I got may flu shot in early October as soon it was available. I am in the high risk group. I have ashtma and bronthis the flu makes feel worse if I get it.

I think I got mine mid to late October... it was available to us at work for $5 so I went ahead and got it.

My children and I got it in October, and for the same reasons as you, both children high risk and I work at a school. I call for my appointments in September FAITHFULLY!

I got mine October 27 at the health department for $7. I remember the date because DH and I went together on our anniversary. (How romantic.) Then later I found out I could have gotten it for free at work. (I am a health care worker.)

I also got mine in October. I'm double high risk, asthma and I'm pregnant (due in March). I, unfortunately, procrastinated on my kids' and they both have it right now. I could kick myself! Last year they got their's in October too. Live and learn I guess!

Got mine Sep 22nd. I am high risk and was just recovering from my 3rd URI of the year. It's only my 2nd annual vaccine but don't think I'll be skipping it any time soon.

We all 4 got ours in Oct. We do every year in Oct. DS gets allergy shots(I used to) and the allergist offers it to us all.

Got mine in the beginning of Nov. I get bronchitis which goes into asthma also. I have just been so sick this past year with this, I didn't want to get it as bad, or again if possible. Last spring I was sick for 4 months with a cold, to bronchitis, to asthma and once this fall already, so I was ready to get the flu shot when it was offered. Never had one before, so I will see what happens.

I got mine in mid-October. I've gotten it every year for the last 7 or 8 years - with diabetes, my blood sugar goes sky high when I get sick, so try everything I can to avoid it.

DH and I got ours at the beginning of Oct as well. I think I've had a cough and or cold ever since. Just can't seem to kick it.

Interesting comment, Greenberet. Why do you think that?

LOL, GB. I got my shot about 6 weeks ago. I used to usually get the flu or similar each year, usually in Dec/Jan. Have had the flu shot each of the past four years, no flu. They do work and are either free or very inexpensive for most.

The kids and I got ours last Friday. I had an appt last Friday with my Dr to get one, and yesterday for the kids. When I got to my Dr, he had run out. So the kids and I went to a walk-in treatment center and got them; insurance covered it. When I called to cancel the appt for the kids at their pediatrician, they said they were running out.

We got them October 1 - the day they came out. Why take chances?

We got ours first weekend they were available. I travel a lot on planes, and I think it's important to have the shot, but now I feel guilty because they are out of the medicine and I'm basically a healthy individual. Now folks who really need the protection won't be able to get the vaccine.

I got mine in mid October so I'd be sure to be well immunized for my WDW trip at the end of November. All 4 in my family got the flu shot this year for the 1st time. Looks like it was a good year to do that. My DS & I are both high risk so I wanted my DH and other DS to get it so I wouldn't worry(so much)about them bringing it home.
