Awww, thanks!! :goodvibes

I also have a lime green button pin that one of our dissers made for me that says DIS and has my username on it.

And I know it's a fashion faux pas in real life outside of Disney but I do wear a Pooh fanny pack in the parks with my pin on it. So, here's some ways you can spot me.

I would like to get a pic of my new DH and I on here.. not quite sure how I would go about that tho.. if not, look for the short gal in bright tourist shorts lol.. and her DH that's about a foot taller.. I'll be wearing LGMH's on my person... with username : )

April - see I knew a different perspective would be good! I've been thinking that I'm sure it was done with the best of intentions. I suppose no one is 'required' to let us know, I just think that it would have been courtesy, if nothing else - despite the fact that we're miles away (and I've been gone for a LONG time - mostly because of family crap (can I say that?), we are his blood children. I have no idea how long ago it was done, but I've been taking to him the past couple months about how he wants things 'handled' in the event of his death. It really caught me by surprise, more than anything, because he didn't say anything about it.

As for 'triangle talking' - oh, boy have I heard lots of that. My sister (not step) is famous for this, as was our mom. I never knew it had a 'term' assigned to it, but your explanation makes complete sense! She does it a LOT. I usually don't tell her any personal information, because nothing is confidential to her. When our mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, it got extremely tense between us - determining end-of-life care and mom's wishes for what to do after she passed. There was virtually nothing after, no service, no funeral - per mom's request. It was like pulling teeth getting her (my sister) to understand hospice care and consent to calling in hospice; and other matters as well. I still haven't talked to her today about the events that have transpired, but she's going to be livid. (can you say control issues?)

hugs to you, April, for your insight and again, your perspective. What you said in your post responding to mine will help me in handling my sis.

Angela, I forgot to mention that upon first glance, I also thought you had taken a picture of your DS sleeping in the bathtub! I thought, Hmmmm, where in WDW do they have blue bathtubs?? D'oh!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: That's where he sleeps at home so we didn't want to break any routines! :teeth:

Well, we've got to get Tucker to behavior classes. We'll miss next week's class because we'll be in Disney!! :woohoo: He's staying in their kennel. If the instructor/owner asks why we're missing class (which I don't know why she would BUT if she does) I don't want to sound like an irresponsible parent who isn't committed to my dog's well being/behavior so DH and I are going to say we have to go to Florida to take care of one of our investments (i.e. our interest in Disney Vacation Club). Gee, maybe I should go over to the "Is it wrong to take my kid out of school for a Disney Vacation" thread. :rotfl: Just kidding. I know it's way more serious to take an actual child out of school than a dog out of a behavior class.

I'll check back with all of you after class. Don't do anything fun without me! :dance3:

April - Tucker should be fine w/out one class... ;) don't let the trainers guilt you into thinking otherwise.

As parents, we miss the off season crowds.....

April, you have shed light on some major things here...thanks.

Jessica, so glad you have joined us!!!

Dznyfan, PM on the way. Sounds like your sister and my mom might be the same person....are you sure you live in Oklahoma? Hehehe.

Nicole, Cirque has a show touring called Corteo. It will be in Houston March 22-April 15. Its in Dallas right before that and I am trying to talk Chris into doing that for a late valentines day. The website is www.cirquedusoleil.com Its a little pricey but totally worth it if its anything like La Nouba.

Hey to everyone else!!!

Wow...I missed a LOT

First... party: :rockband: party: YAY 2x for your treatments being approved!!! That is so exciting. I sure hope it helps you. :grouphug:

Dznyfan  so sorry about the situation w/your dad. I hope he gets what he truly wants in his heart and isn't agreeing w/the step sis just to keep the peace. Good luck dealing w/your sis... I know how they can get ;)

April... shew..your fingers must have been just going to town :teeth: that does make a lot of sense about the "triangles". That is awesome you can now identify the problem and truly stay out of it. My boss had to go to anger management type classes for professionals and they basically told him not to worry about things you can't change... that helps a lot too. Basically the same I guess...very cool. thanks for sharing. I just saved a lot of $ and I DIDN'T just switch to Geico...sorry, couldn't resist :)

This is so embarassing but I have to share w/you guys...you should get a good laugh... today I went to the dr. I tell him my lower back has just been killing me :guilty: he says he wants an x-ray...ok...I go to the imaging place for an x-ray..no biggie right...I dress in those dorky scrubs and lay down...the lady does the x-rays then she comes back w/this confused look on her face...she asks me...do you have anything metal on your underwear... I start blushing  ummm yeah, actually I think I do :lmao: woops... apparently those little charms on Fredericks underoos are metal and she had to do the x-rays again :rotfl: :lmao: boy oh boy....that's just bad!!!

