Who has their Christmas shopping done and what was their best score?

My best Christmas deal was the flights for my daughter and I to go to WDW for her to check in for her Disney College Program. I only thought I could get her there by herself but then found out.. I had enough points on United to fly us both one way there.. then for $160 a one way from Orlando to Portland for my return .. thus giving me enough mileage for her return flight on Alaska for free. Christmas in my house would be packing her up for her program.. the BEST GIFT ever.. and then to fly total of two round trips costing cash of $160 woohoo

My best score is for my younger son - he decided he wanted a Land's End jacket like my husband is getting for Christmas, too. I got a good deal on my husband's, but when I went back to order one for my son, the sale was off. They were listing for ~$249. :scared1: Waited a day or two, and then I got an email for 40% off any one item. Went back online to the jacket, it was now on sale for $99! Got 40% off that - $59. Also free shipping. Then I remembered my shopping your way rewards - checked that and I had $19.08 in rewards! So, in the end, with tax I paid $43.78 for the $249 jacket. I am pleased. :goodvibes

My best score so far was a thrift score. I got my foodie sister a Le Creuset Terrine that retails for $165.00 for $4.98. Now I just have to find her a good cookbook and a grocery store card to go with it!

Im nearly finished. Just need stocking stuffers. My best purchase was not a gift but a necessity. DS#3 needed a new carseat. I was able to get a Britax Marathon (orig. 199.99) for $97.50! :woohoo: on Cyber Monday. Safety & savings. Gotta love it!! ;)

I'm done. I found a lot of good deals this year...my dh is getting three really nice pairs of dress pants- in the style and cut that he likes and looks good in- all for $12 a pair (reg. over $60 a pair). They are navy blue, khaki and brown. He'll be quite excited!

We signed up and WON a TWO YEAR family membership to a local museum that MY GIRLS WILL LOVE!!! They've been begging to renew our membership for the past 4 months, since it ran out. We bought two raffle tickets to support the local animal shelter ($2 each) and we won the family membership-worth $150. To me, that's a huge score!!!

Ohhh I LOVE my Le Creuset pieces! Amazing score :thumbsup2

I'm done with my shopping but didn't have any great scores that are worth bragging about. However, my shopping is done, most of it is wrapped so that's worth bragging about to me!

I have gotten a TON of great deals this year.

For DD8:
I bought a lot of 4 American Girl Dolls (Kailey, Marisol, Lindsey, Kaya) off our local facebook yard sale group for $200 ($50/doll.) I really just wanted the Kailey doll since my DD's name is Kailey, but the lady was only selling the lot. I sold the other 3 dolls for a profit of $148 and kept Kailey for FREE!!!
I also was able to snag the Jill's steals and deals AG sale yesterday and got the bed for $50.
For DH:
He has asked for a hammock for a lot of years and I found one on sale on amazon at the end of the summer for less than $30.
I also got a steal on a pair of Timberland boots for him to wear to work. They were originally $180 on sale for $129.99. There was an "additional 25% off" sale on top of that PLUS a friends and family sale of 40% off. I paid $57. yay!
For my mother and my sis-in-law:
I participated in this thirty-one gifts turkey trot. We were each supposed to get $100 in sales and then the consultant basically combines them all together and splits up the hostess gifts/ prizes. I was able to get an organizing shoulder bag for my mom and a making memories thermal tote for my sis-in-law for FREE with my prizes.

Just finished up my kids last night. Best deal - probably the 2 huge Star Wars lego sets I scored at Walmart in September. Usually retail at $89 apiece, got each for $39 on clearance. But I did well for DD because I got those Kelloggs multi-pack cereals at Walmart that had a $5 off scholastic book order code...you can combine up to 3 codes per order, so I got her some of those craft books that come with the supplies by splitting my orders up and using $15 off each one. The books were on sale for $14.99 (usually $25), so I paid nothing out of pocket for them, not even shipping, as they will be delivered to the school.

The bulk of my shopping is done. I even have everything wrapped! I used to stay up all night on christmas eve and wrap gifts. But I am getting too old to do that now! I need my sleep. I have a few gifts ordered that didnt' arrive yet.

My best "deal" I guess is the Galaxy Tab 2 10" tablet (with case and memory card) that I got for FREE using my Marriott reward points. We aren't planning on taking a trip next year that requires a long hotel stay, since we are doing a cruise, so I figured I could use the points. This tablet was on sale Black Friday for $299 and usually more than that.

