Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

 Robin! Get well soon!

 Ann & Tom. :sad1:

Well, we got home late Monday night, and to say we were exhausted is an understatement. The brutal heat took a lot out of us, even with down days. :sad2: Still loved it tho! :thumbsup2

We went to see TS3 on opening day, and due to a lack of thinking on my part, and being seated in the last row of the 4th balcony - I took a xanax, and fell asleep about 1/2 hour into the movie! :headache: Matt said he'll take me for free maybe tomorrow night. :thumbsup2

Bit of bad news I didn't bother to share while we were there - I didn't want to think about it anymore than I had to - Matt called our 1st day there and said the A/C wasn't working, said it smelled like something was burning. :sad2: Well, $2400 later, we have a new furnace/blower motor/coil and air filter system. He handled it all here, with me giving credit card info over the phone. :rolleyes1 He did great, and we really appreciated it, but the basement is in even worse shape after he had to take everything out of the storage areas on both sides of the furnace for them to replace everything. I'm still finding things where they don't belong, and not finding things where they were. :upsidedow Oh well. ;) A/C is running smoothly now.

More to come......

Sorry about the air conditioning. I guess the good news is that this happened during the sunmmer rather than the winter. Easier to live without AC than without heat, while things are being repaired.

Has anyone heard from Robin? I thought of her all day yesterday. Hope all went well!

Ann & Tom

Thanks for all the good wishes my friends. I do appreciate your care and concern:goodvibes

DU, you need to stop in more often. I miss your wonderful charm and wit around here.:thumbsup2

OK! I will!

My Mom arrived in Kissimmee today and is already out with her realtor. I never thought I would say it, but I would totally move back in with her right now.

Hiya Threadkillers!

I was in contact with Rick (via e-mail) and he said that Robin has had a bit of a bumpy time, but is improving. He said they are going to remove some tubes that have been uncomfortable, but didn't say when she'll be discharged from the hospital.

Thought you'd like to know....

(if this is a double post - sorry - the server was giving me fits!)

Robin you are in my thoughts and prayers.:wizard:

Only info I have is that a friend of Liz's posted that she's seen Robin twice in the hospital, and looks good, and that she'll visit Robin at home as well, when she gets there. :thumbsup2

:wizard: :grouphug:  :goodvibes for Robin!! :lovestruc

Not to detract from Robin at all - her situation is obviously more serious....but, Kelly has been waking up every morning for 2 weeks now (while at Disney, and now at home as well), with hives, I think. She has itchy patches of welts all over her legs and arms. I started giving her Benadryl in WDW but it made her soo sleepy, I cut the dose in 1/2, and it still worked. Trouble is, she still has the itchy, patchy welts every morning at home now, and while the Benadryl works, and makes her sleepy, we can't figure out why she has Hives to begin with! :confused3

As for me, I have a dentist appt, cleaning, on Monday, but I just so happened to lose a crowned molar tooth Sunday while I was brushing. :sad2: I can't afford the cleaning right now, let alone a crown/molar replacement whatever, and Kelly's rash/hives treatment, AND pay the A/C bill that happened while we were gone. :sad2: Just spewing, sorry. :sad1: It'll work out. :goodvibes I think. :rolleyes1

Kim ~ I'm sure TW will give the same advice....get her to the doctors/allergist! Sounds like she needs to be tested for allergies. It might be something she's eating - it could be a change of soap or laundry detergent is needed.

Let us know how it goes - but make sure she gets taken care of. You can go from allergic one day to anaphylactic the next!

I just got an e-mail from Rick and he said that Robin is doing much better...walking the halls and such. If all goes well, she'll be released on Tuesday!

Take care everyone....I'm off!

Awesome news Ann:cool1:
Robin,
You have been in my prayers, and I have been thinking of you often.
So glad you are on the mend::yes::

Kim,
Sorry to hear of your money woes. Isn't it just like that, to have everything happen at once. :sad2: Hope Kelly feels better ASAP.:flower3:

Hey DU, TW, and PD,

Ive had the day off today, but worked on the newsletter for most of it.
Oh well it was a little rainy most of this morning anyway.