Alright, I got home today and had an email from the buyer (company) I got something for Chris from on Ebay. I got him the Sports Night DVD Set and I misread the shipping amount. I misread it because it is VERY misleading. I am sending them an email letting them know that I am less than happy about it...can you guys let me know if this makes sense? Thanks. It shows up different below due to Dis posting stuff, but know that each section is spaced out, and all headings are both in bold, one size larger and typed in all capital letters...except this one.

Hello,

I am having a problem with the shipment cost...By my calculations shipping should be 13.45 for the first item but your checkout offers shipping at 15.45 and 19.40. (5 discs at 1.50=7.50 + 5.95 for initial disc =13.45). Please let me know how to get the correct shipping amount applied to my item.

I must admit to one complaint I have had with your service. While I read all terms and conditions over before applying I did not notice the boxed set shipping because it appears to be more on Insurance because there is no bolding nor is it listed in all capital letters like the rest of the shipping headers. Had I noticed the additional cost of shipping boxed sets I would have ordered it from Amazon.com.

While I understand this is an error and was not intentional I would suggest that you list this information in the same manner as the rest of the shipping information. I would also move it to the top before listing all the other shipping costs. Many bidders will simply see the regular shipping price and assume that is what they will be charged since it says "first item" not "single disc DVD".

I have copied the shipping terms from the auction below for your referal.

Thank you for your prompt response,
Lindsey Leffel
Ebay ID: acapella15

U. S. SHIPMENTS
Shipments in the United States cost $5.95 for the first item and additional items are discounted $2.00 each. Delivery confirmations are included with the shipments. Shipments can be upgraded to Priority Mail for $3.95 additional.
CANADA SHIPMENTS
Canadian shipments cost $6.95 for the first item and additional items are discounted $3.00 each.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
International shipments are $8.95 and additional items are discounted five dollars each.
INSURANCE
Insurance is required on all shipments to protect both you and us. In the U.S. and Canada insurance is $1.50 on the first item and .75 cents for each additional. International orders are charged $2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional.
Box Set Pricing

Due to the additional weight in box sets we must charge additional to recoup our shipping costs. We charge $1.50 per disc for each additional disc. The number of disc in this box set is shown above under the additional information section. To compute your shipping do the following:

1.Compute your first item (disc) charge as shown above.

2.Take the number of disc in your box set and subtract one. (This is the first item charge) Then multiply the number of disc minus one times $1.50.

3.Add the first item charge and the charge for additional disc. This is the charge for shipping.

Example: For a four disc box set it is $5.95 in the U.S. for the first disc and $1.50 for each additional disc or 3 x $1.50=$4.50 for a total of $10.45 ($5.95 + 4-1=3 times $1.50 =$4.50, $5.95 + $4.50 =$10.45)

Linda, that is too funny about your imaging appointment! :lmao:

Lin - I'm confused. If that came directly off the ebay site, it is very misleading/confusing. Your email to the seller is good. Good Luck!

Erin looks gorgeous! Those are amazing costumes for her school! And a pretty good set as well. She has a bright future with those facial expressions!

Yep, right off of ebay! Here is the actual link to the ebay auction that shows exactly what I mean by it not appearing as a seperate heading. I've never cancelled an ebay win before but I might ask the seller if I can. They have the set for 47 on amazon with free shipping, which saves me 5 bucks.

wow Lin...you're right...that's misleading. first item should be first item regardless of how many disc's but since they wanna charge more for the sets it should be much more clear!!! Hope you get a positive response back :thumbsup2

Dznyfan...yeah, Mike keeps teasing me about it now :teeth:
Those pix of Erin are awesome. There are some really good ones of her :cool1: I can't believe HOW MANY he took.... wow!!! I bet that was so awesome to watch. You have to be so proud of her :cloud9:

Lin.... I'm confused. That shipping thing is very unclear! This is why I stay away from eBay, I'm so afraid of being ripped off. I know it doesn't cost that much to mail things!

Linda.... too funny about the metal on your undies! I bet the xray techs will be talking about that one for a while. Don't be embarassed though. I have an aunt who is an xray tech and she always remembers silly things, but never remembers who the patients were, only what happened to them.

April.... it sounds like your counseling has done you a world of good. It took me a very long time (without counseling) to realize it's ok to say NO to people, and they won't hate me for it. If they do, I don't need them around anyway. When I moved from FL to KS I decided to 'start over' and evaluated every relationship in my life; if the person did not bring one positive thing to my life, I cut that person out of my life. It's been hard and lonely, but I am really much happier without worrying about everyone else's drama.

