Who has been to VB at Thanksgiving, Christmas or NYE??

Can you tell me how busy it was?

Were you still able to enjoy yourself?

A lot of the CM's mentioned the other day that it's packed on Thanksgiving.

I'm not sure I want to use the points if we have to fight for a chair around the pool and wait in long lines for the slide, etc.

I'd love to hear your past experiences.

We have been to VB the last two years at Thanksgiving. It is busy, but not so busy to discourage us from booking again this year. We enjoy the buffet and they offer great leftover meals (just ask for a turkey sandwich at night while on the porch of the Green Cabin Room). The pool is not a big issue for our family, including our 12 year old son. But, when we wanted to use the pool, we were able to find seats/loungers, even though they may be remote from the pool. The Green Cabin room is usually a nice quiet retreat. We also try to stay during the week, thus we use less points. This year though, we are staying into the weekend because the school district changed the school calendar so much because our area kids missed so much school due to the hurricanes.

I say go for Thanksgiving. Maybe you will see us there!
