I love it, but I haven't had a lot of time to sit and read on it. I'm reading a book for book club and some stuff about Italy and I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally need to get my stuff together for Japan.

The free downloads- a review from me on the book The Idiot Girl and the Flaming Tantrum of Death.
I truly laughed out loud and I am usually not one who does- it is a collection of short stories about the author's life.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE - oh did I say that I LOVE my Kindle!!!
I've never read so much in my life. I have this diseases and want to read read read now. I take it everywhere with me and when I have to wait for anything - I pull it out and read. I just can't say enough about it. I also love previewing books. I just click the try-it when I'm thinking about a book. This also reminds me about the books I was interested in. Less likely to forget books this way.

That has got to be my favorite feature. I have tried so many new authors as a result of the "Try it". I also use it to help me remember books that caught my interest while browsing.
It's days like today that make me love my Kindle just even more.
I had to take DD to the doctor for a test that lasted several hours. This happened quite suddenly and I didn't have time to gather "entertainment materials" (you mom's know what I'm talking about!).
Well, I pulled out my Kindle and we read blogs and magazines and even tried to find a decent book to teach us to speak French "while we waited"
The Kindle is such a wonderful device. I've had mine for over a year now and I do find myself sometime neglecting it, but when I go through my "Kindle phase" ... I really make good use of it.
A few weeks ago I was in a meeting and someone asked if there were any good books for a specific topic we were discussing. One quick look at my Kindle answered our question! And voila, there it was!
Now, I can't exactly share the book with group (except they did suggest they all took turns with my Kindle ... lol, had to nix that idea in the bud!) ...
Thanks Mary Jo! How long ago did you order yours? I'm really excited to get one but I just can't stand the idea of ordering one and then waiting that long.....