My other "deal" is that I used DH's Marriott reward points and bought my niece an Xbox 360 with Kinect for FREE! The bonus for this was that when it came, it was the special holiday Kinect bundle that came with 2 games (Disneyland and Kinect Adventures). The picture and description when we ordered was just the regular bundle and no games! This bundle was $199 on Black Friday and selling for $249 now.

Clearly, I need to get motivated. I've done my online shopping and my stocking stuff-which is huge because my side of the family fills stockings for everyone. I need to shop for DH's side, always a conundrum as his parents are old, needing nothing, and his brothers family is just hard because they sometimes get gifts and sometimes not so I have to have defensive gifts for them. If they weren't family, they'd be getting nothing. 1st things 1st, Dmil'S birthday is Monday and I have nada for her. Might just be one of those years where she gets a big bouquet of spring flowers.

I am almost done. I have to grab 2 or 3 more little things for my son's stocking and that's about it.

The best score was probably forza on BF for $15 for my son's xbox, it's the newer $60 one.

I am almost done. I also got lots of great deals this year. Ended up getting a nerf gun that retails for 29.99 for 6.00 because of a sale plus markdown for ripped box. My son wont even notice the ripped box. Found the same mini hair straightener I was going to buy at Walmart for 39.99 at a Big Lots store closing sale for 5.00. Bought a Hello Kitty makeup bag normally 15.00 for 6.75. Had the guy at the mall Dead Sea Mineral kiosk give me four nail kits normally anywhere from $89.00 to 129.00 each for 69.00 total for all four. My favorite deal this year was buying over a thousand football cards for my card collecting son for $10.00. It was somebodys whole collection in pristine condition at a garage sale.

Almost done shopping here....

Best deals....

Saved 91.50 on the new iPad (including store Gc)
Got the kinect Xbox bundle for 199
The American girl Today doll

I also saved some money on dream lights, got the elf on the shelf for half price and got a free lalaloopsey in a b2g1 special.... Overall the sales have caused me to spend a bit more ( wanted to do the Xbox and AG doll but didn't think it would happen). Very pleased with the sales. Starting shopping in Oct really helped.

Done! Best score, a retired Kirsten American Girl in EEUC from Craigslist for $80. I got Emily today for $60 (EEUC), Sonali I had to pony up a little extra and I scored Marie-Grace, Cecile and their canopy for $50 a pop (all new) the other day!

My son's Boy Scout group sponsored a needy boy and our tag said he wanted a Tony Hawk t-shirt. I went to Kohls with my $10 off coupon and arrived to see many Tony Hawk tops (long and short sleeved) were on clearance. I was able to get three tops (one long and two short sleeved shirts) got to the register and the total came to $10 EXACTLY!!! The original prices of all the tops was $60!!! I got $60 worth of tops for a needy child for FREE!!! This little boy wanted one shirt, but now he is getting three. My son was so happy for him!! Our Boy Scout pack was able to sponsor 38 children this year with clothing and toys, so proud of them all!

Shopping all done and all gifts wrapped. The ones that needed to be shipped are on their way.

I am all done, wrapped and ready! Our biggest score I guess was the 32 inch flat screen TV for 99.99. Dh braved black friday for that one!

Another big score was our big Christmas gift, one week in Orlando. Using our Super Grover passes we are going for a week for only the cost of hotel, gas and food!

Just need 1 more gift for DS6. I have a tie for best deals...got the Lego Mine set with the Walmart misprint and 2 AG dolls for $110 shipped. Both thanks to the DIS! :thumbsup2

I posted earlier that I was getting close to done. I think I was wrong:crazy2:
It seems I keep remembering more little things, and big things and it's driving me nuts!
I'm usually done by now and I have at least one full day of shopping left to do. I know what I need and have the lists ready. I'm just not looking forward to the stores. Hopefully there will be a few more deals yet!

Our local grocery store did have a pack of three $10 iTunes cards for $24 today. So I got two packs and ended up with $60 dollars in cards for $48 so that wasn't too bad :)

Best deal was getting a couple of Leappad games for DD for only $13!! I was able to get Tangled and Toy Story, found both of them in the clearance aisle at Kmart last month :cool1: I have no idea how they ended up there, but, was sooo happy to have found them ::yes:: Oh, I almost forgot I also found Minnie's bowtique deluxe playset for $6, it retails at $25. That was such a fun and awesome shopping day ... lol
