We made our reservations for a week in October of 2006, and received the confirmation of our deposit today. (Since previously I had missed the AAA rate for part of our trip I wanted to take full advantage if possible and kept aware of when those were released.)

Since this trip is almost 15 months away, it is a little hard to be too excited, but I still am because the fall is my favorite time to camp and FW is my favorite place to camp, but this will be the first time for both.

Anyone else got those "way in advance" reservations?

We have a Jan. and a Feb. shorty set up already and DW has to decide on other dates. Never too early to be excited about upcoming stay. Really not way off but she will be working on adding them.

We are booked for the last week of April 2006, AAA rate!!

I just hope that we get everything else worked out. We have to finalize buying our popup, find or create a place to store it, buy a tow vehicle, etc. The reservations are the easy part.

And last night we saw some hybrids and have major trailer envy!

January and February.....
this will be our fourth winter visit since we bought the MV.......
WE have visited fw and all of the disney resorts for years.. and I can say...for the most
comfortable, RELAXING, and complete vacation, we like FW ....HANDS down...especially
if you stay a week or more....
we have been watching for a "winter settler' code for Jan/Feb...
has not come out so far and from bits and pieces of info from the CMS...it ain't gonna happen this year...but to check in fall for general codes.......
but I still keep monitoring, ya neva know, do ya?

AND THE BEAT GOES ON...........................SPINNER :sunny:

We're booked for end of June through July 5, 2006. Busy time, so I thought we'd get everything we wanted reserved early!!

It's never too early to be excited, is it? :Pinkbounc

We are booked for the first two weeks of August 2006. Too early to be excited :confused3 ....No way ! Just day dreaming and planning is a ton of fun for us. WooHoo !!! We can't wait ! :thewave:

I am doing the happy dance. We just booked for next July 10-26. Can't wait.

We are booked for 8 days in May 2006 at the AAA rate :sunny: . I booked back in January or February of this year. I got a lot more excited once we passed the one-year-away mark :flower:

I just changed our AAA rate to an AAA package. That way I could add the dining pkg and still keep the room discount.

I hope the dining package will work for us. Although it's nice to be able to cook, eating out is fun! I figure we will use 2 sit down dinners for the hoop dee doo. And maybe do a character breakfast and Boma for dinner. We also haven't tried Liberty Tree Tavern recently. It's too bad FW doesn't have more choices, though.

Hi this is my first time here and I would like to say that my familly and I are coming from Toronto to Fort Wilderness in Oct 9-19 2006. We got the CAA rate.
Last year we didnt know that we could get a better rate with CAA .We will be in the preffered loop this time, we requested loop 100 or 200.

We are traveling next Nov and want to book a cabin with the AAA discount. How far in advance can I do that? The website only has dates up to Aril 2006.

Can I ask how much the dining package added to the price? My AAA office knows next to nothing about WDW and I like to get some basic info before I even attempt to book with them.

The dining package is 37.99 per day for adults and 10.99 for kids.

One way to get a price beforehand is to use disneyworld.com. You can also call CRO(disney) for a quote.
For example, my stay is 8 nights regular season, preferred site:
Rack rate campsite with tax: 642.44
AAA discounted rate with tax: 544.00
$98.44 difference

package for 2 adults, 1 child: $2163.42
AAA package: $2067
$96 difference

the discount (only on the room) stays about the same, so I figured they did it right!

I wasn't sure if my AAA agent was going to know anything, turns out she was OK! Same cancellation policies as Disney. No booking fees either.

We are booked for Dec of 06 but we are at OKW then on the cruise and then SSR no camping for us this time and we just got a new trailer to LOL.

We are heading home for 2 weeks at the end of Jan/start of Feb 06. We are mighty excited, and had this trip planned from the minute we arrived in the driveway after the trip Jan/05! My kids talk about it all the time!
