Im having my wedding at disneyland, and am still filling out my planning packet. I want to try and schedule my planning session at 1 year out from my wedding. My question is who did you take to your planning session? was it just your fiance and you? or did you take a parent, etc.

Im asking because my MOH really wants to be there to help with any wedding planning she can. We live pretty far apart, and dont get to see each other much, so she wants to help when she has the opportunity. Is this an appropriate time for her to come along, or would it be to wierd or hard.

thanks for letting me know!

When we had our planning sessions at DLR we brought a different person to each one. It was always DH and I, at the first session it also included my MOH, and at the floral/entertainment session it was my SIL who was our best man. At the meal tasting only DH and I were allowed. HTH.

thanks! it helps greatly! i just didnt want to bring her if it was just supposed to be my and DF. :thumbsup2

I'm bringing myself, my Df, my mother, my mother in law, and my sister all for the planning session. We are making a mini vacation of it. HTH

In Disney WORLD at least, it's you&your fiance, plus you can invite two other people. For us, we invited my parents, since they are paying for our wedding. Also, I don't know if you can schedule your P.S. for one year out. With Disney WORLD, the soonest you can is 6months before for prices to be confirmed. So if you did it a yr. out, you could talk about a lot of stuff w/o knowing for sure how much all of it would cost. If DF&I were paying for our wedding, and my M.o.H. could've come, I would've loved for her to have. Mine is far away too, so I would feel the same way. :) HTH!

Also keep in mind that not a lot happens in the planning session. We had ours at Disneyland and all that happened was pretty much we sat there and went through the planning packet we had filled out page by page. It's a great time to get questions answered, but overall it wasn't all that exciting, there was a thread a while back where people were talking about how the Disneyland planning session was kind of a letdown, not that I knew what I was expecting.

Much more fun than the planning session was the food tasting, which I don't think would have been offered if I hadn't asked for it, so be sure to ask!
