Who has a man cave?

We have a man cave (with some family-friendly features)....its the rec room in our finished basement. I bought DH a 55" Samsung Smart TV for Christmas, so we moved the small  50" one up to our living room.

The guys have the PS4 down there, the DVD player, etc. DH has surround sound speakers installed.

There's a fireplace that spans the whole end wall, and a bar with stools on the opposite end of the room. There's a small fridge in the bar that keeps a selection of beverages cold and ready. There's a reclining sofa and love seat so my guys can put their feet up when they watch their basketball and hockey games, and there's a glider rocker and foot stool for moi.

We've got big book shelves that match the coffee and end tables which gives a place for not only books and photo albums, but also provides storage for our DVDs and Blue Rays.

The room is full of framed photos...on the walls, on the mantle, on the end tables.....mostly favourite moments from our trips. Its just a comfy place to hang out. I love that its on a completely separate floor from our formal living room.

Our current home has a loft space (but I would call it a bedroom without a door).
My husband uses that. We left our movie screen to convey with our last home when it sold. So right now he just projects into the wall. He ordered one of those mega giant bean bag things. (It is filled with foam.)

But this is only a sort of man cave. His last one had the walls painted dark to facilitate viewing.

My computer is also in there and soon, one of my children's school desks will soon be in there.

Once upon a time when we buy our next home (2-3 years away), a space he can use as his movie room will be on our list as a requirement. I would probably like a single story home with a space over the garage and it can go there. :)

Here are pics of my man cave. I am into all things WWII, Soccer and anything German related.

We have a man cave. Its our basement. Almost the size of the top floor of our home, 1900 sq ft. He has a big *** TV down there, couches, pool table, stand up video games, like 4 I think. Now he has been working on this and doing this for at least 9 years. He does have it looking good and manly. Lots of deer heads and such.

Still have a big room not finished yet for a bathroom and lots of storage space as well. He also put a tornado shelter down there, have yet to have to really get in it yet. We have a wood stove that we use to help heat it and the upper floor to. He also has a small section with a big weight set too, but dosen't use it.:rolleyes2

He can build just about anything, so he has made it work well! He built a really cool aquarium that looks as if it could just fall and bust into the floor at any point. I used to worry about it some, but now I figure if it ever does it just does! Used a lot for UFC fight nights with buddies. I think there is 3 this month!:scared::scared: I will try to post some pics later of it. We use it for birthday parties, big Christmas dinner each year.

And we also have our TV in our living room over our fire place, and it is great. Perfect place for it.:thumbsup2 Don't know why all the negatives about TVs being elevated? Try to post some pics later.
