Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 2

Hi everyone!!

Hope you guys are having a nice weekend.

Tonight Jeremiah & I went to go to see "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams. It was a good movie-- but I'm getting so sick of movies being categorized as "comedy" or "drama" when they are not. This movie had some funny parts- but it was NOT a comedy! I can think of 2 other examples right off my head that were out recently too as "comedies" and mis-advertised- The Break Up and Click. It really annoys me. :sad2:

Donna- I think we have you beat with the amount of money we spent. The movie was $18.50 for the two us- and $20 for a small popcorn, 2 drinks and some candy! So we spent about $40!! That is crazy.

Hope you have all have a nice Sunday!! I'm going to spend mine cleaning and watching basketball. :wave2:

Good morning everyone!!! I hope everybody had a fun Saturday. Mine was very hectic.
I think I'm ready to unwind and have something fun for breakfast. How's about Mickey pancakes!!

I know this one's ears aren't quite right. Something is wrong.

I hope everyone has a Special Sunday!!!! :wave2:

Good morning everyone! :sunny: Thanks for the breakfast! My antibiotics are finally kicking in and I feel like jumping back in. Sorry I've been MIA.

Lyzziesmom-- Nothin' but love  for you here. Way to pick yourself up and move on! You know we all love ya!

Oh, I wish I could join you all for the trip! Hope you all have a great time!

The Ant Bully wasn't bad, wasn't so good that I'd buy the dvd. Hope that helps. I'm waiting for Happy Feet to come out. My son and I try to do a mom and son thing with just the two of us once a month and this is what he chose for this month as our "special" time. He see's me everyday so I'm not so sure what makes this special other than that's what we call it. :teeth:

Sorry if there are typo's in this hting. We have a new kitten and he's endlessly fascinated with my hands typin on the keyboard. I forgot how much fun they can be :goodvibes . But boy are his teeth sharp!

Well, I'm off to churh this morning and then I've got to catch up on laundry. Hope everyone has a breat day and I'll pop back in later to catch up with everyone.

Very cute pancakes! You're right though, something isn't quite right. I don't think it's the ears, I think it's the face. It would look better without the face. And the little butter hat. But delicious nonetheless!!

My kids let me sleep in this morning until 10:15! :cloud9: And I took an accidental 2-hour nap yesterday too. Now my back is killing me from lying down so long, but I think I'm finally all rested up.

I just took a good look out my front window and noticed that all the leaves have fallen off our big tree. When did that happen? I didn't even notice that they had turned.

Good Morning!!

I also saw that the Mexico ride will be down while we are there. I'm sad :sad2: I love that ride. It is so relaxing and cool. The Mexico pavillion is one of my favorites. I do hope that the refurbished ride will be better tho.

We watched Cars last night. My parents took the kids to see it so Blake and I had never watched it. It was really cute!!

I almost never go to the movies anymore. I don't like to sit still that long. At home I lay on the couch when we watch movies and it is just too expensive anymore.

Donna, thanks for the pancakes!

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

Michele, I know exactly what you mean about the movies being so expensive. That's why I was so happy to find the discount 2nd-run theater here in town last week. I can't believe I've lived here 5 years and didn't know about it! Of course, it's in kind of a shady area and the theaters are tiny, the seats are uncomfortable and the lobby smells like rancid oil, but heck, it's cheap and the kids don't care, and it's cheap!!

Here's a picture of Emma at the movies yesterday with her cotton candy:

Sorry for the quality, the lighting was pretty bad.

Hey Donna...thanks for the pancakes....is that real butter? I like mine with real butter. ;) I would like to take the boys to that movie...although they haven't seen one or two. We are traveling to Kentucky for Thanksgiving to see my brother. Maybe we can catch a movie while we are there.

Michele...I'm with you on watching movies from the couch. :thumbsup2

lyzziesmoms...that bag of cotton candy was as big as Emma! What did the after picture look like... :teeth: my boys still seem to get it all over themselves.

Hey Ashley...do you like comedy's best when you go to the movies? I do...especially romantic comedies.

Posey...did you enjoy the game? :woohoo: Have you heard any news about the injured player?

We actually got got our Christmas light up yesterday and I planted some pansies that were about to die from sitting in the flat too long. :rolleyes1 I've got some water on them...it's very windy today.

That's funny. I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. No wonder she wouldn't sit still :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Linda...Pete's ear is much better...although I'm on the watch for the other one since he's still so congested. :rolleyes1 I do think sometimes kids don't feel the pain from an ear infection until it burst...so don't fell bad. :grouphug:
good that the one ear is better. Hopefully the other one will stay clear from infection pixiedust: I know what you mean, Kenny hardly ever complains of anything, so when he does I know something is wrong. Except he sometimes says his belly hurts if he doesn't want to eat;) I've never used ME either. I've heard fantastic things about it but we just drive. We like having "our" car.
Lots of pixy dust for the little basket ball player :cheer2: It is awesome watching them learn and grow from game to game.

lyzziesmom... 5 minute commute :faint: I wouldn't know what to do w/a 5 minute commute :woohoo: that is so awesome!! And Black Friday off too  :cheer2: me too!! But I don't go shopping  way too many people out for me!! ::yes:: A non disney meet in your area would be fun of coarse!!you BOOKED your trip :woohoo: :cheer2:  It'll be ok! You need this :cool1: Don't worry about getting lost...I'll email you my cell # .
Oh...we don't go to the movies much either and for us the tix are $15, popcorn and pop is $8 so we get to go to a NEW theatre w/stadium seating and everything for $23 :woohoo:

2x early afternoon arrival :woohoo: just trying to see who all would be available and wanting to go to LeCellier for dinner :cheer2: Love the Poly pix!

Donna, you're right, it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks :snooty: we don't need anyone elses approval! SC3 was cute wasn't it!! Kenny really liked it!

No worries Michele :teeth: tell Blake that you'll be in good company! I think Mike is even looking forward to this! I told him I got tickets about the Pirate and Princess party and he was like " ok, I'm with you so it will be fine" :cloud9: how sweet!!!Yes..laying on the couch for movies is much better!

Hey there Ashley! I know what you mean about movies :sad2: not what they advertise!

:rotfl2: that cotton candy IS about as big as Emma  thankfully Kenny is a neat freak and he is not a messy kid..thank goodness!!

Have a good evening everybody!!

Hi, Everyone!! I hope you all had a good Sunday. Mine was kind of quiet. I roasted a chicken for dinner. Had mashed potatoes, corn and green beans with it. It must have been pretty good there wasn't much left. :teeth:

lyzziesmom:: Emma's pic is precious!! Good grief!!! That's the biggest bag of cotton candy I've ever seen!!

YourMajesty:: We had planned on putting up at least our light clips this weekend, but was still too wet outside to be able to get on a ladder.
Your boys haven't seen The Santa Clause movies? I think they're such cute Christmas movies!

keagansmom:: I'm glad your feeling better. Why don't our Fairie Maidies do our laundry when we're sick? It's just not fair I tell ya'!!!

I think I'm pooped from my weekend. Too much running here and there. Now I really just want to crash!! :cloud9:

Wow, we left the house at noon today and just got back an hour ago!! In between carting Lyzzie from one party to another, Emma and I went shopping and walked around the big mall around here that I've only been to once. I didn't even buy very much, I was very proud of myself!

Wasn't that a big cotton candy Emma had? We actually all shared it so it wasn't as much as it seemed. She was a sticky mess though, she hasn't yet learned not to lick her fingers between every bite!

We went to dinner tonite at the Golden Corral buffet because I wanted to eat a lot, since I can't eat after pumpkin time tonight or tomorrow until I get home in the afternoon. Emma kept talking about Mickey Mouse, it turns out she found a hidden Mickey! Clever girl. Can you spot it? I'm so proud of my little Disneymaniacs.

Linda, I never go shopping on Black Friday either. Yes there are some great deals, but I just can NOT deal with the crowds!! It sounds like you have a great movie theater that you go to, those prices are good for a new place. In FL there used to be a place, it wasn't new but it was remodeled, and all movies were $4 and all snacks/drinks were $1. They were first-run movies but there were only about 4 screens. It was great!! I can't imagine why they didn't stay in business too long.

Here's another funny Emma story for you all: A little while ago, Emma was kneeling at the table and I heard her grunting. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "Busy pooping." A few minutes later I told her it was changing time, and she said, "NO, still pooping. Leave me alone!!" She was so serious too, I couldn't help laughing! I guess at that age it IS pretty serious business.

YM, Christmas lights up already? I can't even think about it until Thanksgiving is over & done with. This year I don't think we will have much, if anything, outside. Coming from apartments, I just don't have many outdoor lights or decorations, and I will probably buy a bunch after Xmas when they are really cheap. That's when I do all my decoration shopping, and then by the next Xmas I forgot what I bought and it's so much fun to unpack everything and surprise myself!

