Contacts, Ann?

Cool. Do you have a picture of the new you to share with us?

I've thought about it but don't know if I would be able to get them or not. My eyes are quite bad.

Also then you'd be able to see all the dark circles under my eyes much easier :lmao:

Enjoy your busy life.

I'm going out to dinner tonigh with the airplane club. They usually have a little get together every year for Christmas and tonight is the night.

I finally took a few pictures of my bedrooms that I painted a couple months ago.

The first set is Alex's old room. The colour of this room is very strange. It seems to change from a dark terracotta colour to a fairly bright pink colour depending on the light:confused3 I'm not sure that I'm in love with it but it is what it is and I'm not about to paint it again.

The picture is one that I've admired at Disney the past few years. I finally bought it when I was there in October.:thumbsup2 It has a sand pail for each of the parks and also DCL:love:

This room still needs some suitable bedside tables but I haven't found anything I like yet.

I love the bed and it is so very comfortable. It's great. It is a queen size though and the room is tiny, so it tends to dominate the room but that's okay with me.

Colleen, notice a familiar looking Mickey:confused3 ;)

I am quite satisfied with the way these two rooms turned out. Now the rest of the house looks like it needs some work :)

Sounds like a whole bunch of birthday fun coming up for you Kim.

:cheer2:
You call that FUN?! We change the wrapping paper in December is about all - and buy more gifts! My cousin has 2 kids in Dec also! And, Marty has 1 sister and 3 brothers in Dec too! :scared1:

I look forward to the day(s) when my kids leave (NOT, really, but you know what I mean), and I can clean-up their rooms MY WAY! Maybe I can then move out of the basement with my puter! :thumbsup2 Love your rooms, Robin! :worship:

I could move my computer upstairs but I've decided to stay in the basement with it.

It is comfortable down here and I've taken over a nice large corner desk that Liz used to use when she was home:thumbsup2

I've changed it a bit more since this picture but it's a work in progress to make it "mine". I think Johnny has to stay though LOL.

Kim, notice the tissue box cover. One of the many that I have received in the past from you. Thanks.

Great pics Robin! The rooms look really nice~

The Disney touches are Bonus! The beach one is gorgeous...

Gotta get off the puter and finish packing;

John is taking Rose and me to the airport around 3. We are supposed to fly out around 5 but Philly is having crappy weather and delays always follow; so I expect this to be a bit of a late night

Yes, a room would never be finished properly if there wasn't a touch of Disney somewhere ;)

The Mickey is one that you sent to me a few years ago:thumbsup2 ( I like having little reminders of my friends around that house too :goodvibes )

The beach picture is just one that Liz noticed in a store like Walmart. She said that it was definitely "me". Which of course is true. Palm trees, beach chairs, sand and water.... what more could one ask for in life:confused3

Have a great time in Florida. Kind of hard not to, isn't it.

We will be here waiting to hear all about it when you get back :woohoo:

Have a great trip Colleen!pixiedust:
I hope you are not getting the snow we are right now....and your flights wont be delayed for too long.
Robin,
I love the rooms!...The bedspread in the first room is really nice too!

Well as I said, we are getting our first real snow of the year(a few inches so far, and still snowing steadily) ....Its very pretty:rolleyes1...I cant say as I am overjoyed with it though.. :guilty: I had to stand in the cold and scrape the windows of my car before I could go home from work this morning:sad2:

On a happy note for this time of year:goodvibes....The Christmas cards I have gotten inspired me to get my decorations started and my house is looking very festive!:santa:

Well the twins are here visiting, so I,m off to be Nana for a little while.:upsidedow

Hi all!:wave2:

Long time no post.

Taking a little break from the decorations.:surfweb:

First time I'm putting them outside.

And probably the last.

Got blue lights like the castle.:thumbsup2

Not the same tho.:sad1:

Robin ~ love the rooms! OUr family room was that same terracotta as your room until about a month ago. WE had it that color for the past 7 or 8 years. It definitely went from the terra cotta to the dusty rose sort of color depending on the light. I think our color was called prairie rose. We now have olive grove. Which is much lighter and a better fit for the family room.

Colleen~ hope you are boarding your plane right now!

Hey everbody else!

Have a great time Colleen!

To all the other TKers  Have a good weekend!

Awesome area, but mine is quite the Mess!! :scared1: I have Matthew McConaughey posters and a Mel Gibson poster (all from Matt), and my Cubs posters! I guess this 'junk' really DOES need to STAY in the basement, but..... I can wish for more uncluttered days! ;) Tissue box cover - LOL! It's Disney, I know that, for sure! :thumbsup2

On a happy note for this time of year:goodvibes....The Christmas cards I have gotten inspired me to get my decorations started and my house is looking very festive!:santa:
The cards I've been getting are making me feel lazy! I got a LOT of pic cards already, no signatures, no nothing, except the envelope and picture so, expect the SAME from me!

