I have a questions for all you Texans. We are going to Arlington this Wednesday on a last minute trip for Spring Break and my DS-16, DS-13, & DD 10.75 are wanting to go to Six Flags.
While I would rather be at WDW, this is our only option right now. I haven't been there since the late 70's. Do any of you have any thoughts on the park or any insider tips?

I haven't been there is years, but I have heard from others that it has sort of gone to the rough crowd. I do not know how accurate that is since I haven't been, but I do know that you can't even come close to comparing it with WDW! I have heard that Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is still family-oriented. Google Six Flags Arlington or check with Epinions.
Hello fellow Texans . I was wondering if anyone has every camped or been on the Brazos river. We are thinking about going sometime this summer before school starts. Are there any "family friendly" places???
We are looking at New Bransful (spelling?) or Fredricksburg. Any help would be appreciated

We went on a family vacation to New Braunfels a few years ago. We stayed at Resort at the Bahn in a condo with 14 people. We had a blast!! We could just walk into the Schlitterbahn in the morning, walk back for lunch, then back to the park until time for dinner. My DH and I could happily spend the entire day in the Torrent Wave River. The kids loved the kiddie pools. I hope that helps.
We are in the Fort Hood area, Kempner, Lampasas County to be exact. My DH, DS and DSIL are all in the Amry and in Iraq. We are starting to plan trip for when they all get back in June 09.
Anyone else in the Military?
San Angelo here. Grew up here, married DH, who's military, and have since lived in Alabama, South Carolina, and Maryland, and now back home. But, as you can see in my signature, I am finally having to leave my home.
But, moving to Florida, close to an hour away from WDW!
Oh, we flew our last trip to WDW and will do so this time, but in July will be driving two cars to Tampa. With DS9 and three dogs!
San Antonio
I am a native, 7th generation in the Republic of Texas.
We drive, bought the Suburban 'cause it has more closet space.
Kids have DVD and PS2.
We take it 2 days...stop for the night in Mossy Head, Fl.
Fix'n to go again Nov. 08
Anyone here from Irving? DS is often performing at the Irving Arts Center, whatever that is-he does musicals there. If you go, please PM me so you can meet him. He's sure I'm talking to "imaginary people" on-line, although he once worked at Disneyland and they warned him about Disney fanatics! He's sure no one's as fanatical as me, and that you're all just Figments of my Disney imagination.
