Who has used Tiffany and done a grocery stop?

When I called to make the ressie, I requested a grocery stop. I asked if I could request what store to stop at. The lady said, "Well, our drivers only stop at Publix or Albertson's." So I asked her if it is impossible to request Winn Dixie or Super Walmart if I wanted to do that. She sighed and said, "Well, I'd have to put in a special request. Publix is cheapest, you know." So I backed off and said, "OK, Publix is fine."

I asked about prices over on the Budget Board (didn't include Super Walmart), and most said that that Publix was the best choice in their opinion.

My question is, have YOU ever attempted to request a store other than Publix or Albertson's when you booked at Tiffany? If so, was it a problem?

One more question. This is my first time using a towncar company. I leave in just over 2 weeks. Should I expect a phone call confirming pickup time at the airport, or should I be the one to call and confirm? If so, how far in advance should I expect a call or make a call?

Thanks in advance!

I have used Tiffany many times, don't worry they really are great. In my experience the driver will bring you to one of three stores, depending on the time of day and which store tends to be the least crowded. According to one of our favorite drivers (not there anymore) they are all very close in price but some are more crowded on certain days of the week. It also depends on the resort your are traveling to - as to which grocery they may pick. Remember that keeping you to the 20 minutes or so is to the drivers advantage as the number of trips they make determine their income.

We are usually brought to Albertsons and the driver has given us his shopper card, saving me $19.00 last time and getting me my conditioner free with the purchase of the shampoo!.

At Kash n Karry the cashier ran her card through when she found out we were vacationing and didn't need a card. Saved us a few dollars that time as well.

Don't worry, unless your doing a huge order I don't think the amount of savings between one store or the other is worth worrying about.

eta - I haven't gotten a call to verify my pickup but I usually send an e-mail myself reminding them of the details. I also call a day before we leave to return home, again just to verify. I have used TTC 2-4x per year and they are always at the airport waiting and on time for the return trip. It just makes me feel better to confirm.

The confirmation email I got from Tiffany suggested calling 24 hours in advance to confirm pick-up location and time. That would also be a good time to remind them that you'll need a grocery stop.

We just got back from WDW and used Tiffany. I made my ressie by phone and they asked for us to verify the day before. They took us to Kash and Karry. We only bought water and soda. The driver gave us a card to use for the discount and we saved $2, LOL. They also asked us to confirm the day before we left. We did that and both ways were great. Have a great and magical trip.
