off the floor!! :rotfl: He would go "Shannon!!! Shannon!!!!" It was halirious...My Mom was a major tomboy as a kid and loves bugs and all that type of stuff so she would rescue the bug/lizard and put it outside. I know I'm rambling but I have another story. One night when Jeremiah & I were dating I came home at my curfew which was 1 am. Normally my parents were asleep at that time. Well I remember seeing some type of bug and SCREAMING bloody murder, and the next day my mom said she heard me. I was like 'GREAT you would just let me get killed by an axe murderer and do nothing :sad2: (trying to make her feel guilty :teeth: ) and she was like, "After I heard the hitting noise (from me kiling the bug) I knew what was going on" ;)

omg... I hope they liked that house much better ;) I don't mind moving either. I like redecorating, new places ;) its fun!

Awwww, instead of wake up Jeff...its the Emma version...join Jeff ;) too cute! Kenny had just woke up when I took him to see the Wiggles a few years ago...he sat on our laps the whole time and didn't get "into it" as much as Emma was. that is awesome! glad they had such a good time.

Ashley:rotfl: that is too funny your dad calling for your mom to kill the bugs!:lmao: great story about you coming in late too:laughing:

Hello!!

I have a new picture of Lilly, just in case anyone is interested...and even if you are not!:rotfl:
