Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

I wish you were coming too. Wouldn't it be grand to take a WDW trip with all of the girls? We'd have so much fun together. :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:goodvibesYes we would!
I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble with your mom and are not getting any help. If you can't vent to us, then who can you complain to? I'm afraid it would be/will be just like that for me too.
Thanks:hug:

Does she maybe need her meds tweaked a bit? That seems to happen to people like your mom and my dad. They go along just fine for a bit and then they get grumpy and argumentative and will fight anybody that gets in their way. Once they adjust the meds, it usually makes my dad settle down again.

We had a fairly nice day here too. The snow is slowly melting and the temps are supposed to get nicer for the weekend :cool1:

Nope ..No meds to tweak..Its her dementia getting worse Im afraid.. Other then her mind, shes healthy...except she 89...
It is suppose to be nice the next couple of days here too.. :thumbsup2
and tomorrow I get to ride again..its been since before christmas since Ive ridden..Looking forward to it.

Off to get things together for my meeting...:teleport:

Enjoy the good weatherpixiedust:

They don't have her on any meds for her dementia? I'm kind of surprised about that.

I hope you are having a good ride today. We've got windy and rainy conditions today but it is fairly warm, 45 right now. So a lot of our snow has melted away

A bunch of years ago, she was on something, but the side effects were so bad and she didn't show improvement. So they discontinued it.

Our snow is melting too... :thumbsup2
Nice and warm today...43 degrees already..::yes::

Going shopping today...:drive:

Enjoy your daypixiedust:

I've never posted in this thread, but please don't kick me out. :)

Have they tried Seroquel? It has helped my FIL have at least some good days.

Hi mfd25wife! Welcome!

We got our snow back over night! How did you make out last night, Betsy?

Hello and welcome to our "little" thread. If you want to go way back into history of the DISboards "Who Feels like a Threadkiller" is the longest running thread ever on the Community Board.

History lesson aside :rotfl2:

We don't kick anyone out  It just isn't our style:flower3:

We'd be happy to have you come and stay with us for as long as you want.

Hi mfd25wife! Welcome!

We are pretty much snowless at the moment. There are some small piles that used to be large piles ::yes:: . Our yard is quite snow free and that is just that way that I like it!

It is nice and sunny today but quite windy and chilly.

Nothing real exciting going on here. Just counting down the days :cool1:

Busy days... here trying to get my mom settled...looks like my mom's lake prop. is going up for sale...anyone interested in a lakefront vacation spot in Pa.?
I'm very sad to be having to sell, but I knew it was inevitable... Just happened faster then expected..

Robin, Not much longer now...LUCKY girl!:thumbsup2

Have a good day ladiespixiedust:

Your mom is still not settled yet Betsy? I hope she settles in soon and starts to enjoy living in her new home.

What kind of property does she own? Is it a year round type of house, a more rustic cottage sort of place? What's the lake like? Enquiring minds want to know ;)

Sorry to hear that your snow has returned. I'm just hoping that our weather will stay semi good until I leave to go away next week. I don't want anything to get in between me and Mickey :goodvibes

Oh SHE is settled in ..just trying to get the business part settled.:faint:

The prop. is a summer cottage, on about .88 acres... Its a great lake..not real big , but not too small... they use power boats on it for tubing and water skiing, but the horsepower is limited..and to tell the truth If I could water ski, I don't think Id use it for that as you are almost always making a turn.
The cottage is in rough shape and needs major work to get it livable, there is also a barn(outbuilding), but that's in worse shape.
We need to get a Realtor down there to assess it, so I don't know what the asking price would be either... If you are interested...I'll send you the listing when we get it on the market...which will have to be ASAP:worried:

I hope your weather is ok til you leave..and you have a great time at the world!:wizard:

Mikes home today, because he has to work from around 8PM -5AM to get some medical records computer program up and running at the hospital. It has to be done when they arent being used much. Thats in the middle of the night.:(

Well, I will be lurking...Have a good daypixiedust:

TTFNpaw:

My Mike also does IT/IS work at a hospital so I definitely understand the sometimes they work through the night thing!

A house on a lake sounds lovely, but no disposible cash here! :(

Hope things get settled on your mom's stuff, so things can be a bit easier for you!

Robin~ you're getting close!

