Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Hi everyone!

Thank you SO much for your kind words. Tom and I are doing okay. Today we took a small road trip and had lunch at a place that makes the best fried chicken in the state. It's about an hour away, but we took the scenic route and it took almost two. Then we took a nap (finally slept) and had yummy BLTs for dinner.

I really appreciate everyone being there for me....ya'll are the best!

Robin - you keep on dancing, girlfriend! Let us know how your mother is and please post while in WDW, Kim! Colleen - thank you for your kindness....and the pic on facebook. PD - I'm so happy to see you back on the boards!

Thanks everyone!

More {{HUGS}} Ann! I will be checking in - some nights - from WDW, via Matt's laptop and internet $$ access from my room. ;)

Our Hollydog is gone. She went without pain and very peacefully. Thank you my Threadkiller friends for always being there for me...

Oh Ann, I am so so very sorry.:sad1: How are you doing?

Kimmy, I hope your Mom feels better soon, this is crazy.

Crusin, how is your shoulder doing?

NUTTIN new to report here. Still unemployed. As of today I sent out 90 resumes.....got one response! Its maddening.:headache: Sadly I belong to a "Unemployment group"...not matter what fields anybody is in....Its the same story.

However I am taking a break. Me & James are going to Washington DC next Wednesday for 5 nights.:wizard: I found a inexpensive hotel one block away from a Metro station, that offers free parking (Thats a BIG deal down there) and free breakfest.

If you get a minute say a pray there is one great Govt job I am waiting to hear from.....:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

You got it DU. Prayer for the gov't job for you! I can't begin to imagine how frustrated you must be.

We have been going to Cape Cod for our summer vacation for 22 years. We always stay somewhere inland and drive to the beach, where we wait for a parking spot and then trudge all of our beach stuff to whatever good spot we can find. Every year my DH and I (and later our 3 daughters too) walk along the beach and drean that "someday" we will rent one of those houses up on the bluff, with a private beach. Well this year we decided to splurge! Here's a picture of our backyard for the house we will rent for a week this summer.
So what do you think? I just sent the check to the realtor today and I am absolutely giddy...yup I just used the word "giddy"

Howdy DU, my shoulder seems to be doing a whole lot better the past week or so. I have a lot more movement than I used to have and a lot less pain.

Have a great time on your vacation with James.

Good luck being sent your way for your job search. I hope you find something real soon.

So what do you think?

I think it look mahvellous, darling. :rotfl2:

Actually I do think it looks marvelous. I'm sure that you are going to really enjoy that. I'd love to stay at a place like that too. :thumbsup2

Hi Threadkillers!

DU - It's nice to see you back on the boards! We've missed you! Thank you for your kind words....I'm doing okay. As you know, these things take time. Good luck with the job search and enjoy DC...the museums are wonderful! I used to live about an hour and a half outside of DC (I've lived LOTS of places) and loved DC proper. So much history.

PD - Love, love, LOVE your vacation backyard! You will have SO much fun! Take lots of pics and post, please!

Speaking of pics....Thanks for posting Holly's pic on Facebook, TW! You are too sweet!

Robin - it was great talking to you today....

DP - glad to see you posting again. I love to see everyone on-line!

Kim - you are SO close to your trip! I'm sorry I won't be in Disney with you! My annual pass expired with all the travel Tom and I have done earlier and plan to pick up again in August, it doesn't make sense to renew it yet.

Hope everyone is having a great evening!

Ann, we will miss seeing you again, but completely understand! Even if we HAD had plans, given the circumstances, I would've totally understood you Not being there. We'll still miss you tho! :grouphug:

:yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo:Have a fantastic time Kim.

Alex and Steph are coming to town today. They are going to borrow our trailer for the weekend to go camping with their friends.

I will get to see Steph's engagement ring in person today:goodvibes and also Alex :rotfl2:

Have a good day all.

Final dance class before the recital is this morning. :dance3:

Dance recital weekend for me.

I'm off to checkout Liz's house today and pick up her mail and stuff since she is gone for the summer. I'm going to try and make it there at least once a week but I can't guarantee that I will. All her mail goes into the large group mailbox but they do get junk mail and flyers put into their mailbox at the door.

Then I'm going to stop at the campground where Alex and Steph are for a small visit.

Some bad news here yesterday. My mom found out that she has breast cancer:guilty: I have no details other than they found cancer in one of the lumps they biopsied a couple of weeks ago. She has an appointment with the surgeon on Monday but I also have my pre-op checkup at my own doctor at the same time. I'm going to try and get that changed so that I can go with my mom. It's always good to have an extra set of ears and I don't really trust her "listening" capabilities. She doesn't really have much of a medical mind and I think it would be best if she has someone else along with her.

So, hopefully I can get thru to my doctor this morning and get that changed.

Monday I also have my pre-admit appointment at the hospital. They go over what's going to happen etc while you are at the hospital.

But first, to get past the recitals tomorrow. :dance3:

Robin I agree about having a second set of ears. We always have one of the kids go with my mom to her doctor's appoinments. She doesn't always get the info straight. Hopefully they have found this quickly enough that they can take of things!

I hope they can reschedule you. What day is your surgery?

I think it is so cool that you kept dancing even after Liz moved!

Oh, Robin....I'm SO sorry! I hope your mothers cancer is easily cured and/or contained and you're able to switch your surgery. But don't wait to long for yourself! You are in my prayers.

Hiya Kim! Glad you made it! Have a wonderful time!

PD! Awesome to see you! When do you leave for Cape Cod?

Not too bad of a day today here. Met my friend for coffee/soda. Made an awesome dinner and went to McDonalds for some soda & reading time. Played cards and LOST! Tom kicked my you know what!

Ya'll take care and have a great Saturday!

Thanks PD. I hope they have found it early too.

My surgery is set for June 23rd.

I managed to get my doctor's appointment changed by 2 hours on Monday, so hopefully I can fit everything in. Although my drive to the doctor and back is 1 hour in total.

So on Monday, it will be........ to the doctor with my mom.......... to the doctor for me ........... and then to the hospital for my pre-admit appointment.

Gonna be a busy packed day on Monday.

I really enjoy my dance classes, so I'm glad I kept them up too. I have to give it up for at least part of the summer, til I heal, but am hoping to be good to go again in September. :thumbsup2

Hey Ann. I'm not trying to switch my surgery date (at least not yet anyways).

I just wanted to go with my mom when she sees the surgeon on Monday. It's kind of funny but she is going to the same surgeon that is going to do my surgery. Maybe we can ask for a family rate;)

Another dance recital is done :faint:

Of course, the temperature today was 106 with the humidity factored in.:scared1:

Yup, lovely day to spend dancing on a stage with the hot lights shining down on you:thumbsup2
