Every spring I see new fawns, and every winter. when my kids get a deer from my mnt. I hope its not one of them, but I know chances are it is.. So sad., but they feed my Grandkids so I guess I should just thank the lord for their gift of fresh meat on the table.

Its snowing here today, but we shouldnt get much more then an inch, so no biggie.

Hope everyone is staying warm.
Right now Im wishing I was in Hawaii with brenda! No snow there!

Got to get my Christmas decorations down from my attic today.

We had snow on the weekend. Just enough to cover the grass and it is all pretty much gone now.

I know just how you feel Betsy. It would bother me a lot of know that people were out shooting the deer that I had enjoyed watching grow I know that people eat them but I just don't want to be a witness to it.

How's the weather where you are?

We are entering our 3rd day of nice sunshine

It's been great.

Tomorrow and Sunday we might be in the rain but I've been enjoying the sunshine while I can.

Hi Robin, ( I have to say I miss these smilies on FB)

Its actually been very nice lately..around the 40s during the day and freezing at night..mostly sunny. Today is a mix and in the 30s, and I think we are suppose to get rain/snow? in the next few days. Nothing substantial tho.

Mike and I are off to shop for presents this afternoon....The Birthday kind...Kateri just turned 8 yesterday, with a party on Sunday, and Doug's youngest, Emily is turning 5 on the 18th...Then we will haveMike's eldest, Mikey's ( he hates being called that :-/ ) 14th birthday on the 1st of Jan. Its Christmas year round in this house......LOL

Oh my goodness Betsy. I can't believe how old they are all getting while we are getting so much younger

The morning started out not too bad here today but it has steadily gotten worse. The wind is a blowing and it is raining and maybe turning to snow overnight. I don't think it will stay very long if it does snow though.

We've all got a busy couple of weeks coming up. I hope you have fun with all of your preparations.

Tomorrow night we go out for dinner with friends, Saturday we drive to Detroit to pick up Rick's brother from the airport, Sunday we are having Christmas dinner for my extended family, Christmas Day is dinner for me, Rick, my mom, his parents and his brother, Boxing Day (day after Christmas) is dinner for Rick's extended family, Steph invited me to go out for lunch on Sunday (Dec 30), although I haven't heard from her again about it and THEN on New Years Day we are having our actual Christmas Day since everyone has to work at Christmas.

Well I dont know about getting younger..(not the way I've been feeling lately)but they are all growing up way too fast!

We were suppose to meet Jules for dinner out last night, but I got sick and we had to cancel. I'm still not feeling so great today, and I just got a call that my mom has a fever.. They are going to try to get her a Dr. appt. today and call me to let me know whats happening..I pray its just a bug.

Our weather it seems is the same as yours...we had a lot of wind and snow last night, but it turned to rain this morning and boy did it rain...and rain...then turned to snow and it has been snowing on and off all morning...but the ground is so wet it doesnt show..also the temp is in the upper 30s- lower 40s..

Well I hope your weather gets better, and you have a good day...

Maybe I want to bring my trip to WDW closer quicker

It's my daughter's birthday today and we are having some people over tonight for Pizza and to hang out. The Christmas stuff just makes everything a bit more crowded and the rooms seem messy to me!

Both my mom and I are feeling better. It took awhile for me..I was still not up to par, until the 26th, but was feeling OK on Christmas day..Thank god Mike was a big help with all the cooking.

It has been very hard to get into the spirit this year...and I dont have a trip to want to hurry to.
I have also had more of a hard time excepting the snowy weather this year..I just dont want to have to deal with it...

I am so bummed to be missing all the new stuff at the world..but with all the saving we are doing for our USVI trip in July..I'm sure we wont be able to swing a trip to WDW...

Mike has the next 5 days off from work. No plans, except going to Cortese for NYE, and maybe checking out a movie at AMC...other then that just hanging out...On sunday the kids will be here, and we will go see my mom.
BIG excitement in my house!...lol

I'm glad to hear that you are both better Betsy.

I'm not really enjoying the snow either but it is pretty when you don't have to go anywhere. We have more snow now already than we had all of last winter Yesterday we woke up to ice fog, that was really beautiful.

Tomorrow I'm going to go to lunch with Steph, her mom and her sister. She invited me to lunch which is out of character but I thought when your daughter-in-law issues an invitation it's probably a nice idea to accept it. She is at her mom's house until after New Years. Her mom lives in the same city as Liz, so an hour away.

No plans at all for New Years Eve here. Enjoy your plans and your movie.

Wish I was meeting you there...I could really use a bit of time away...

Not great times here lately... Moms new move is causing problems..and nothing is gonna be easy about it...Lawyers, paperwork, not to mention she is not doing well ...very combative. Not like her at all...
Not much I can do about it either... No help from the rest of my family...
Oh well sorry to be a debbie downer...
On a happy note..We have sunshine and its in the 40s here....

I wish you were coming too. Wouldn't it be grand to take a WDW trip with all of the girls? We'd have so much fun together.

I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble with your mom and are not getting any help. If you can't vent to us, then who can you complain to? I'm afraid it would be/will be just like that for me too.

Does she maybe need her meds tweaked a bit? That seems to happen to people like your mom and my dad. They go along just fine for a bit and then they get grumpy and argumentative and will fight anybody that gets in their way. Once they adjust the meds, it usually makes my dad settle down again.

We had a fairly nice day here too. The snow is slowly melting and the temps are supposed to get nicer for the weekend
