Oh, I had so much fun - I can't wait until next year's. I know there were pictures taken by a school photographer last night, and the BATV crew was there (Cox chnl 20) but I don't know if there's anything up on the website yet. I will look when I get a sec and post a link if there is.

Tiff- it is not a new book but it is a very good book. I think there are 12 in the series I am going to go buy #2 tonight. I learned about the book on this thread everyone is a fan!

We honeymooned at Disney and on the Wonder and then I went back to work at The Disney Store. I've worked for TDS since 2000 and am an ASM in Frisco, Texas. to all of you who shop there! I'm a dog fanatic and a huge fan of Dogs Deserve Better and the Humane Society and I have two crazy little Pomeranians. I also love to make pie and cake! Thats about it! Hi everyone!!

I finally get to sit down today, it's been a long one.

Bad news for Matt...the team we were supposed to play tomorrow won't play us. They are the team that accused us of running up the score 2 weeks ago. We were supposed to play them again and they refuse. 2 of the teams in our conference don't have JV teams so sometimes we have to play a team more than once. So no playing time for Matt this week. Homecoming is Friday night and a handful of JV players were invited to dress and be on the field with the varsity ( they won't play) and Matt wasn't asked. He says he will have more fun in the stands, which is probably true!

I had to take him today to get a dress shirt and tie for the homecoming dance Sat night. He has a black suit and she is wearing a black and white dress. He wanted a black shirt, and he is so slight that we had a hard time finding one to fit. He picked out a beautiful red tie. We are going to get her red roses for her coursage.

When we finally got home I ran to Arby's for dinner [ we eat so well when Blake is gone ] Got home and they forgot to put my food in the bag!! Briana just called, she is picking up White Castles and wanted to know if I wanted some. So I will be spending the rest of the evening in the 'library'

Lesa, Dad is soooo bored!! He is painting the outside of the house and called to see if Nick wanted to come over and help so he could have someone to talk to...he missed mom so much!

Blake emailed again. He said they don't plan to leave the hotel, that the area around there is actually quite scary. He said the poverty and filth makes him sad and very grateful to be an American

Gotta help with homework now!!

Linda---you mean you had your root canal right then and there?? Oh my, talk about not having time to "mentally" prepare. eek. This reminds me of when I first went to the dr. for my autoimmune. All of a sudden she started tossing all kinds of big words around and throwing me back on the table to start a bunch of biopsies. All I kept thinking was, "um, yeah, I have to be at work in an hour." So much for that.

tell me about it! That sounds like me too... "what are you talking about do this and that...I gotta go to work!"

Well, I made it through the day----barely. I had about a 20 minute break so I went into one of the spa rooms to lie down. I think I dozed off---luckily woke back up in time for my next client.

Anyway, we had our mandatory monthly meeting and one of our mangagers/owners got up--all excited----and said that after much consideration, they have finally come to a decision of where our Christmas party will be this year. In the years past we have bowled, gone skiing, etc. So, she starts talking and in her giddy voice-----these words exit her mouth-----"Put on your formals, cuz you're goin' to the PROM."




OH.........JOY.



You're laughing at me, aren't you?????


Call me the wallflower cuz...well.....I didn't like my first prom (20yrs ago, thank you) so why would I want another?? I ask simply??


I know, Pin-cess, don't be a p. pooper.


Why can't we just have a nice dinner somewhere---better yet, give me my bottle of wine and a bonus and leave it at that.






I think I may be out of town that weekend.

I didn't like prom either. I went to cos competition instead of prom a few years and my Sr. year we had 3 proms...mine, his and our vocational schools and at his ...his buddy and his date were fighting all night and he thought he had to get in the middle to "help" oh joy! that was exciting!! I'd been as thrilled as you...but we don't even have anything at our company!!

2x - that doesn't sound SO bad for a Xmas party. At my work, we have it right at the office. They cater in some fancy schmancy food that nobody likes, and raffle away gifts that nobody wants, and then announce that the party was funded out of our profit sharing, aka Holiday Bonus. Nice.

If you are 'out of town' in KC for the weekend I always adore visitors - haven't had any in the new house yet! I must warn you though, I am a lousy housekeeper and a worse cook. But KC does have lots of good restaurants!

I think I am wearing Mom down on the babysitting Emma issue. I mentioned it oh so casually today, and she said she is not crazy about the idea. I said I know, but it would just not be a nice relaxing birthday weekend gift to myself with both kids. I mentioned that we'd like to go to 6 Flags and the zoo and the arch, and she said, "haven't you been to the arch?" I gently reminded her that no, I was not invited when they went. That was met with a moment of silence and then, "Oh. I'll let you know tomorrow." When all else fails, bring on the ol' guilt trip!!

I must admit, I actually considered a quick last-minute weekend trip to Disney instead. I know, I know, we JUST got back! I can't help it, I'm addicted. But, I just can not make my budget stretch that far, no matter how creative I get. Oh well, there's always Feb to look forward to!

This has been the worst day!!

Nothing major but everything minor has gone wrong. My nerves are shot! I miss my husband and my mom.

Latest thing...Matt was complaining about a stiff neck, he couldn't find the heating pad that you heat up in the micro so he decided to make his own...he set fire to a towel!!! Everyone is fine, and the micro still works but the stench in my house is unreal. When he opened the micro the towel looked fine on the outside but the inside was smoldering away. Thank God he didn't burn himself.

I got a notice from Nick's Kung Fu instructor that they are raising the tuition, which is fine but included was a memo that parents will no longer be able to come into class to watch!! What's up with that? It's not like a dance class where you don't watch the rehearsals but you get to see the show. No show for Kung Fu!! So now the one sport that Nick does he doesn't get to show it off to us. That stinks!!
