I just heard about it on another board.
Heard te food is less than superior, but interaction RULES and only takes 1 TS.
ANYONE WANT TO REVIEW IT FOR ME??

We had breakfast there in Dec. and loved it so much we are going back in May! We felt it was the best breakfast we had in WDW and we LOVED the "cold" buffet bar and the cheesy potatoes were awesome!:cool1: We also had breakfast at CRT in Dec and felt Norway won hands down. We didn't care for the food at CRT and we felt the princesses were friendlier and prettier in Norway. The meal includes a nice picture package with your family and Belle which makes a nice keepsake! It is a great deal for 1 ts credit!!

I think the food thing really just depends- DH and I went for dinner last fall and absolutely loved it. It was DH's favorite meal of the trip! The princesses were fabulous- they were really sweet talking to this "grown up princess." I had the traditional meat loaf meal (I won't even begin to try to spell it...) and I thought it was quite yummy. DH had the lamb stew and really liked it too... I give it two thumbs up- I know others have complained about the food, but quality and quantity wise it was great IMO, I think maybe some people just have different tastes as to what is "good." KWIM? They also give you an 8x10, and a number of other pictures with you and the greeter princess (it is most often Belle) that is included in the dinner, so that's fun. ANyways, give it a try and see for yourself! :thumbsup2

GREAT review....we will for SURE reserve this place.
Belle ranks up w my dd, but she does want to dine with **CINDY**
I would just LOVE to see MARY....=)
We will take our chances, though. =)

Is one mealtime better than the other?

TY!!!

We had lunch there last year, the food was OK. The buffet appetizers weren't so gret for little ones. Alot of cold fish. Not a pleaser for me either. The entrees were OK. For the kids they have hot dogs, chicken fingers, pretty normal things. The adult menu had lamb stew, and I had some kind of chicken. The interaction with the Princesses though, is so worth dealing with the food. And for one dining credit it is well worth it too. The Princesses spend a good amount of time at each table, and their are lots of them. My daughter's loved it.

How about breakfast at 1900 Park Fare for Mary Poppins, and or dinner at 1900 Park Fare with all the Cinderella characters. Both are 1 dining credit.

I chose breakfast because the menu for lunch adn dinner do nothing for me.

Look at the second link in my signature for our dinner review from December. We enjoyed it!

We ate here for Breakfast in Sept. The food was very good and the characters excellent. My daughter wants to go back in December.

We've been for dinner a few times. The food is okay. Check out the menus online. You may modify a dish somewhat (different side or no sauce and you may also order an adult portion of a kid's meal: one of our party ordered cheese ravioli). The cold items are basically a limited salad bar with a few Norwegian items added in. The dessert plate was yummy.:thumbsup2

The photo package you receive is very nice. Also, I believe if you have a party of 5 or more you get two packages?

The interaction with the princesses is great. They make the rounds frequently in the relatively small dining room. Cinderella is not guaranteed to be there, but it's a nice mix of other princesses and maybe Pocahontas or Alice. Dd was very happy to meet Snow White last time.

The dining room is attractive and castle-like inside. (Dd said it looked like the kind of castle Snow White would live in.) We also thought that the service was friendly and efficient.

BTW, the character interaction at 1900 is excellent, too.

Have a great trip :goodvibes

We went strictly for seeing Ariel. We figured the food was not important. It turned out to be my DH's favorite meal. He had the salmon and still can't stop talking about how good it was. I didn't care for the pasta dish, but the salad bar and dessert more then made up for it. We would go back again for sure. It is a great value for 1 TS credit.

We've had breakfast at Akershus twice - we love this meal! The food was delicious and the princess interaction was great. They were all very charming. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very castle-like too.

We went there for breakfast 2 years ago and my DH loved it so much that we are going again in March. Like everyone said the Princess interaction is priceless, they really got into great conversations with my DDs, we never felt rushed either. The food was awesome, we too loved the cold bar which had breakfast pasteries, fresh fruit, and breads. It is definately worth the $$ (or 1 TS credit).

Do they do the pictures with Belle at the breakfast too??? We really want to go for breakfast!

We have done two breakfasts and one dinner there so far. It is by far my favorite breakfast. The dinner was ok, but I am not big on trying new foods so it was difficult for me. For dinner Ariel was in the lobby in her wedding dress and was beautiful. This was the hilite of the evening. For breakfast both times we had Belle in her yellow dress.

For comparison my rankings for breakfast have this as #1.
Norway Princess Breakfast
1900 Park Fare
Chef Mickey
Breakfastasaurous (or however that beast is spelled)
Crystal Palace
Cape May

We plan to do this breakfast again as well as our daughter adores the princesses still and as everyone has said the interaction is fabulous here.

we went in October for breakfast. Belle was the character featured in the package. 2 DD and 1 DS loved it and ate well. The potatoes are to die for!! I say go for breakfast.

Thank you , everyone, for the GREAT reviews.
I think we will hav at least ONE meal, there. ::MinnieMo

I know you are now convinced, but wanted to share that we had lunch there and we thought the food was excellent! I had the traditional meatloaf, my husband the stew and my two teenagers had the salmon. My DD6 enjoyed her pizza but picked at everyone's plate as well. Next time we eat our way through Disney, we will make sure we go there again.

What are the picture sizes? I thought it was 4 @ 4x6 and 1 @ 6x8 -- but 6x8 is such an unusual size...
