Thanks for asking Betsy! She's been home for a few weeks, I presume doing better - since we haven't gotten another call that she's back in the hospital. It was a Long 22 days last month. Thanks to all for P&PD! :goodvibes

Good Luck on the jury duty! :wizard:

Good morning to everyone

Betsy, I'm not sure about the newsletter. I know that I've gotten some but just when the last one was I'm not entirely sure. :confused3

I agree with the 80 degree weather. I'll have that back any day please. It's going to be pleasant here for the next few days and then rain all weekend, of course.

Good luck with the jury duty. I hope they don't select you. Just wear a Disney shirt and look mean and angry.

That's what I did and it seemed to work for me :lmao:

Kim, glad to hear a good update on your mom. Hope she stays healthy.:goodvibes

This morning I have an appointment with the surgeon to get some questions answered before my surgery. Also to get the results of the CT scan that I had at the end of March.

I am so not looking forward to having this surgery

Hi everyone - just doing a quick fly-by. Robin - please keep us posted and let us know what the doc says. You'll be in our hearts and on our minds....

Quick little flybys all around....

Been busy at home and work, hubby and me have been spending lots of time together on the weekends;
DFIL is due back from FL tomorrow afternoon so we spent some time tonight straightening up his room tonight...

Love and Miss You All!

Let the hoe-down begin! I think that's the proper spelling, maybe without the "-" tho. :confused3 Anyway, Kelly starts her 3rd annual Ice Show Friday night. 4 shows over 3 days, in under less than 48 hours! It is a COLD time, all those hours, sitting and watching each show, but it's always entertaining. ;) Just can't understand the beret she's wearing for a C&W theme? :confused3

PAID the balance on our Disney trip tonight! Did NOT want that falling through the gaps this weekend! :thumbsup2

Sooo...I'm :cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana: :cool1: that we're going! :woohoo:

:goodvibes Thinkin of you all.

Of course the Hospital didnt call me back this week. So I called them. I am still very much in the running. HR will call me NEXT WEEK now. :headache: Remember when 'professionals" words meant something?

Anyhooo a few other things are going on, but nothing stable or significant. I dont do Unemployment very well. Drives me nuts (more than the usual nuttiest);)

I hope all is well with everyone here.:thumbsup2

I, well really James, got a very exciting present today in the mail.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Robin he will love it.:yay::yay::yay::yay:

:goodvibes

I am doing better than this lousy weather:umbrella:! yuk.
Still waiting for the phone to ring.

My friend Louie & Linda were up from Florida yesterday:thumbsup2 I made Loin of pork, mashed potatoes...applesauce. All was good. They had a wedding to attend on Saturday.

They stayed at one of those Pocono Honeymoon Resorts.....OMG:scared1::scared1: I went there this am(Louie told me I HAD to see it).....heart shaped jacuzzi (that made them itch) 7foot champagne glass tub (that was FILTHY)
round shaped bed...that was a bit larger than twin size.
And Roman columns ALL OVER the room. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Anyhow we went for lunch and they went to Gettysburg next.

I'm glad to hear that it arrived safely.

Well, as soon as I saw it, I knew where it might be welcome:thumbsup2

I looked thru it and thought that James might like all of the pictures in it.

I hope he enjoys it.

:scared1:Hmm, sounds like a lovely place that your friends stayed in.

Your dinner sounds great though ;)

Seriously - 4 days - and no posts?!?! :scared: I'm surprised I even found a 'bookmark' for this, as I haven't visited here either. :guilty:

Don't make ME the LAST TK, please! :sad2:

Robin, did you, by chance, send an Elvis book? :confused3 ;)

You know -you're right Kim! I'm missing my threadkiller friends. How are you doing? How is Kelly doing with all her competitions? Practice killing you both?

Went this morning for some blood work (routine) and it make me think of you, Robin. When do you have your surgery? I hope everything is well. I'm thinking of you!

Tom and I are doing a lot of computer research for our trip. We decided to take Houston out and put in Oklahoma City (there's a steakhouse we want to try).

Tonight is our standing Friday night card game.

....what's new with all the rest of the threadkillers?

Yes I did send an Elvis book.

Every year here there is a huge used book sale to benefit the hospital and people donate books. My mom had this large Elvis book that she wanted to get rid of.

It wasn't it the greatest shape because it was a soft cover but it was really full of a lot of pictures, all in black and white.

So instead of donating it, I thought that I knew someone else who might get some enjoyment out of it and sent it on to a new home:thumbsup2

Hey Ann:wave:

My surgery is set for June 23.

I'm doing okay so far except I've got this real problem with my left arm. I've been seeing my chiropractor since we got home from the cruise and there is some improvement but it is very slow going.

I'm not looking forward to the surgery but with any luck I will get thru it and there will be no cancer and I can get on with my life again. This type of tumor can be cancer or not, too hard to tell without taking it out. Even if it is cancer it is usually the type that is cured by removing it. The doctor said if it were cancerous that she would still be sending me to a cancer clinic to make sure there was no more treatment that they thought was necessary.

So I just keep on moving and try not to think about it too much. Lots of dancing to do still since the annual recital is June 12 :dance3: I've got 6 dances to work on this year, there is plenty to occupy my mind :rotfl:

Enjoy your cards tonight and have fun with your research.

It's going to be lovely warm here for the next few days (almost 80), so I'm going to get outside and get my share of it :woohoo:

DISboards are driving me crazy:headache:

When I click on threads to read them, I'm often getting a server is busy notice.

But when I click on a random thread that I have no interest in reading at all, it will usually work:confused3

Anybody else having any problems with this?

I'm glad it at least let me get on this thread:goodvibes

Hiya Threadkillers!

Robin - thanks for the update. I've marked the date in my calendar, but won't be home. If you don't hear from me, you'll be in my thoughts. I dunno where we'll be on the 23rd. Probably Pennsylvania.

We just purchased a doggie booster seat on-line. We bought it from Ebay. The ones at PetSmart were horrible. I'll try to post a pic later. I hope this one works. It's pretty nice. Converts to a bed and has a drawer under it for essentials. The good news is it latches with a seat belt and has a harness. If we're going to be on the road for 6 weeks, she has to be safe.

We purchased a travel crate (made of nylon and collapsable) for Hollydog for when we have to leave her in a hotel room - the little escape artist figured it out! We came home today (trying to get her adjusted) and she was out and the door zipper was open! Our low-tech solution is a twisty-tie. Hopefully that will work.

That's pretty much been my day. My parents are leaving in 6 days for the summer and the sisters are heading to Charleston in 12 days for a quick trip!

Take care and thinking of you my threadkiller friends!

You know -you're right Kim!
Sorry, that just looked soo nice!! ;)

Robin & Ann, I wish you both the bestest of wishes and, if it's ok, prayers too! :grouphug: Hoping for the best for both of you!! :thumbsup2

Ann, any chance you'll be in WDW 6/10-6/21? :confused3

Love ya all, TKers! Now - POST! :thumbsup2

Good morning threadkillers.

I'm still having that problem accessing the DIS threads:confused3

Every single thread that I clicked on, I get that silly message:eek:

But for some reason I can get to this one:woohoo:

It is the strangest thing. It's getting annoying because I see lots of threads that I want to look at and can't.

We are in the rainy season right now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. Yesterday I just hung around the house and did little odds and ends. I really need to go for food but I just hate doing it, so I've been putting it off.
