I've stayed at Value, Moderate, Deluxe and found both positives and negatives for all.
I really didnt' think it would matter to me but after staying at the Poly and then going to the Pop I really missed the Poly. The main thing was the transportation and size of the room. Although Pop has the advantage of having its own bus it is the farthest bus stop at the MK. After walking all day at the park I didn't like walking a mile to the bus stop for the Pop (I know that's probably an exaggeration but you know what I mean). So mid trip we decided to switch to the Poly. I have to say the CM at the Pop desk was a bit offended when we went to check out.
Now the moderate did have a better pool and kiddie pool area (CBR I'm talking about) but I didn't like the size of that resort.
I like the zero entry pool feature of the deluxe resorts. Will I stay value again? of course, at least we'll be at Disney. It's just better for my children being so little still. When they can walk without a stroller then we'll consider other resorts.
As a matter of fact we have decided to do a split stay between the Asmo and GF instead of staying at the GF the whole time because we can afford a longer trip and do things like dinner shows and stuff that we wouldn't do otherwise. Not to mention I started getting buyers remorse about the price tag on a 7 night stay at the GF! We'll probaby try the Swan/Dolphin with the RN discount next year.
