Who has rented from Vacation Central Fl/Dave for Windsor Hills?

It was great! We stayed at a two bedroom condo and loved it. It was not owned by Dave but by another owner who rents through his site.

The unit was very clean with new carpeting. We loved the single floor layout compared to the two level townhome. It was a quick walk to the main pool.

Great to know! Thanks for posting. We rented a 3 bedroom condo from one of the other owners as well. We're staying this October.

We stayed in 204B November of 2013. We have stayed on-site before, and off-site at other properties. It was our first time renting from Dave. We loved it! Had no issues! Nice gated community. We would rent from them again, but we are the type of people who like to do something different each time, so maybe we will, maybe we won't.

I rented a 2 bedroom unit from one of his "associates" through his site over Spring Break 2013. The unit was worn and rough around the edges. There were items that were missing or broken, the carpet was dirty near the entrance and was covered with a throw rug which I tripped over every day. I called the management company because multiple lights were burned out and there was a problem with the shower in the 2nd bedroom's bath. They came very promptly and fixed what I asked them to fix ... but IMO those items should have been fixed as part of the cleaning after each guest. THe good news is that I only paid $420 for the week including tax and cleaning and the rental itself went smoothly.

I would rent from Dave but I don't think I would rent from one of his associates again.

We're in Orlando now - have been staying in one of the Vacation Central Florida townhouses since last Saturday. We rented one a few years ago and were not entirely thrilled with our stay. But it was one of those trips where everything that could go wrong, did - lousy weather (so we didn't get to enjoy the pool), car trouble (not good when you HAVE to drive to the parks), a back injury that made climbing the townhouse stairs a real pain, etc etc. So of course every little thing that wasn't perfect seemed magnified - finding a frying pan that hadn't been properly washed, discovering that the unit had a front-loading washer that was tiny and hard to get clothes in and out of, etc. So we decided to take advantage of a great deal for a sorta spur of the moment trip and give the townhouses another try. And we've been very satisfied. The beds and other furnishings are comfortable, there are plenty of bath towels and other linens, pillows are in pretty good shape, and everything has been very clean. I have noticed that some things don't look brand new anymore - the stove, for instance. But everything works, is clean and comfy and we're fine with the small signs of wear and tear that we've seen. Those are to be expected after awhile - I would never expect the owners to immediately purchase new furniture or appliances as soon as the current stuff starts to look a little worn. The only issues we found - and these were really small issues - the unit could use more clothes hangers and silverware. This was no big deal tho - we picked up some more hangers and a couple boxes of plastic forks and spoons when we made our grocery run. Problem solved with a couple of small purchases and the benefits of all the space and amenities of the townhouse more than make up for it. Not to mention how much money it saved us compared to staying onsite. We leave tomorrow and I'm going to miss my morning cup of coffee with the view of my own private pool and the big beautiful magnolia tree out back.

I wanted to bump and update this thread, since I just got home from our stay. Our townhouse was wonderful and not worn at all. The towels weren't brand new but they were soft and fluffy and absorbent. There were also plenty of them, we have a family of 5 and had enough bath and beach towels for all of us, as well as kitchen towels and rags. Everything was VERY clean and the town house smelled clean and fresh. Furniture was comfy and in good shape, beds were soft and cozy.

the only thing I wasn't thrilled about was that there is a sign asking us to wash and dry all the towels before we leave. That was not happening, I didn't bring enough detergent to do that plus with checkout at 10 AM I wasn't going to spend my entire morning washing and drying two loads of towels. We'll see if I get contacted about it.

I'll definitely rent from Dave again, this was a terrific experience.

Terrible experience. My kids got some sour cream on the comforter ( just small splatters there were 3 small dots around a couple millimetres in diameter ) could have been easily fixed in the washing machine. They charged me dry cleaning fee for it. Then dry cleaned all the comforters in the townhouse and charge me for it all. ( didn't even stand in the 3 Rd bedroom and I took the spread off mine as soon as I got there, so we didn't dirty it. I called the dry cleaning place and they told me that a all comforters were done. I refused to pay for the other ones. He then sent me a picture of the rug in the third bedroom ( the one we never entered) and said we stained the rug. He threatened to sue me if I didn't pay. Be very careful with this guy

By the way the sink leaked the whole time I was there