Betsy, I'd love to see the listing when you get it done. Don't think I would be buying a house in PA but I like to look at that stuff. We could always move our 5th wheel there and set up and come down for weekends:thumbsup2

Weather is still looking okay. Only 5 more sleeps or 5 more dinners to cook (whichever way you want to look at it :lmao: ) We are spending one night in Detroit near the airport and then flying out the next morning.

That's interesting Betsy and Mary Lou, Rick spends a lot of time on a computer at work too but he doesn't work in a hospital. He spends most of his time programming machines so they will do the work that needs to get done. He rarely has to work overnight though. I won't say that he hasn't in the past but not these days.

Our shop is so slow right now. There is nothing for the guys to do. We had to lay off one guy and are struggling to keep the other 2 busy. We're hoping things will turn around again soon. Just need to hang on til then.

I have no big plans for today. Whatever you decide to do today, have a good one. :goodvibes

What's shakin' ?

Or maybe I shouldn't ask :rotfl2::3dglasses
Way too much is shakin' on me, Robin.... and....No... dont ask...where its shakin:worried: You don't want to know. :rolleyes2

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

most of our snow is gone...but we will be getting more, along with a lot of wind they say...:worried:

How was the trip?.. Did you try out the new fastpass plus?:listen:, Check out the new fantasy Land?...
What did you think of all the new digs, and things....???:listen:

Come on ... DISH!... :scratchinI'm very curious if its just a lot of hype or something to look forward to.:3dglasses
Glad your home safe, and sound..

Have a great day ladies:wizard:

our snow is all gone this morning too. We had a lot of rain yesterday and probably some more to come today.

The trip was great. I heard and saw nothing about the new fastpass plus. Also did not notice anyone wearing any special wrist bracelets and I did keep watch for them.

The weather was good for the most part but you had to go out in the morning with a jacket and you needed that jacket again when the sun went down. In the middle of the day it was glorious though.

The parks seemed to be really busy, at least the walkways were, you had to dodge people all the time just to get to places. The attractions wait times though were not all that bad, it seemed. We managed to ride everything we wanted without any major wait times.

We did a lot of the obscure things that I don't normally do, for example, the steamboat, Country Bear Jamboree, Tiki Birds, the tea cups, the carousel.... and those sorts of things. It was nice for a change.

The new Fantasyland looks like it will be neat when it is finished. There is still a lot of construction going on. We did go on the new Little Mermaid ride (twice) and enjoyed it but I love the music from that movie.

:wave2:
So glad you had a nice time.
The Fantasy Land should be all done by the time I get there.

Too bad they weren't doing the FP Plus I was looking forward to hearing how it all works out...Oh well I'll have to grill Ann when she gets home...lol

I don't think I have ever gone on the steam Boat, but I love Country Bear Jamboree... Not Mike's favorite tho...The others I dont do .. They would make me sick before the first turn...:faint:

::Raises hand:::

This is me... I dunno why, but in general, I am pretty much completely ignored en masse, or will kill a thread. I try to pipe in with great spunk when the mood strikes me, and to personalize things as to not come in with an "I have arrived" attitude, but I'm pretty much a thread killin', never fits in anywhere but my own family misfit in life (and am OK with it.) :thumbsup2

So, hello to all fellow misfits :)

Yes me too. I don't always kill threads but I think that I am invisible at times.

I will post something and no one seems to notice but someone will post the exact same thing just after me and gets a lot of attention because of it :confused3

Anyway, welcome to the Threadkiller thread. We are not as vocal as we used to be over the years but we still come by every now and again just to keep the thing going.

Feel free to stay and hang out with us. We are always looking for new victim....... er.......... friends :cool1:

Hahahah:rotfl:...... Love it!:duck:

Jubilee, Welcome!
We all have felt this way at one time or another ...hence the thread!;)

But this thread has been going longer then most threads on these boards, so I say WE are the COOL people!:cool2:...lol

Hi, I'm Betsy. Id say that Robin and I are the oldsters of this thread. BUT only in years...our attitudes are much younger... I always say even if you have to grown old...You never have to grow UP!::yes::

So no real plans today for me... some shopping. I tried to make res. at Moxies( one of the only "nice" places to eat) for Valentines day, but they were closed yesterday ..so I am waiting for a call back..If we cant get into there..Ill just make a nice dinner home I think... BUT it would be nice to not have to cook.

Well have a good day pixiedust: Ladies.
This weather is a real bummer:worried:, really wish spring would get here... I know too soon, but another winter storm on the way is NOT helping...:scared1::scared1: Maybe we will luck out and it will miss us this time...:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:
