Nathan didn't feel good this morning, said he had a headache and his legs hurt. I thought maybe he was coming down with the achy flu or something. I took him to work with me and he slept most of the morning(which he hardly ever does). I think he was just really tired!!

Lyzziesmom... sounds like you have found a great guy so far Its awesome that he's including the girls! My mom watched Kenny for Mike and I's first date but I never asked again after that. That was only b/c we went to an upscale adult only restaurant. He always included Kenny and treated him so great. Obviously or it wouldn't have ever worked.

pozey I'm sorry...I know it's not funny to you....but you must be neighbors to my x in laws they're millionaires...and you should see their yard lets see... about 15 yrs ago they started putting in an inground pool...they got into it w/the contractors b/c they were putting in square corners and they wanted rounded corners...they offered to do like 5k worth of work for free b/c their mistake...but NO... couldn't do that to this day there is a huge hole w/a big black liner tarp looking thing in their yard w/a snow fence type thing around that area ... they finally built a detached 4 car garage after all these years...they had his first boat ever...he's 70 now... one of the cars from the 80's that doesn't run... a huge rv that's 20 yrs old and hasn't moved in ...15!!! they've got an attached 2 car that has junk in it and you can't park in there I don't get it! She didn't work and he retired and fishes every hour he can. I can see enjoying life....but come on...

Whew, its been dead on this thread today!! You all must be pretty busy.

Today I got a late birthday card in the mail and it was a gift certificate to Target. We had to go there anyway, because Jeremiah's shingles are breaking out again and we had to get his prescription. (I don't think I mentioned this, I think I forgot but right before our trip Jeremiah started breaking out in them and you can kind of see them in our trip pictures. Well they went away on our trip and didn't turn into anything major, but this weekend he got a bad outbreak so we had to get his prescription refilled.)

Well anways, we were there so I decided to spend my gift certificate. I got a new blender, and we went to the grocery store right afterwards and got Oreo's & Vanilla Ice cream, and just made Oreo milk shakes. They were very yummy!! And Jeremiah is feeling better already thankfully. Hopefully they clear up fast!!

She got sad that she couldn't have any milk shake, so I just gave her a tiny bit of some vanilla ice cream instead

Today is our 18th wedding anniversary! DH left for work early this morning and put my anniversary present and cards behind the laptop!! I have always gotten the Holiday Barbie for either our anniversary or Christmas. I got the Holiday Barbie and Nathan got me a gift certificate for a wash&wax for my Highlander!!! They're so sweet!!

Nathan was feeling better yesterday afternoon. I made him some soup when we got home and he watched the new Garfield movie.

Ashley::The pictures of Ruby enjoying her ice cream are adorable!! I liked the one of your cat Buddy, too. I saw the pic you posted of one of your cats in the washer!!! It was so funny!!! Wasn't it great to find that Target GC in the mail!!

The guy is supposed to be here after 3:30pm today to install my new microwave. I just can't wait!!! whoopppeee.............

Thanks Donna....DS is up early and enjoyed the waffle. I'm glad Nathan is feeling better. Sounds like 2x will have a relaxing day...hope her mom and dad enjoy their surprise

Ashley, those pics of Ruby are too cute. She has the sweetest face. Before I got Leary, I never gave animals people food. Then, Leary came and looks at me with those big sad eyes and I give him whatever he wants. He is cultured though, I taught him how to eat off fork and spoons.

pozey, your neighbors are but I think I can top you. We live right next to where Mike grew up (his parents sold their house and moved to FL). Anyway, the guy that owns the house rented it out to a family. They never mowed (when they moved out, a tractor was needed to cut everything down. It was about as tall as corn). Anyway, they had cats and left them when they moved. Guess where the cats came? Yep, my house. So, I had no less than 20 cats at my home. We were able to have some picked up, but several still remain. Now, the owners of that house aren't renting anymore and want to keep the cats! That's fine if they want to, but the cats commune on my porch.

Actually I made that last night. DW's company is having a dessert contest today, and I made this for her to enter today. I think they are going to judge the contest about 10:00 a.m. (CST) this morning, so hopefully I will know how I did.

Actually, I think it is more like they "used" to have money. The dad used to own his own computer software consulting business. But the IT industry here in the Tulsa area took a nosedive about 5 years or so ago. So, his company went under. Now he works as a programmer for some other company and probably makes considerably less money.

hmmmm.........trying to think of things I don't do........
I do pretty much everything around the house (we share duties). There are things that I don't LIKE to do, but I do them.

I don't like to iron clothes, but I do it every morning. I iron my clothes and DW's clothes while she is in the shower. I also make the bed while she is showering.

I was brought up with the belief that the man should do just as much around the house as the woman.

The one thing DW complains about is that I like to experiement with food too much. I like to try difference sauces and spices and stuff. And I tend to make things a little too spicy. Oh, and she complains that I dress the boys like I dress myself.....meaning, I am warm natured. I hardly EVER wear a coat or a jacket, and I tend to pick out clothes for the boys the same way.
