I haven't but I have a reservation with that code and I read on another thread a few weeks ago that some one tried to use it and they had to show an id as this is a code for travel agents and they made them pay an outrageous amount. I am not sure if everyone is turned away but I reserved another car at Enterprise just in case. I didn't know this was a code for certain people when I used it, so I was a little suprised when I read some later threads.

I placed a reservation using a travel agent code for my July trip. But, I also have a backup reservation just in case. Something tells me they may deny my rental but I am going to try it anyway just to see what happens.

Some have reported being asked to show IDs. It's really not the most terrific idea to try and use a code that you are not entitled to. But it's up to each person to decide how much of a chance they want to take.

The experiences of others don't really matter. If you try to use a code you don't qualify, you always run the risk of getting an employee that does their job by following the rules. Be prepared for that. Whether 20 people or only 1 person on this board has gotten through the cracks does not really better or lessen your chances since this is just a small representation of people among an entire population.

:flower3:If you take that chance, it is your business, but if you are denied, PLEASE be considerate of those standing in line behind you. Nobody enjoys the lines. Being forced to endure more time in a line because someone is arguing about whether they qualify for a code is not the way the rest of us want to start our vacation.

I was going to post exactly what Sleepy said: even if some people are able to use the code, you have to be prepared for the possibility that you might not be able to.

Also, remember that most of these include insurance coverage---and you should also assume that that coverage will not apply to you. Have separate, primary insurance that includes damange, liability, and loss of use.

You ask a question about a questionable code and you don't expect arguments? :rotfl:. Even the very mention of these codes will spark argument, you should know better. :rolleyes1popcorn::

Yes I see. A simple request and it can't be answered simply. How annoying :sad2:

I don't know where everyone is coming up with this particular code as being a travel agent code, it has been established months ago that this code was made up or a mistake by someone on fat wallet.... I have not read anywhere that anyone was denied using it, only that it couldn't be used at the kiosk

There is a different code out there that was for a travel agent and a couple of people were denied using it

Very true. Sometimes I wish there could be a q&a section without discussion :rotfl:

The problem is this...this is a discussion board. Yes, q&a is great, but this particular question/issue is not a simple 'yes or no' question. Sorry if that's annoying.

It is what it is and not much I can do about it.

Avoiding pointing out the code use, but you do realize booking more then one reservation just adds to the reason you decided to use one in the first place. Rental rates are based on supply and demand, booking multiple reservations affects demand this adds to the increases prices.

Good thought, I didn't think of that
