I think tomorrow is our 1st opportunity to book and I'm leaving it up to DU for the first day. After that I'll start calling if we don't get it. We'll be there for 7 days so we have lots of opportunities. Just wondering how busy they are right now. Did anyone get or not get CRT this morning when they called? What about the last few days?
Thanks!!

Edited to add:
See below. We got it!

I had no problem getting my ps for Cindy's. This is the first time ever I was able to get through. I've tried for the past couple of trips and been shut out but this time I got in by 7:02 with no problem. I hope you are successful as well!

Using the tips on the FAQ for Cindy's were were successful in obtainings PS's for 8/26 by calling at 6:58am and just hitting redial until the calls were answered. DH was away on business and we both got through and got PS's for the same time! I then realized that 8/26 was not the best day for us, with EE at MGM and all so I crossed my fingers and tried again the next morning for 8/27 and got through AGAIN! I did cancel the two PS's for 8/26 (each for 4) so they may still be there. I cancelled over the weekend.
I am so grateful for the advice on this site to get Cindy's PS. Youngest DS (almost 4) is terrified of all characters except "face" characters. THis gives him time to hang out with his girlfriend, Belle.

Ok, I missed something.. is it 60 days out that you can call?

Also, if I have GF Cons. Will they be able to do this for me, or should I secure it myself just in case? Thanks!

It's 60 days.

I'm confused. When I check my ressie at DU, it says your vacation begins in 59 days. We want CRT on day 2. So that means today is the 60 day mark.
But if I go to PS calc and type in the date we want Cindy's (9/8/03), then it says to call on 7/10. Which is it?!
Thanks

Go with the PS Calculator. It's sixty days back from the day before or something. Anyway, it's like counting backwards 61 days. So definitely go with the PS Calculator! That's tomorrow you call. Good luck...although, last year in September we were able to get CRT with little problem. But still be persistent! ;)

I thought when looking at my calendar that PSCalc must be right, but wasn't sure. So it's tomorrow that we book, not today.
Thanks.
Anyone get Cindy's this morning?

The PS calculator works every time. Definitely go with that. If you use the tips on the FAQ Cindy's thread and you have more than one phone dialing (i.e. home and cell) you should get in. I'm sorry if I confused folks with posting about August 26 and 27 yesterday. I really did call on the appropriate day (June 27, then 28) but did cancel the August 26 PS when I realized it wasn't the day I wanted.
I REALLY wish they would have something similar catering toward boys (a Heroes breakfast?). My DS 8 is less than pleased that he has to "suffer through" another Princess breakfast.

Also, if I have GF Cons. Will they be able to do this for me, or should I secure it myself just in case?
In response to this, the answer is an emphatic NO. Concierge can do nothing about Cindy's unless there is a last minute cancellation. All tables are booked by Disney DIning by 7:10am 60 days out, I've been told many times. It's probably the only ressie concierge CAN'T get you.

AKL Concierge did call for us 60 days out and secured a PS for us. However, I was able to get an earlier PS time, which I prefer, so I had the CM from Concierge cancel the one he made...

Also, I was told that cancellations are offered to the concierge staff first...so it may be worth it to let them know.

Poly Concierge got ours Cindy PS 60 days out. I don't know if they have pull, but it beat me calling.

We got our CRT's through DU for the exact day we wanted. Also got our IllumiNations Cruise for our second choice day. I would trust them. I also have noticed that they are a day 'ahead' in their countdown. It hasn't seemed to be as huge a problem getting CRT as in the past. Maybe the Princess breakfast has taken some of the heat!!!

Well, here is my update and what I've learned. DU is great and I really like my agent so far. We've used DU before and I think their system works very well. BUT, it helps if you understand the system before, and in this case I didn't.
Understand that we have 2 boys, so I wasn't dying for Cindy's PS, but it would've been nice since their Mom promised to "eat in the castle" and we like the princesses.
So I booked my FTP with DU in May I think for Sept 7-14. It took a few days to get the questionnaire and an initial itinerary put together. When our agent wrote to me about PS at Cindy's, she was very clear about booking at 60 days, the limited # of tables, the credit card, etc. After debating for a few weeks over our PS requirements, I submitted my CC info at their site, well before the 60 day mark, but not early-on.
So yesterday morning came and no word from DU. After a few emails back and forth I hear "I am waiting to hear from our Cindy's team" and then "you didn't get in, but you are now AT THE TOP OF OUR LIST for your alternate date." Very polite, apologetic, professional, and all of that. So from this and other comments made by the agent early on I have a new understanding. Maybe it's totally off base. But what I gather is that DU has a team of a certain number of agents. When you submit your CC info you are put in a queue for your particular day. When the day comes they (the team, your agent does not do this booking) start at the top of the queue and work down. It seems that things were sold out by the time they got to my name.
BOTTOM LINE _ If you want Cindy's through DU _ Send them the credit card authorization for Cindy's and a preferred PS time as soon as you book your room!!
I'm not griping about DU, just want people who have little princesses to be armed with as much info as possible.

As for me, we are going for our alternate dates. In the meantime, I am booking lunch PS at the castle just in case (and it'll be cheaper than breakfast).

DO IT - 24 hrs before you want a PS :)
Cindy's takes a $25 deposit for each PS.
The persom who makes the PS, if cancelling to get their
deposit back, must do so 24 hours before their PS date.

We were at WDW May - Memorial Day week. Nice large crowds.
We called on a Wed night around 7 pm and was able to
get a CINDY PS for 8 am THE NEXT MORNING, Thursday

Don't fret - there will most likely be a CINDY PS you can snag
one morning you are there. Some will cancel most likely
and want there $25 back.

Be ready with your credit card to snag the PS when you get it.

My DH actually came up with the idea to call the night before.
Go figure, the guy who hated WDW 3 years ago - and
now loves it

I called at my 60 day mark.
Got right in at 7:01 am. Got a CM immediately.
No probs. :)

Also, if I have GF Cons. Will they be able to do this for me, or should I secure it myself just in case?

I have had a completely different experience with this than RANDBMOM

I've had two seperate dealings with GF concierge and in both cases I was informed that tables are set aside for concierge reservations and can be booked as close to 7 days out. They had no problems with my request even though they both coincided with a very busy time of year. Unless the policy has changed, I would place a call to your concierge planner and check with them.

WE GOT IT!!!! DU got us a perfect PS this morning for 10:20 on a Thurs. We'll get to do EE and everything! Can't wait.

We're in!!!! 8:50 so we get early entry. I can't wait to get a picture of the castle without 10,000 other people in my picture. Thanks everyone for the hints and tactics I've learned on these boards and USED to get CIndy's!
