Just curious to see if the rates really are adjusted automatically w/BRP. I am so on the fence because we currently have ressies at SOG for 8 people in 2 rooms @ $100/night, my kids really want to go back to POP which would be $90/night. Since we are packed in like sardines I would really prefer 3 rooms. My hopes are that we would be able to get 3 rooms @ POP for the price of 2 @ SOG. Our travel dates are early April, so I only have about 30 days to decide. What would you do...keep the current ressies @ SOG or change to POP and hope for a lower rate? (I know SOG is much nicer but my kids really love the look/layout of POP and the food court would be much more convenient for us.)

If you are going to be disappointed if the lower rate doesn't come through, don't do it. If you are willing to spend the current amount you can book at, then do it. I just don't believe in booking something hoping for additional discounts as I think you set yourself up for disappoint. That's just me, though. You have to do what you are comfortable with.

Well, I know my kids would prefer POP, but the adults in our party would probably choose SOG...that's why I'm torn about the whole thing! DH and I would be fine with either location. Plus, after crunching the numbers I discovered the two rooms @ SOG would actually cost a total of $238/night as we have to pay $15 for an extra adult in each room and $10 each day to park 2 cars. Three rooms @ POP would be $267/night as we wouldn't have the extra charges. I'm thinking it's worth the extra $29 night for the extra bathroom and the convenience of the food court (where we get a 20% w/DDE card). So I guess I've answered my own questions...it's amazing what can happen when you fire up the 'ol grey matter !!!

Hi,

When we originaly booked our AKL room for our upcoming trip through the BRP it came to $231 and change a night including taxes. They decided to offer a lower rate at some point in my rate was automaticaly lowered to $210 a night inc taxes and my credit card was credited the differance. I received an email telling me of the adjustment.

We had/have two BRP reservations for this winter. The trip already taken didn't have an adjustment to the original BRP, but the upcoming trip for 1/31-2/7 did have an automatic decline in room rates. Both BRP are for the WL. For the upcoming trip the standard room rate went from about $150 per night to $120 per night (tax included).