I gave the girls an early Christmas present today: the movie Elf. I figured, since it's a Christmas movie, it only makes sense to watch it now rather than after Christmas. So we watched it this evening - I told the girls it would be done about 10 minutes after bedtime, which is 8:00, and it was over at 8:11. That was a good guess!!

April...I have heard the triangle talking before. It happens a lot in my family! Even though I am guilty of it, it drives me crazy! No one can just go to the person directly and tell them what their problem is, they have to tell their story to everyone else, and boy do the stories differ! I still have a difficult time saying no to people. I am the queen of guilt!
Good advice though! :thumbsup2

Lindsey....That is very confusing! Good luck! Oh and 1.50 per disk!? :confused3 Highway robbery!!!

Lizziesmom...I loved Elf! I use to have a big stuffed Elf.

Just wanted to pop in tonight and say HOWDY. This week has turned out to be very busy. :teeth: Tomorrow is another work day for me with a potluck Christmas lunch. Then I've got another potluck Christmas party for Friday night. Yipee.... :teeth: I'm having trouble getting into the proper "spirit" :smokin:

Ashley...good to see you back. :sunny:

Angela...you won't believe what my first impression of the "bathtub" picture was....ok....on first glance....the first thing that popped into my head was..."is that a trash can?"...becuase of the plastic. Then I quickly looked again and started... :lmao: :lmao: Talking to myself..."it's a stroller....silly."

Linda...I did have time to read about the x-rays. :earseek:

2xcited...I'm so gald they insurance approved your treatment...now let's hope they bring the relief you deserve. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Amber the pictures are lovely!

Well, I need to cut it short.....a big hello to all. :wave2:

ETA: Donna...thanks for the breakfast. I did have time to stop by this morning for a bite! popcorn::

Hi everyone!!

Good news- I got my computer back!!! I really can't believe how fast it was. I sent it out Monday (got the box to send it to the company last Friday evening and the company that ships it doesn't work weekends), they got it early Tuesday morning and I got it back today!! That extended warrenty was DEFINITELY worth the money! And the good news is, its good until 2009, so if anything else goes wrong (crossing my fingers), it should be covered.

I did some Christmas shopping tonight, but it seems like I still have alot to do!! It's funny- I was at a store today and look what I saw-

They are shoes!! I thought they were kind of cute. What do you guys think?? :teeth:

Thanks everyone for the anniversary wishes, and HAPPY LATE ANNIVERSARY APRIL!!!!! On Saturday(our anniversary) we are going to the Houston Rockets/Washington Wizards game. Houston is Jeremiah's favorite basketball team and I love them too so we are going!!

I actually feel kind of stupid (and sad) because on Tuesday I sent my Grandmother her birthday present (a pair of earrings) priority mail and realized I sent it to the wrong street address. I got her address and my other Grandmother's street mixed up, don't ask me how and I feel really bad because I don't think it will get to her in time for her birthday, which is Sunday. She is going through a really rough time right now because my Grandfather was just diagnosed Bi-Polar and is acting really irrational and nasty. I wanted to do something nice for her and I guess that didn't work. :guilty: I hope the person who gets it atleast sends it back and doesn't keep it. Ihave a delivery confirmation on it so I guess if it doesn't get there by tomorrow it should be sent back to me.

Actually, just to vent alittle, I'm feeling very scared about my Grandfather's actions lately. He was just diagnosed bi-polar but he doesn't think anythings wrong with him (a symptom of this from what I understand) and he's acting VERY manic. My grandparents actually just re-financed their house to pay off some bills and get some house repairs and he went and blew all the money, buying several new cars (some of which have been repossessed already) and I feel so horribly for my Grandmother and I'm worried for her safety. My Aunt, who is 23, lives with them still and he is saying horrible, nasty things to her too and just not acting like himself. He is supposedly taking his medication but his actions haven't changed so I'm alittle suspicious that he isn't taking it. Anyway, just had to get my feelings out.Quite honestly, (and I'm not sure if this is a rational thought, or not) I'm afraid he will just freak out on them and physically hurt them, or something like that. There are some guns in the house and it concerns me, and since he went and blew all of the money I am just scared.

I knew he'd been acting strange lately- but I think my family has shielded me from hearing the whole story and it just came out.

