 Hi Cathy.

Thanks for stopping in.

DISUNC (or DU as he is affectionately known around here) will show up eventually ;)

Although looking back he hasn't been around for quite a few days.

Facebook seems to be stealing all of the Threadkillers away :guilty:

Ya I hear ya....I spend more time on that darn FB too...than here.

Just being lazy. And fighting with my new new new boss. He told me to work this week WEDS, Thurs & Fri to cover for vacations. I said I would. Then he forgeot & scheduled me for things on Mon & Tues (mind you he did this last minute while I was off) and then was peeeeeeeeeeved that I wasnt here.
He even so much set up a meeting for Me , him & The big Boss this am. Again I wasnt scheduled to be here, by his design.

I came into 6 nasty emails...all asking me questions about why the work for Mon & Tuesday isnt being done!

WHAT A MORON THIS GUY IS.:headache:

Well, after 10 days of being sick, I went to my Dr. today. I sounded like I had laryngytis the past 3-4 days, from coughing. She says I have bronchitis, again and, sent me for a chest x-ray also. She prescribed an antibiotic, an inhaler and, cough syrup with codeine, so I can sleep. If possible, I actually feel worse after starting the meds. She said it'll take a while tho. :guilty: I'm not fond of those inhalers either and I have to take it until it's gone - 4 Months! I blame the crazy weather we've ALL had! :headache:

:wizard: Feel better already wouldya?

My turn for a fly by!

Finishing up before we get on the road to NC...John had to work today so we aren't leaving til around 1. Since his work is giving him the whole two weeks off, I am not complaining at all about giving up my morning.

Depending on my wifi access, I will try to pop in while we are away.

Love you guys! Mean it!

.colleen.

Hope you are having fun!:goodvibes

Hi Threadkillers!

I'm back from my solo trip to Disney. Had a GREAT time! Nice and relaxing. We did get a ton of rain, so I didn't get out as much as usual.

Hollydoggie had her surgery this morning and we can pick her up tomorrow. She tore her doggie ACL and had to have it repaired. We have a 10 week recovery with 2 weeks of NO walking at all.

I hope ya'll are having a nice evening and I miss everyone posting!

DU - I hope your work settles down and congrats on the weight loss. My diet plan is to cook as much food as I can get my hands on....not working as well as yours! I'm glad you liked the cake. It was really tasty. Chocolate, with chocolate mousse and buttercream frosting....the guests ate it ALL. No throw away plates!

Robin - I got my packet for the cruise. Did you get yours?

2bfh - I hope you enjoy the threadkillers....we're a friendly bunch!

Kim - how are you feeling? Any better?

PC - congrats on your weight loss. See my diet plan above if you need to find the weight you've recently lost!

Hi to everyone else and I'm with Robin....missing the heavy posting!

loving life right now but one key ingredient is missing... :upsidedow

oops, I'm posting like I'm on facebook

I'm about to crash in the bed....just popping in to say Hi.. or should I be saying goodnight... :confused3

 Hi Ann. I forgot that you were going so soon on your solo trip.

Glad to hear that you had fun.

I hope Holly has a quick recovery. How the heck are you supposed to hold an animal down if they really don't want to be held down:confused3

No DCL mailings for me yet Ann.

Hi Cally :wave2:

Hello and :grouphug: All!

After 2 weeks of being sick, I have finally started to feel a little better the past 2 days. On wed, after work, I took my parents to see Jersey Boys for my mom's 65th BD (2nd time for me) and, they liked it! On Thursday, I actually THOUGHT I might get some :laundy: done. Didn't happen but, I DID make dinner. I am thinking I had/have some flu rather than bronchitis?? :confused3 I know when I had the flu years ago tho, it was even worse than this but, maybe, the flu shots I get every year helped me??? :confused3 This was some nasty thing I had, lasting over 2 weeks! Chest x-ray was normal, according to Dr. I wonder if that means it's normal for a smoker so, she wasn't as concerned. :confused3

 for Holly and her recovery! for Cally & Roger!

:grouphug: to all!

I'm glad to hear that you are finally feeling better Kim. It is no fun being sick.

Being sick is something that I don't often do.

Went to Liz's again last night.

Got a few final things done for her and she should be good to go for the school year.

Her final 2 roommates are moving in this weekend, one today and one tomorrow.

I don't know what the girl that lives there now actually survives on. :confused3

She has a bare minimum of everything and doesn't seem to have any food at all, unless she is keeping some of it in her room:confused3

Liz's kitchen cupboard on the other hand is stocked full:lmao:

The weather looks to be absolutely wonderful for this long weekend coming up.

We had thought of camping at the local airfield but I think that Rick is just going to drive there everyday and I'm going to hang around here.

Hi Kim.

I was around yesterday but nobody had posted so it felt kinda funny talking to myself:confused:

Yesterday my mother and I took a drive to try and find her sister's grave. We did not go to the funeral (were not invited). She died a few years back.

It was a 4 hour drive one way. We found the cemetery all right but never found my aunts grave:confused3

We had some sort of cryptic directions and were told to ask the groundskeeper for further help if needed.

