ROFR Thread April to June 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

It's manually updated by @pangyal and I think I read somewhere that she's currently on vacation.
Ok! I didn’t mean to rush or anything, im just two weeks out from contract signed and sent and curious how timing has been lining up the last month or so with ROFR. Probably still that 21-30 days but wasn’t sure if anything had been happening quicker lately.

Fixed. And as my DW said, this actually reflects what the listing said. User input error :confused3

Zipears Fan---$112-$27901-220-OKW(E)-Aug-0/24, 440/25, 220/26- sent 6/10 Seller pays 2024 MF
I haven't seen anyone us tell you what you already suspect, but your contract is NOT a good deal, you are way over paying and OKW dues are high, so unless you need OKW because you want to book the Grand Villa, you can save $ or get more use out of SSR & AKL in. Sent 6/10, so CANCEL asap. This contract AT MOST is $92 so you are flushing $4K...

aaaaa---$78.125-$29563-320-AUL-Aug-296/24, 320/25, 320/26- sent 6/12

Is this a good deal?
My plan is to transfer all 296 banked 2024 points and part of the 2025 points as soon as they are available in my account to reduce the purchase price. What is the best way to transfer points and the fair value?
This is my second attempt. I tried to buy a VGC contract at $215 per point last April, but the Mouse snatched it. If the Mouse takes this one too, I won’t submit any more contracts. :(

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think those 296 banked 2024 points may expire before you ever get to use them. With an August Use Year, they expire July 31, 2025.

Even with ROFR currently averaging 23 days, you’re looking at:

-1 extra week for closing and deed recording after ROFR.

-18 days (recent average) for Disney to load the contract into your account.

That puts you around mid-to-late August before you'd have access — likely after the 2024 points expire.

Transferring isn’t a workaround either, since you can’t transfer points until they’re in your account, which won’t happen until after closing.

Thanks for pointing that out — and I’m sorry for the confusion in my original message. The 296 points from 2024 were actually already banked into 2025, so they won’t expire until July 31, 2026.

To clarify, the contract includes a total of 616 points for the 2025 Use Year — 320 regular 2025 points and 296 banked points from 2024. The seller also had around 320 points available in 2024. Hopefully, they were able to use those before the August deadline or before the transfer process begins.

Thanks again for your help throughout this!

---$112-$27901-220-OKW(E)-Aug-0/24, 440/25, 220/26- sent 6/10 Seller pays 2024 MF

Let’s take an example where they rent banked pts, there is your $4k back

It would look like this and you would have gave it a thumbs up?

---$94-$23941-220-OKW(E)-Aug-0/24, 220/25, 220/26- sent 6/10

Depending on circumstances, it could still be a good deal, it’s certainly not the worst I’ve seen

This looks good to me. I’m very happy to hear the points are already banked forward. The chances of this getting ROFRed by Disney is slim to none.

Tbh $94 is still much too high. Seller paying MF is a nice break.

OKW (e) has virtually no chance of getting ROFRed unless it down in the 70’s imo. Disney goal is to buy back non extended contracts to get them extended. (Avoiding ROFR was op reason behind overpaying)

This could be one of the worst deals I have seen here.

It's okay if you don't get the very best deal, or pay a little more money than you absolutely have to, if it means getting the contract you want with a minimum of fuss.

I'm also not sure why anyone feels the need to Reply Guy the data point someone else is voluntarily sharing, but clearly some do. It's a good way to discourage folks form sharing, and it is yet another reason why this thread is not representative of the market.

I do agree somewhat. I didn’t say anything originally when I saw it but decided to reply after it was brought up. If the OP had said this what I paid because thats what I wanted to pay that’s fine, but saying to avoid ROFR isn’t something that’s a good reason to overpay by that much.

With that said when I was new to this if I had posted and was still within my cancel period I would be grateful to know if I was overpaying without realizing it. The caveat to that is I refuse to overpay and always look for the best deal.

Side note I used the word caveat and I’m slightly nervous using it while replying to Brain because I’m not 100% sure I used it right 🫣

Yes. Looks to be a good deal. Well done.

I hate OKW but is the deal really that abysmal? If it were not extended then Id say yeah thats bad and compared to the direct sale it's not great either but OKW extended is going for 80s to 90s or so and then the extra points would bring the price closer between 100 and 110. I think it's an overpay but not like egregiously compared to some of the stripped contracts I see come through here.