Rory tried, he really did! His intention with the BLUE lights was to get a MK Castle 'feel'. It looks like a Cross with a star on top tho. My fave color is BLUE tho, so he didn't have to 'sell me' on the look! :thumbsup2 We had fun at his DSs BD party earlier too.....:santa: Zach RIPPED thru his gifts! And, Kelly waited forever to open the few she received - early. This wasn't her party, she just received some gifts, pre-BD and wanted to open them! And, she did! Very generous of Rory/AMY and others. :goodvibes

I think I'm about to pull another 24hr + day/night. I've done some online shopping (and Ebay selling) and I think I'm ready to pack the 12-15 bags for the teachers/office/lunch ladies at Kelly's school. :confused3 I bought the 'men' gift cards on line - easy! :thumbsup2

I need to get wrapping/packing! :santa:

Wow, lots of visitors here yesterday.

I was busy doing "stuff" around the house and didn't get to check until the boards were down for maintenance:sad2:

Rory we need a picture of your castle ::yes::

PD, you are right it definitely has different colours depending on sunlight, time of day etc. The colour I used was called Tandoori Spice :confused3 Anyway, it is slowly growing on me. More correctly it is done and painted and there's no way I'm going thru all that work of changing the colour again :lmao:

Colleen  Hope you made it safely to Florida. :woohoo:

SWTD - :wave2: How are things going for you these days.

Kim, my desk area looks so neat because I've just really moved into it in the past month or so. Give it time and it will soon be trashed :rotfl:

The tissue box is a Mickey one right now, but I know that you sent me some Christmas ones, so I really should look for that and be in the spirit of things :upsidedow

Hey, Betsy and Ann... hope you are both busy and happy.

hey TKers...how ya all doing???? kind of forget to pop in here since most of you are on fb and i can stay in touch with all of you there...working on Christmas cards today and need to check my PM's for addresses....so thought i'd pop in and say hi!!!! hope everyone is well!!!

Hello My Threadkiller Friends!

Robin - thanks for sharing all your pics. The rooms are lovely and it looks like the desk is in the perfect spot. When you visit, you'll see ours....not much, but we like it.

PD - SO nice to see you on the boards again. We've missed you!

Betsy - Susan sent us a pic of snow at her place - it looks like a fairy land (she has lots of trees and a cottage style house). I keep expecting to see Snow White on the porch. However lovely - you can keep the snow. It's 50 here today and I'm already sick of the cold. I want my shorts & flip-flops!

Colleen - I hope you're having fun @ Disney. If I wasn't there 3 days ago, I'd turn around and meet you!

Kim - Happy Birthdays to everyone. I imagine you're busy. Are you making any cakes? I'd help you, but we're too far away. Are you ready for Christmas?

Rory - so nice to see YOU on the boards! I just returned from Mickeys Christmas Party and the lights were beautiful, so I'd love to see a pic of yours! I have had an annual pass for 10 years and I've never been to the Christmas party so it was tons-o-fun!

SWTHD - I hope you are well! Are you ready for Christmas? I know I am. It has been liberating not doing any decorating and traveling this year....I think we'll do this again! SO relaxing!

OMG! CADZ?! It's awesome to see you, too! It's like old-home week! Quick! Someone get a hold of Brer Papa & DisUnc! We need them posting tonight, too!

I've got a busy week tomorrow. I have a doctor & dental appointment. Two lunch dates with girlfriends, our regular Friday Card game and an open house to attend! Plus, the house is a mess (as usual) and I need to get cleaning it and do some bargain shopping. I'm meeting my girlfriend for our regular Monday morning coffee, too!

I hope everyone is well.....

 Hi Brenda

Hi Ann :wave2:

Yes I agree that it is so great to have everyone stop in here for a visit. I was beginning to think it was time to let this thread die a natural death. But maybe there is hope afterall.

Brenda glad to hear that you are well.

Ann... busy as usual I see. I'm looking forward to seeing your desk and your Hollydog and you and Tom of course ;)

The next few weeks will just fly by and we will soon be on our way. :woohoo:

Robin - can you give me the exact dates? That way I'll try to get the house cleaned sometime around that time frame....but don't expect miracles!

Can't wait!

Ann, we absolutely do not care how clean or dirty your house is at all.

We are very casual, easy to please, go with the flow, sort of people, so don't worry about anything.

SWTD - :wave2: How are things going for you these days.

Things are great Robin, thanks! I cannot wait for the holidays. I hope they're relaxing for everyone

I'm sooo ready for Christmas. I love school but I can't wait for the break :faint: I'm glad you're having a relaxing time taking it easy.

You could never 'trash' an area like I have! :scared1:

Thanks Ann! Busy & lazy at the same time. When I'm lazy I'm anticipating all the 'stuff' Kelly has coming up, when I'm busy I'm doing the Kelly stuff. I'm not making anything but ressies! :rotfl: She wants to bring a treat to school Tuesday so my 1st choice is buy cupcakes from the store, or MAYBE bake them myself. Doubtful on the latter/batter :rotfl2: I need to address my pic cards and get a few more gifts, then I think I'm ready. Of course, the wrapping needs to happen too. :scared1: Just like everyone else, I'm sure. ;)

Holiday :grouphug: TKs!