We followed the directions as best as we could and the office was closed yesterday:rolleyes: We searched but we never did find it.

Oh well, it was a nice day for a drive.

Today I am going to do some painting. I have a couple of bedrooms that need to be done.

Today is also my mom's 74th birthday. She is going to celebrate by coming over to help me paint:rotfl2:

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Hi everyone!

We've been busy with Holly dog. She's in some pain, but healing. They said that running around is a big no-no as well as licking her wound. Well, our doggie isn't much for licking herself, so we thought it'd be okay to leave her for an hour.....mistake! She's managed to lick out one of the sutures. Now I'm wondering if I should call the emergency after hours vet? Or just leave it alone.

Kim - I'm glad you're feeling better. Make sure you give yourself time to get back on your feet....take it easy!

Robin - I hope your mom has a happy day and enjoy your painting ~ if you can. My dad just had his father's remains moved from California to Michigan. Long story, he died 40 years ago when he was in CA and no one could afford to have him moved to rest next to his spouse. Well, the day finally came....and my dad is much happier (he's the last one left of his family except for us kids).

I hope ya'll are having a great day and I'll chat with you later!

Ann, how is Holly doing now? What did you decide to do about the suture?

The room painting went very well. I thought it would be very hard to paint since it was a very dark blue colour but it covered totally with one coat of primer and one top coat.

Now it is something called pale bamboo. It's a medium greenish colour with a beige tint to it. :confused3

Hard to explain the colour but it looks good.

Glad to hear that your dad has his father where he wants him to be.

That must have been interesting arranging something like that? What do they do with his plot where he was originally placed?

Do they resell that to someone else

Robin, we're going to call the surgery center when they re-open on Tuesday. I don't think it's worth going to their emergency care.

I would guess they would re-sell the plot. Real estate in California is at a premium!

The color sounds beautiful. Any pictures you can post?

Take care!

Keep us updated on Holly's progress Ann.

I will take some pictures for you, maybe after I get the room back together which might not be for a bit.

Hi all! Wasn't sure how to reply to graves/remains, dog & painting.

:grouphug: Got HUGS tho! :grouphug:

Robin, that color sounds great!

Ann~ pet Holly for me and in babytalk (also how I talk to dogs) tell her I hope she feels better soon!

Morning Kim and PD :sunny:

Ann, how is Holly this morning.

I took a good look at my newly painted room last night and decided that I really should do another quick coat.

If you don't look really close at it, it looks great but I think an extra coat will make all the difference.

So today that is what I will do.

Then I will be off looking for some new bedding to go with the new colour:thumbsup2

Have a great holiday everyone.

Hello everyone!....Remember me?

I have been soo busy with the job, the house, and the soon to be trip...that I have been MIA...even on facebook...:guilty:

:eek:We have ONLY 11 days until We're on the plane to Maui:cool1:
We are very excited, also a little nervous...about the plane part...

We leave Binghamton at 6:00AM...and dont get to Maui until 3:45PM Maui time...which is 9:45PM Pa. time...:faint: :faint:

Ann,
The cake turned out beautifully..:thumbsup2
I soo glad it all worked out even with the heat....

I'm sorry to hear about Hollydog....I hope she will recover quickly...I would get her an E-collar so she cant lick at the stitches...Most dogs will lick at stitches even if they are not lickers..Its how they try to heal themselves...
We sell a lot of the E-collars at work...the people that don't buy them tend to have to come back and pay more then it would have cost them for the collar, to fix what the dog undid by licking... hopefully no damage was done. I'm sure she will be fine...

Robin,
The colors you picked sound very nice!...When we painted our den dark red, it took:scared1: three coats..for a complete :3dglassescoverage...

Cally,
Good work on the weight loss!:thumbsup2...
I have gained back about 10 lbs. of the loss I had..Its getting harder and harder to keep the LBs. off...I don't seem to be able to eat much of anything at all any more...I am living on fruits and veggies mostly...but don't lose.. and then if I eat even a little of something not so great for me I gain!....Its crazy. It seems the older I get the harder it is!..:sad2:
Well I also don't have much time to walk anymore ..so that's may have something to do with it:confused3 too....

DU,
You new LR makeover sounds nice!....

Well the family just drove up the driveway...So I better go...

Hey to everyone else:wave2:

I hope you all are having a great Labor day. pixiedust:

Hi everyone!

You guys are SO sweet! Holly is doing pretty good today. Still in pain (that's to be expected). The stitch hasn't gotten any worse and the incision is still together....so I think we're okay.

PD ~ Holly said hello and thanks for the pet!

Betsy ~ We have a no-lick-um collar for Holly, but it seems to be too traumatic for her to wear...she just stands there and shakes. We put it on for about 45 minutes and it was awful.

Robin ~ I bet the 2nd coat will look fab. I can't wait to see the room!

Today I made bruschetta (for dinner, the tomatoes are soaking in the fridge) macaroni salad and panini's for lunch (turkey, swiss, tomatoes, lettuce & a herbed mayo, nicely pressed/grilled). Tonight we're going to chow down on bruschetta and I'm making marinara sauce for pasta. Lots of cooking today!

Ya'll take care!
