2X2S- have fun at the BBQ! Save me some pie! :teeth:

Have a great day!

Nicole... glad you have your package. :woohoo: Are you ready to pack?

Ashley...yippee....you get to go shop.

What's everyone having for dinner? I'm thinking dessert for dinner tonight...everyone keeps talking about chocolate cake. :teeth:

Hi everyone!!

YM, I went to Cheesecake Factory (my favorite) for dinner tonight. It's been almost a year since I ate there! It was very yummy, I got teriyaki chicken and subsituted rice for mashed potatoes. It was sooo good, but I didn't get any cheesecake! :guilty: I wish I had, but I was so stuffed!!!

DH also got some clothes at Macy's that were on sale. He got 3 shirts and a belt for $40! They were an awesome deal, because its normally a very expensive brand. Ofcourse, you will all see these in my trip photos. :teeth: And ofcourse Donna, you will see them in person!! ;) :teeth:

Yummm...sounds like a good dinner.I was so bad tonight for dinner. My back was hurting all day today...and yesterday and the day before  You get the picture...so I decided we needed some comfort food. I grabbed my DS and we went on a store run. We ended up having nachos (cheese and bean) followed by candy bar sundaes. :faint: :ssst: don't tell 2xcited

Wow...what a good deal you got at Macy's. Did you get anything for yourself? I got DH some Nike t-sirts at Khols for $6.00 (plus 20% off)... after kids I don't find myself shopping near as much.

Hey Donna...if you don't get any chocolate cake try a candy bar sundae. My DS had a blast helping me make them but in reality I think they were a little rich for us. Maybe just candy bars chopped up and sprinkled over ice cream...but the caramel and hot fudge and almonds was overboard...glad I got that out of my system. :teeth:

YourMajesty::The candy bar sundaes sound a little "rich"!! I just had Lite ice cream with caramel Magic Shell. It will go right to my butt when I go to bed!
I made DS try on jeans today. He's grown so much I wasn't sure what size he would need. Ended up with a size 10...he's a tall boy!!!(This was the first time I have made him try something on before buying it.) Not his favorite thing to do, but did it anyway. :goodvibes I guess the point is, I need to find a sale!!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: I can't find a smiley with big hips....but you made me laugh out loud. I know what you mean...I feel like a one of those bugs they talk about that can go 18 months with no food and not die. I swear I only need about 500 calories a day. :teeth:

Oh my...you need a gold star for getting your DS to try on jeans. You would think my boys are going to "die" when I make them try something on. In fact I have several things hanging in my youger son's closet that I need him to try on to make sure they will fit as the weather gets cooler. He's my tall one so they need to be a little long at first...then in a month or two they will be prefect. I just haven't had the "will" to fight with him to try them on. Your DS does sound tall...is he getting ready to turn 8? My oldest turned 9 in July and is 53"...which is about 50% on the growth grids. My youger DS is 6 1/2 and is 50"...which is a dot above the 95th%. My oldest is wearing tens in jeans and 8-10 in most other stuff.

Have you ever read the June B. Jones books? I had bought some for my oldest and he read a few on his own. My younger son started first grade and his reading is just ok. I started reading the June B. Jones books to him and they are pretty funny. We also like the Beverly Clearly books (especially listening to them on tape or cd in the car)...and magic tree house books. Do you guys have any favorites?

Think I'll turn in for the night. Sleep tight. See you in the morning!

Uuuuhhhh, somebody stick a fork in me---I'm done!!!!

We had so much food it was really unbelievable!!!! For some reason, my aunt decided we needed appetizers plus the huge dinner, plus dessert of course. So, here's what the menu consisted of for 15 adults and 4 small children and we were even missing 3 of the adults:

starters: olive tray, salami and cheese platter with assorted crackers, guacamole with chips, veggie tray with 2 varieties of dip, fresh fruit tray.

dinner: smoked turkey breast, BBQ pork loin roast, BBQ pork tenderloin, smoked pork tenderloin, BBQ chicken, au gratin potatoes, chicken and noodles, corn, tossed salad, steamed green beans, baked apples, garlic bread, and slaw (see side note).

dessert: peach pie w/ vanilla ice cream, chocolate angel food cake, and Key Lime Pie (thanks DznyFan--PERFECTION!!)

So, as you can tell from the above you ALL could have come over and we still would have had tons of food!!! It was a joke that we were going to go out into the street and start hailing cars down as they drive by to come in for dinner.

Slaw side note---we set all of the food out buffet style. We were eating dessert when my cousin yelled from the kitchen----"does anyone want any slaw??" She was getting something out of the fridge and found the slaw still in there. :lmao: oops. I have no idea where it would have fit on the table, though.

Donna--aww man, don't tell me I'm gonna have to fight with you too over JD?? He's all mine, I tell ya!! MINE. :p You can have Phillip. Love the house, btw!! What's the decor?? Modern Knight in Gale?? :teeth:
Way to go girlie on your smoke free living!!!!! :smokin: not any more.
Like your new sparkly signage too. :thumbsup2 a thumb.

YM---flying out of Lambert St. Louis--- :dance3:. Are we serious about this, because if we are we need to start thinking. I'm in if anyone else is. :teeth:

Ashley---We have two Cheesecake Factories in the area now. I seem to get the same type of things everytime--either the lettuce wraps or spring rolls. Even the appetizers are so huge I never have room for cheesecake. Every so often though, I will get a piece of the Godiva chocolate and make it last for a week. Just a couple of bites a day because it is so rich.
How sweet of your grandparents to send you an early anniversary gift. This will come in handy, I'm sure!!

Nicole---yay for your package in the mail today!! Makes it all real, huh??

Whoops YM, your post just popped up. My DS will be 8 on the 10th. He was 54" tall in the early summer, so may be a bit taller now. Has been about the tallest in his class since Kindergarten.
Nathan reads some Junie B. Jones. My niece used to read them and passed them down. Strangely enough he enjoys reading books about Dinosaurs, Mummies...sort of reference type books. There is a series out called Frannie K. Stein Mad Scientist that I really like. I try to pick one up for DS when they are available through his book club at school.

Goodnight Donna...I saw you hit 600...I think we need some celebrating.... :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :yay: :dance3: :bounce: :dancer: :rockband: party: :jumping1:

editted to add...your DS is very tall...since that was when he was 7 it's above the 95th%....

Oh, YM---you are TOTALLY BUSTED!!!!!

But as you can see from my menu tonight I didn't do so hot myself. I filled up on appies, did okay with dinner---mainly just meat and veggies but had a tiny piece of ALL desserts. :hyper:

I must ask who's idea this was for the sundaes and have you done this before??

My niece reads June B. Jones books and loves them. I haven't really looked at them but I know they are supposed to be darling. I am not sure if she reads Bev. Cleary but I remember some of them when I was a little girl. I used to LOVE, love, love Judy Blume.

600 Posts!!!???? I owe it all to you guys!!!! :dance3: party: :rockband: :drinking1 :dogdance: :flower1: :grouphug:

2Xcited::That menu sounds awesome!!! Nathan and I should have crashed!!! We could have driven the streets of St. Louis and perhaps been flagged down by a crazy Italian family!!! :rotfl2:
My castle decor IS fit for a Princess! :thumbsup2 Did you notice my reference to Pin-cess huh did ya'??

The trip plans sound super. I will have to start saving big time, however. This year we didn't get a big property tax bill, but will in 2007. DH pays the mortgage, but taxes are my baby. I know, we're weird. Have always had seperate accounts, just works well for us.

Yep, I told you that you and Nathan could have come by---although this is not my Italian side of the family. Sad to say, but I very rarely see them. This is my mom's side---the side that cooks for an army.

Yes, I did notice your Pin-cess reference. Was that meant for lil ol me??

Hmm, me thinks we need to get our brains in motion for a winter getaway. :smooth:

Gosh Girlies, if we're going on a trip together maybe you should PM me your names??! :teeth:
I think I am kicking myself for not renewing my AP!! :furious:
Oh, and we could sit out side by the pool and read Stephanie plum books!!
I have never seen the Electric Water Parade.
I want to ride Splash Mtn in the dark(again)!!

DH would probably kill me!!!! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone

I did have a fun day today!!!

YM: I did get 5 shirts today. 3 from Old Navy and 2 from Delia's. (Actually, two from one Old Navy and 1 from another. Yes, I went to two seperate Old Navy's today :bitelip: ) I have been getting alot of clothes lately! I haven't gotten any new ones for awhile though, so its ok. pirate:

Donna: Love your new graphic (is that what its called?) in your siggy! Jeremiah HATES trying on new clothes, too. With a passion..He barely ever does. He paid the price, because the other day we got him some dress pants for work and they were waaaay too tight.  Of course he ripped all the tags off first thing, before he tried them on :furious: so I couldn't return them. Anybody need a pair of 34 (waist) by 29 pants? :teeth:

2xcited: Wow, all that food sounds delicious!! Did you get any leftovers to take home??? They do have HUGE portions at Cheesecake Factory. Its amazing!! I have plenty for lunch tomorrow. Do you have to work Monday??

Hope everyone had a great Saturday! It's been slow here today.

Darn skippy---just as long as Joyce Barnhardt doesn't show up in her black SUV and her cheesy black bounty hunter uniform.
