Who has an above ground pool?

When we bought our home a few years ago, it came with a hot tub and an above ground pool, both of which we recently removed. We used the pool for several years, and have enjoyed watching our dogs swim in it. It was a 24 foot round with steel walls that began to rust and had we not taken it down, I don't know how much longer it would have held up.

So anyway, we purchased one of those Radiant Pools. Anyone ever heard of them? I have been doing research for months and have become somewhat of an expert on above ground pools. The radiant pool walls are aluminum and come in sections. I guess they are somewhat insulated and will withstand the bad weather we get here in the NorthEast. We needed something with aluminum walls, as half of our pool will be built into a slop in our yard. ( I believe that is why the old steel pool started to rust)

Although structurally the radiant pool is the best you can buy (IMO), it definitely is not the prettiest. Because it is made to be an in the ground/ half above/ half in structure, there is no detail to make the pool pleasing to the eye. We have the option to put coping around it, but I am planning on attaching a pool fence and we can't attach it if the coping is put down. We are building a composit deck half way around.

Okay, I will now get to the point of the thread. CAN ANYONE PLEASE SHOW ME PICTURES OF THEIR ABOVE GROUND POOL AND WHAT YOU DID TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE.
The pool hasn't been installed yet, and my husband says I am worrying to much, but we all know that above ground pools are not that pretty to begin with and we are spending quite a bit of money on all the decking and pool and understandably I just want it to look nice.

Can anyone share their pictures/ ideas.

Thanks

Have you researched the composit decking? We were going to use that on our deck, but after I was checking into it, I found there is a lawsuit ongoing because of black mold. It seems it is not removable permanately. Just wanted to mention this if you haven't seen it. We put an above ground pool in, in the ground, but we haven't finished our decking yet.

We have the 24 ft pool. but we take it down each fall. The same area becomes our firepit area in the fall.

AShandabby'smom,
Yes, I did see the lawsuit going on. I believe that was with Veranda Decking which can be purchased at home depot, not the kind we already purchased. I've done my research on that too!:)

What kind of pool do you have that can be half in the ground? I know there are several that can do that, but only the ones that are aluminum are recomended for in the ground. Esther Williams was another brand we were looking at, but our dealer recomended the radiant. I hope he was right.
Also, I would have liked those Wilkes pools, but I had a hard time getting in touch with anyone at that dealership.

I will try to post some pictures later, but the truth is - all above ground pools look like giant soup bowls in your yard. The trick is to do the deck and surrounding area well enough that you kinda forget there is a giant metal wall in your yard - distraction distraction distraction!

We actually install pools like that ( We do the Aquasport, they have been in business over 50 years. ALl of their pools are very good quality. Very different from the imports. But that is another story !). If you want i have tons of pics I could email to you, to give you ideas. Just pm me you address.

Yes, i would love to see the pictures. I PMed you my e-mail.

Anyone else who has pictures, I'd love to see them too.