Good morning everyone!!! The little snow we had yesterday morning didn't amount to much, thank goodness!! However we are in a deep freeze now and the temp this morning registers 11 degrees!!!! I think I need a nice warm breakfast (at WDW)!!! ;) Grab a hot steaming drink and we'll have some french toast!!!

frenchtoast.jpg

I hope everyone has a Fabulous Friday!!!!! :cool1:

Well, guys, I just want everyone to know that I am still in the process of trying to get the perfect/passable picture of the B' family before I send my Christmas cards. I thought it might be nice if you all got to actually see us. :teeth: The ones I had printed yesterday (with adorable holiday borders); Gary said were too dark!!! Now I have to start over. My "goal" is to have them sent out sometime this weekend. :rolleyes1

2x2s:: I actually made it to the Hallmark store yesterday, but they were sold out of all the Tink ornaments. They still had the display and they were really cute!! I did pick up a Mickey ornament that I really liked. It's called "Ringing in Christmas".

I saw this one and thought of you..

qmp4017_xxl.jpg

April:: Too funny about the dream with lyzziesmom and her family!!!
WooHoo!!! :woohoo: Only 4 more days until you're in WDW ....again!! :teeth:

Yolanda:: Glad that Keagan's teacher was alerted to the situation. Perhaps she knew, but the substitute didn't? At least they won't be in the same class next year.

Amber:: I love all your pics!! I saw a special last weekend about assembling the Gingerbread House at the GF. It was a re-run, but still interesting to watch!!

Lesa:: Hey. I love the Disney ornaments you made!!! They look very professional, I'm impressed!!! :thumbsup2

Rhaine78/Jessica WELCOME to the Cliqueless thread!!! :welcome: :welcome:
Congrats on your recent marriage!! princess: :groom: Your Disney Honeymoon will be fantastic, I'm sure!!!

DznyFan:: I'm sorry about the family problems with your father's arrangements and your sister's probable reaction. April's advice is good, but sorry your dad wasn't more specific about what being buried next to his deceased wife actually involved.

Sorry guys I'm running out of time and must get a move on!!! Hi!! :wave2: to everyone. Last night Nathan had BBall practice and tonight is his school Christmas program. It's going to be rushed around here this evening. Will chat with you all later!!!
Have a super day!!!

Good Morning!

Ashley, :grouphug: is your grandfather on medication? It can take a long time to get the medicine and dosage right, so people don't get better right away. Is it possible for them to remove the guns from the house without him knowing? He may get angry if he goes looking for them, but at least he wouldn't have them. He may try to harm himself too. It is a very scary situation for all involved. If you need to talk, let me know.

Oh, and I think those shoes are cute. I would get them. They look like a conversation starter.

Lin, that seller's description is very misleading. If he won't change the shipping cost, then you can contact ebay. Tell ebay that the seller is trying to change the terms after the sale. They may let you out of the contract.

Linda, :rotfl: that story is too funny.

DznyFan, I think April made good points. I can see how you would be a little upset, just for the simple fact that you weren't consulted, but if your dad is happy with it, that's all that really matters.

As for the gingerbread house, it is HUGE. They actually have a little shop inside. A CM is in there and you can buy all sorts of goodies. They have everything from a single shingle (the same kind they use to make the house) to chocolate figures (like the Santa I posted). You can also buy a replica of the house. It is a bit pricey.

Good morning ladies - and gent!

Donna, that was one wonderful breakfast! We were at a whopping 16 degrees when I left my house this morning.... brrrrrrr.

Linda - he took tons of pics, didn't he! As you can see by the emotion in the photos, the show was awesome! Very, very funny.

Ashley -  So sorry to hear about your Grandpa. What he did with the refi on the house is just insane! (not insinuating anything there) Your poor Grandma has got to be so distressed going through all that. I hope for your family's sake that he starts actually taking his meds - if he's not, as you suspect. That's just such a sad story.

Lin - thank you! The main HS does a great job with costuming and sets. So my sister is your mother, huh? :lmao: Cool! I always wanted a niece!

Donna - I love the ornaments! I'm getting Erin the Belle ornament for Christmas, but I really like the Cinderella slipper - I think I'll see if I can find that one, too. Have a wonderful time at Nathan's Christmas program tonight!

DH was so sweet this morning - he and DD went out last night and made a Build-A-Bear for me for our wedding anniversary, he surprised me with it this morning as I was getting ready for work - he's a little brown bear with fishing clothes/gear - I guess because DH is always off hunting and fishing. Very cute! Now I have a bear for each one of them - DD got me one for Mother's Day a couple years ago that is a purple bear with a coconut bra, hula skirt, and hula accessories - because she Hulas. (DD, not the bear).

Later, all and HI everybody!! :wave2:
