I am sitting here dreading the next 2 hours. In 1 hour I have to be at the dentist.
I have to have no less than 4 fillings, that is if you count the one he wants to redo, and I do count it! Lest you think I am some kind of slob who never brushes or flosses, 6 months ago I had 0 cavitites. Zero! How do I go from having none to 4? I am doing everything the same. I actually thought I was doing a better job of keeping my teeth clean.
And I jsut hate being trapped in that chair! For some reason it makes me clausterphobic!
I know I am not alone, so I just wanted to post and vent and maybe here from some of you who feel the same way.

. Talk about a bad day! Now my brother has become a dentist and I'm planning on going to him to have all future fillings, caps, etc done (even though he's almost two hours away, my parents could watch my DS while I'm at the dentist and when I'm still numb after). I've already told him, in no uncertain terms, that he WILL be giving me something to help me relax and not panic. Did I mention that Novacaine only works for about 20 min on me? It took a loonnnggg time for me dentist to believe me on that one
Ideally, I'd like to take something to relax starting about 2 days before the appt and then be totally under anesthesia until they're ready to send me home. I always say the best and least painful procedure I've ever had done was the surgical (in the hospital) removal of all 4 impacted wisdom teeth at once. I was eating chips the next day and didn't need any pain meds. Now for a regular filling I take tylenol and don't chew on that side for at least a week
. Best of luck with your appt. Try to imagine you're walking around WDW and hearing the sounds of the parks instead of the drill.

By the time the cleaning was over, I was convinced my dentist was telling me he'd discovered a fatal disease, that I should go on, live my life the best I could but just know that soon, I'd be croaking, but hey... don't worry about it. HUH!?!?!