Hi all!!!!!!

First of all----Lyzziesmom----Lots of P&PD for your procedure on your back tomorrow!!!!! :grouphug: pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust:
Take care of yourself and get some rest!!!!

Yes, I will most likely be taking ME in Feb.

Cute pic of Emma and her bag-o-sugar!!!! Nothin' like the discount theater!!!!! Sticky floor and all. There is one in our area that used to have an organ player as a pre-show. He was hilarious. It is about 40 min. away from my house now, so I rarely get to go there anymore. I hope he is still there.
Funny story about the $1 show. I was in my early 20's---looong time ago. My friend and I went to the show----keep in mind that this is before stadium seating--and of course, it was the $1 show. Anyway, back then, for some reason----well it was the '90's----I have curly hair anyway and had a perm on top of that----I know cute, huh----my hair was cut somewhat short and I used to wear a headband to keep it away from my face. It's really not as bad as is sounds. Actually it was cute----anyway----my friend has curly hair too. We sat down to watch the movie-----it was very crowded so we didn't have much of a seating choice. We hear the lady behind us tell her husband-----and not in a whisper----ALL I CAN SEE IS HAIR!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: We still laugh about that til this day!!!!

By the way, I called main ressies yesterday to check on something and I spoke to a super sweet CM that was telling me that they go by the flight number, not necessarily the airlines. I was questioning her about Southwest and how you need to get your own baggage onto ME. She checked into it and said they service pretty much any of the airlines. Please, please, please don't quote me on this. I would hate to be the reason someone didn't get their luggage------cuz 2x said.

I figured we would probably all exchange cell #'s when it gets closer so we can connect. Depending on our flight arrivals, some of us may be on the same ME bus. I actually love the service----took it when I went solo and had "no worries". Very comfy and cozey and love the video on the way over. Really starts the Disney magic!!

Donna----thanks for making me laugh!!!! I needed that-----zip-a-dee-doo-dah baby!!!!!!
Thanks for the Mickey pancakes too!!!!! You know we all love ya for all of your hard work!!!!!
Re:--DisneyMomOK----did I miss a post or something?? Or just my usual last one to be informed?? I'm lost.

I know what you all mean about people not understanding, although my immediate family all are very supportive. My dad said "cool" when I told him :teeth: and my sister totally gets it. My mom has known from the very start and surprisingly hasn't said anything but positive things. I talk about everyone so much that I think she thinks she knows you all too. My friends are the ones who think I'm a bit out there. I was talking to one of them the other day. I haven't talked to her since we got back from the trip. She asked how my meeting up with "those people" went. First of all----you guys aren't "those people"!!!! To me that sounds so negative. I told her that it wasn't until Feb. and she said she thought that my parents went with me to meet you guys. Ummmm, no, I'm a big girl. :lmao:  I don't need "protecting".

Michele----deal on the lotto/Poly. Same here. Now I must play. :teeth:
Do watch the Oprah----I usually don't watch her but this was an excellent show.

YM----way to be proactive on the Christmas lights!!!! I am still shaking my head at the time of year. I'm in denial.

Hi Linda---count me in on LeCellier.
I'm sure we'll recognize our little Cassanova----Kenny, not Mike. :teeth: :teeth: :lmao:

2x, I've used ME with Southwest twice, and here's the deal. ME will pick up your luggage for you on the way TO WDW, no worries. Just put the nifty yellow tags on, check your bags at your home airport, and it'll come to your room without you ever seeing it until then. On the way BACK home, you have to bring your luggage to the ME bus and then check it in at the airport. Really not a big deal - you pretty much only have to handle it between the bus and the check-in desk at the airport. Luggage Services at the hotel will hold it for you (including any carryons) between checking out of your hotel and getting on the ME bus, in case you want to go to a park or go shopping or eat or... whatever. It's super easy!

Thanks for the pixie dust for my ablation tomorrow. Your hair story had me cracking up! I also had a perm on my curlyish hair in the early 90s. It would have been cute, except for two things: one chunk on the side of my head didn't "take" the perm, so I had a straight piece. The other thing... bangs. She permed 'em. 'Nuff said. I looked like an electrified poodle. Not a good thing when you're 14 and discovering boys.
(ETA: upon re-reading this, I realize that the poodle-perm at 14 was in the late 80s, not the early 90s. As DBF would say, "What's the difference?" :confused3)

I like the idea about exchanging cell phone numbers. I bet some of us WILL end up on the same ME bus. Won't that be fun?? I'm getting so excited!!

Donna---your dinner sounds most delicious!!!! Nothing like a good home cooked meal on a Sunday evening. I had Imo's pizza earlier this afternoon. It was good but now I'm feeling blah. Your's sounds much more inviting----and healthy!!!!

Lyzziesmom----ahhh, you're teaching them well!!!! I do remember that Lyzzie was little miss hidden Mickey----good to hear Emma is following in her big sis' footsteps. I'm guessing the candy cups???? Is this correct??
I found a hidden Mickey in the concrete of the stairs at Portafino Bay Hotel at (shhh) US------I'll have to post it when I have a minute.
BTW, that is such a beautiful pic of Emma!!!!! She looks so innocent!!!! I love her outfit, esp. her hat!!!! I meant to tell you (maybe I did?? sorry---2x's memory) that the pics you posted a while back of the girls playing in the yard----Emma's outfit is adorable!!!!

Thanks for the explanation of SW---that makes sense.

Sounds like alot saw movies this weekend. I saw A Good Year yesterday. I'm not a huge Russell Crowe fan but went to see it because of its location----Provence, France. The movie was okay----sort of like a male version of Under the Tuscan Sun. I have to admit I didn't really care for it until 1/2-3/4 of the way through. To me, they didn't show enough of the scenery----too much of him----now if it were JD, I would say just the opposite!! :teeth: Anyway, the ending was good----and I loved the flashback scenes with Freddie Highmoore (the little boy who played Peter in Finding Neverland and Charlie Buckett in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)------he played Russell Crowe's character as a young boy---paired up with Albert Finney as his uncle----just lovely!!!! The Chateau, of course, was amazing!!!! Sometimes I get a very strong feeling that I don't belong here in the states (nothing at all against it!!!!)-----I just see myself on a European countryside--ahhh. Now, if only money and a job wasn't such an issue. :teeth:

I may have to turn in soon-----back to work tomorrow. yay!!!! :woohoo: :rotfl2:

lyzziesmom:: Good luck tomorrow. You know we'll all be thinking of you. :goodvibes

About SW and ME....Would it be possible for me NOT to tag one smaller case, with toiletries and extra change of clothes, and take that on and off the bus with me when I get to POFQ? It would be nice not to spend the extra $$ on renting a car, but the idea of going a few hours without toothpaste, make-up and jammies has me very concerned! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

2x, yes you are correct, the HM is in the candy cups. It took me a while to find it, both of the girls were like, "It's right there Mommy, don't you see?" Must be time for another trip, I've lost my eye for the Mouse. Thanks for the compliments on Emma's outfits. I get most of her clothes at this crowded little consignment shop, they have the best stuff that I'd never be able to afford new and some still have the tags on! My mom says I'm known in her neighborhood for having the well-dressed kids. I however am a different story. ;)

I think they have relaxed the restrictions on carry-ons a bit, so you may be able to take travel-sized items and pjs in a carry-on. I would think that would be the easiest way to do it. And yes, if you want to NOT yellow-tag one of your bags you can still pick it up at baggage claim and bring it yourself, although you will be at the airport a little longer. I have seen whole families even pick up ALL their luggage and haul it onto ME, which doesn't make much sense to me because I've got enough to haul around! In the 3 times I've used ME, once with American and twice with SW, I've never had to wait more than an hour or two for the bags. The first time, it got to the room 2 minutes after I did!! I have heard of it taking a long time, but my thoughts are that is during the busy season which I avoid like the plague. Usually I check in, shop at the resort a little, maybe eat a bite at the resort CS, and my bags are there by the time I get back to the room.

Thanks for answering my question, lyzziesmom. I stress over the strangest things. I suppose waiting at baggage claim would defeat my purpose on getting on ME and getting the heck to POFQ and the bus to Epcot as fast as I possibly can!!!
BTW, I've noticed how cute your little darlins dress, too. I used to say I never wanted any kids unless someone could promise I would have a girl!!! They have such cute girly things and the boys things always seemed kind of ho-hum. I of course did change my mind when I found out I was going to have a boy!!! :goodvibes

Well, better get ready for bed. Monday mornings are not something I particularly look forward to. :rolleyes1

Hope you all have a good evening. See you in the morning!! :cloud9:

Donna----

Lyzziesmom explained it better than I ever could. I know it gets a little confusing. Makes my head hurt when I have to think so much. :teeth:

good night!!!

Sleep tight.
