2x2s - just me, but I think if I had been taking your salad order, and had you ordered the oil & vinegar on the side (which you did) my first question would have been "so you don't want the caesar dressing, then?". I don't think you were out of line for sending the salad back, it just seems logical that if a person ordered a dressing on the side, then the salad shouldn't be dressed - or at least confirm this. I guess your waiter just didn't get it. Cute story about the nephew!

Illuminations cruises - great idea for you guys! Have any of you been on one before? I'm still in shock over how much the price went up just in the past 3 years - doubled!

Pozey I love his speech. Short and sweet. It covers all the right things and doesn't promise what he can't deliver. I love the ones who promise a longer lunch or shorter classes.

Yes, it is the same son. He is doing great. His scar is healing very well. In about another week or so, you won't be able to tell there was a scar.

We added one line to the speech. Right after he says "I've been going to this elementary school since 2nd grade." he is going to say "Best 8 years of my life!!" (Well, at least I thought it was funny)

And he actually came up to me and asked me how to "flirt" with this girl at school he likes. I told him just to be nice to her and to compliment her on how she looks. I told him to be subtle......just walk by her and casually say "Hey Kayla. You look nice today." And just keep walking.

Looks like it is working. He said they were playing a game during PE and she was yelling "Go Colton!!"

Kenny was killing me as usual... he said he had a headache...so I kissed his forehead. I told him it was a magical kiss and it would make it better. He said kisses aren't magic... oh yes they are and when you're bigger they'll make you see fireworks... he said well today I saw hearts when I saw Courtney..she's so pretty .... Oh man...he's gonna kill me!!!

How CUTE!! Just tell him that Courtney said that Kenny just can't go running around kissing ALL the girls!!

Man, a friend of mine (he's an older (22) friend of my DD's - they met in theatre and has become friends with all of us - we took him on his first trip to WDW this past December) IM'd me today asking questions about Disney cruises! he wants to go on one, and go with a friend, but doesn't know who - somebody who could pay their way - asked me if I wanted to go along!!! Not that it surprised me, we get along well, (and suspect he's gay) but I just wish I could! I told him I'd help him plan his and live vicariously through him. Even though I would in a heartbeat, I just don't think the DH would be too keen on it - (imagine that! )

I tried coffee for the very first time! I was so exhausted so we (my starbucks addicted co-worker and I) went there. I had asked them if I could try a coffee before buying it bc I have never had one and have always hated just smelling coffee. Well I tried it and I hated it (I think that is exactly what my face looked like too). For some reason I decided that maybe I would like espresso instead of reg coffee (my logic was that I am not a beer drinker I like the hard stuff so maybe the same rules apply) well I had a sip and I didnt hate it like I hated coffee. I put a couple (and by a couple I mean 5) splenda in it to sweeten it up.. and I LOVED it ! It did the trick too I didnt yawn the rest of the day at work. As I was driving to school I started to feel it wearing off so I stopped and had another. I made sure not to get one today ( I am hoping to go to bed early) but I think I will have them only on school nights thats way I don't go too broke at starbucks! Nick bought me a gift card to starbucks to welcome me to the club.

I am not a big coffee person. The only way I can drink coffee is with LOTS of sugar and LOTS of creamer. Now.......we have a convenience store around here called QuikTrip. They have a HUGE coffee area. They have a new flavor of cuppaccino.....Bananas Foster. I tried it the other day and it is pretty good!!

Next week is spirit week at the high school, and the thespian club is in charge of organizing it - one day is "Broadway day" and she's going as Belle! My sister made her a perfect replica of Belle's blue dress and apron, and she's wearing it.

That is awsome that she is going to be Belle!! She'll make a great Belle!!

Well, Colton just called me from school. He said that the school assembly where he is going to make his speech begins at 9:45. He asked me if I could come. So, I am leaving now to go watch his speech. Luckily I have my camera in the truck, so I can try to take pictures.

Got the kiddies off to school. Both were complaining they didn't feel well and thought they needed to stay home from school. I brought out the nasty cough syrup and told them if they were sick they needed a nice big dose and had to go back to their rooms for the day because they certainly didn't want to get me sick. Madison asked if she could watch t.v. I said nope, there is no t.v. in your room and you would have to stay in bed and read or sleep. Both seemed to feel better real fast!

I just got back from Walmart to purchase a 12 pack of Coke, (I am totally addicted to Coca Cola!!!)

I am so mad at coke for doing away with their vanilla coke, I refuse to buy from them anymore. I had won 110 2 liter bottles (yes I said 110 bottles ) from them during the Olympic contest. I gave all my coupons away. From now on it's only diet vanilla pepsi for me!

Hey luvdzne Hope you can join us....you said it best "desperate need of some me time"....I'm going without the gang. DH said good... it would be cheaper that way. Plus, we decided on calling it a convention to ease the blow to the kids. There is actually a convention center at CR.

DH said I could go if I can get someone to look after the kids while he's at work. Any volunteers?

Sorry to sound harsh but was I being a spoiled brat?? Was I not clear?? Be honest, I can take it---seriously, I'd like to know if I was at fault.

I think you handled it quite well. There is nothing I hate more than having my order screwed up. Actually you were quite a bit nicer than I would have been after he stood there just staring like an idiot!

Just got a call from the school nurse at Madison's school. She said that Madison was down there because she was not feeling well. She said there is no fever and she thinks she has a cold. She said she was going to send her back to class but wanted to clear it with me as she thought she would be o.k. Of course I said yes and that if she comes home it's off to bed with her. Well she went back to class. My little drama queen.

I wanted to thank whoever sent good weather this way.

The sun is out and it is going to be much warmer!

I'm off to get some work done around here.

We have no clean towels. Plus I have to vacuum up all the dog hair.

Sorry for the blonde moment...I knew she'd be Belle... Erin would make a beautiful Belle!!! If she got on the Magic...I WOULD have to go see her!!! The guy that was Hercules told me it took him 2 years of auditioning to get on... but he loved it! He had to play several parts...he was the "young"hercules. Oh..that would be so awesome!!! she could probably even do Pocahontas...

Well, Colton did great with his speech. The other students responded well to him.

I think they vote later today. It is basically a popularity contest, so it is anyone's guess who will will. There are 2 other students that are running for President. And only one of them is a girl, so she may end up getting all the girls' votes....

I'm proud of him even if he only gets one vote.

Oh, I have to tell you about his "Best 8 years of my life" line.....

Most of the kids laughed. Since there were some 3rd graders in there, it went over some of the kids heads.

However, the teacher and other parents got a real kick out of it. In fact, one teacher laughed so hard and just couldn't stop laughing. She had to turn her back to the wall and hide her face. It was one of those things where you get to laughing and can't stop.
