Who has actually used colored staples?

So now that my SS has sent colored staples, and I've heard so much about them, does anyone have some cool ideas to use them on layouts?

I'm gonna give them a whirl...maybe I'll paint some orange and use them in a Halloween lo.

thanks for the links with layouts using staples. I was also wondering how staples work on a sb page. I don't think I care for them.

well, I bought them anyway and thought I probably wouldn't use them but I'm doing a 'demo' page (a friend's friend runs a party planning service and wants to offer pre-made pages to clients) for someone and thought I might try them on there.

Ok, so I thought you would just staple them onto your layout, but how do you get them into the middle of a page if your stapler isn't large enough?

I guess you'd be limited to using them on other pieces that you would then adhere with an adhesive? At least that's what I'm thinking.

I had the same problem so I stapled my journaling blocks then used glue to actually attach them to the page. I do like how they came out and someone who saw the page even commented on them.

Staples? Hmmmmm.....don't think I like the look. It looks........how shall we say......stapled? LOL Reminds me of the office & work.

I thought they would be great on a halloween page...especially if there's a frankenstein...in fact, I may try my hand at paper piecing to make a frank.

are they metal staples? I'm not fanatical about acid-free issues, but there's something about staples on my photos that really worries me.

I don't use them on photos, just the cardstock.

I usually don't let anything that isn't acid free touch my pics.