Took Brittany out shopping for her 17th birthday on Sat. She bought a few very cute Ts, and a nice pair of jean, along with a couple of hair accessories.
Then we took her to a new Chinese buffet. It was a very nice time. Although seeing as she worked from 8AM til 1PM, and I worked from 8AM til 12 PM, and we didn't get going until around 2PM by the time we got done with dinner Mike had two very tired females on his hands.
Then on Sunday we went to Mike and Lori's for Billy's 7th birthday party. His birthday isn't til the 1st of July, but this is when more people were around, seeing as its the 4th of July weekend that weekend. It was a fun party :goodvibes, with a ton of kids running amok, and too much food:sad2:

Other than that.....
nothing more to tell, just SSDD :teeth:

Going to go watch a bit of TV:happytv:
I wish everyone a good evening:wizard:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Hello everyone. I am back :thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the well wishes while I was gone. I really do appreciate them.

Kim, so sorry to hear about all of your various woes. Things sure seem to pile up around us at times don't they

I got home from the hospital about an hour and 1/2 ago. I've kinda felt really bad the past 2 almost 3 days because I've been in the hospital but I felt great. I felt like I could have been home but I had to progress my way thru clear fluids, full fluids (with creamed soups and milk products) and on to a full regular diet before I was allowed to come home.

The first couple of days were a bit rough because of the nasal tube draining my stomach and this central line thing with three dangly parts that they inserted in my neck in the operating room.

I coughed one day and the nasal tube moved which was extremely annoying and made me nauseaus a lot.

But once the tubes started to come out I felt good.

Also had trouble with the pain killer after a couple of days, made me all flushed and nauseated and they discontinued it and it was much better.

I think since about Saturday night, I've been pretty much totally off pain meds.

I had very little pain from my incision which is quite long (32 titanium staples worth )

Anyway, it is done and over and on with the rest of my life.

(psss.......... Alex and Steph are talking a Disney wedding now :dance3: , needless to say, I'm all for that )

Welcome back Robin!!!!! It must feel wonderful to be back home....32 staples ...WOW! Make sure you take care of yourself and don't over do things! We don't want you ending up back in the hospital! Just sit in front of your computer and DIS! Oh a Disney wedding sounds wonderful!:goodvibes

hi everyone that still remembers me, Robin, Kim, HollyAnne, Dalpal, disunc,

I just read the last page, sorry to hear you were in the hospital Robin, hope your feeling better & have a speedy healing/recovery.

as you can see I haven't been on the boards in along time...

I just saw Kim's TK symbol on the Universal board and had to find out who was still here. Glad to see some things don't change:hippie:

Wendy

 Brenda, lovely to have you pop in again. We have missed you.

AND :faint: Ms. MaMudduck ......... Wendy, fantastic to see you again too.

Yes we are all still here, plugging slowly along ( or very slowly in my case at the moment).

I was just thinking about you not so long ago :goodvibes

We're celebrating the 3's today...3 mos; 3 wks; 3 days....
hey if you're thinking a trip in the future...i 'HIGHLY' recommend our friend Tigg...she has been so awesome putting this cruise together for us!!!! taking care of everything for me (and my sister and our daughters)....well just wanted you all to know she's a marvelous travel agent!!!!

DS is home for the summer - working at Cal Pac again - whew...at least he makes some decent spending money....his GF is here for a couple of months too - i hired her to work for me in the ofc. She lives up in the Cali hills - small town - not a lot of opport for jobs - so its really nice that Cal Pacific lets our HS/college kids have these summer jobs.

Jen & her hubby looking forward to their beautiful new home being completed...i think it has taken longer than she ever dreamed (they broke ground 4/15/2009)....but she's really hoping they are in before the holidays...

take care all...TTYL

Kim, please get your daughter's hives checked. The worst I ever saw was Rose had a problem like that and it turned out to be chigggers (bugs under the skin.)

Glad to see you up and around Robin!

Brenda, Wow! six years!? They really do wrap up inside our hearts dont they~

aww, thank you sweety. I really love coordinating trips for others. Itsthe only way I gety little taste of Disney, but I'll take it ::)

Ew, EW, EW, and more EW! I looked her symptoms up tho, and I'm pretty sure it's hives. Still don't know WHY tho. 'They' say that hives are usually not diagnosable tho. :confused3 Thank you all for caring and inputting tho! I appreciate ALL input! :thumbsup2

ROBIN!!! Welcome Home! :goodvibes Feel better Soon!! :thumbsup2

Wendy! Holy Moly Oly! Long time no see!

My fractured crowned molar, with regular cleaning, cost almost $1,000! :headache: I'm overdue for my mammo, Kelly's hives continue, and I'll stop there. I'm ashamed to say, I told Kelly today that money is not growing out my ears, eyes, nose, or butt! :rolleyes1 I'm dealing tho.
