been way too long since my last post. Lotsa stuff going on.
Right now me & Elvis are sitting in the car in the parking lot of my fathers podiatrist office....listening to Howard Stern. His quest is Quentin taratino....small world. Lol
Anyhow.....Conrats to Crusin & her new car. Good luck to Cal & her moles. And beautiful pics from kimmie.... still dint view the videos will do so today.

Dad will have his catarac surgery on Thursday.

Got some great news....this is where it pays to rent....I am getting a total Kitchen makeover

Anyhoooooo Yes getting all new appliances (except Fridge...that is my own) new counters, new floor. Getting new carpets & new flooring all downstairs (upsatirs was done 3 years ago). Cool huh! Especially since it wont cost me (other than Tips) a penny, and all I have to do is move furniture around.

Sorry I've not been on. I got soaked in Disney, then got a bit of a head cold.

Kim - the kids are adorable and your daughter looks beautiful in her skating get-up!

DU - the new furniture is great.....worth the wait?! My DH has a chair he feels the same way about. I try to steal it as often as possible!

Hi TW - I hope all goes smoothly with your great niece/nephew. Let us know!

Cally - any word on your mole-i-ness? We're thinking of you. I had 10 removed in one sitting. Fortunately, they were all good - one was suspicious, but they caught it in time. I looked like I had been in a fight. The doc did the same thing to me that he did to you....shocking, ain't it?

Well, after seeing "Julie & Julia" I'm inspired to cook from Julia Child's cookbook. Let me tell you ~ that woman knew what she was talking about when it comes to food. I made a pot of soup and it was amazing...food magic! Tonight I made butter poached chicken breasts with a cream sauce. The way she does her sauces is there is just enough for the meal - not too much, so you're not getting a ton. Anyway, it was even better than the soup. Tender, juicy and incredibly flavorful. I'll have to see what else I'm gonna make this week.

Another hot and humid day here today.

Liz came home from camp on Friday and now is packing up to leave for school.

We are moving all of her major bedroom stuff tomorrow afternoon.

Rick and I are leaving on Wednesday until Sunday.

Going to visit a friend who moved away who just happens to be along the path to our next airplane competition

The new car is great. I like driving it, floats on air

I like your new furniture DU. I hope you all enjoy sitting on it.

All of your upgrades sound like they will be nice too. Not having to put out the money is the best part though.

We took the twins to salt springs to play in the falls on Sunday..I took pics ...as soon as I get a chance Ill post...

We have booked a Kayak/snorkel tour with Maui Eco tours.
Its the only tour thing we are doing..

So yesterday Mike and I took the Kayaks to the lake and practiced rolling them and getting in and out from the water...It was fun..But I'm a little sore today..Its not an easy thing to do. I did alright once I got the hang of it tho...

They Look great though..and the skating I loved...I enjoy watching skating. One of the only sports I like to watch.. You DD did a very nice routine.

Betsy - it's nice to see you posting! I can't believe it's only a month until you leave for Hawaii! Take lots of pics for us....

Robin - have a great time on your trip. Are you taking the new car?

I spent a quiet day today. Made another recipe from Julia Child's cookbook. I made the potato & spinach gratin. It was (again) delicious. DH is totally digging the new recipes.

We've got a recorded football game on and we're going to read and relax tonight. Hollydog visits the vet tomorrow. They're going to x-ray her from her hips to her paws. She's been limping and can't determine if it's arthritis in her hips or knees, or if she requires surgery or if she just sprained her leg. I think it might be the latter because she is SO much better. I sure do hope so.

Wow! I can't believe it's been 24 hours since anyone posted! Sorry, I've been MIA!

Betsy - your pics are great and the falls look amazing! The grandkiddos - naturally - are adorable! I can't believe you're less than a month to Hawaii.

Robin - I hope you're having a great time on your trip!

DU, TW, PD, Kim, CADZ, SWTHD, SA, nsalz, BMSis and the gang....everyone all right?

I've been to the doctor with Holly doggie and she's scheduled for surgery on 9/3. She has a torn doggie ACL and a "trick" knee cap. It keeps slipping out of it's socket and the torn ACL makes her shin bone twist around. It's about a 10 week recovery, but it should be much better for her.

I'm headed to Disney with my sister on Sunday. I'll be spending the night with her tomorrow, all day at Disney and spending the night again on Sunday night. I'll come home Monday afternoon, pick up the cakes (my friend is storing them in her freezer) and start filling & frosting them Tuesday afternoon. I still have the grooms cake to make. So...if you don't hear from me, I'll be doing cakes and the wedding is Saturday. Then after the wedding, I'm headed to Disney for 3 nights for a solo trip. So, I may be MIA again for about a week.

I've been under the weather since Wed. Today was coughing, sneezing, fever, etc. Missed a grammar school reunion tonight. Napped earlier tonight which is why I'm up now but, I'm getting groggy again.

Just been stoopid busy
Work
Meeting my friend Louis when he dropped off his kid at college in NY, Pop had his catarac surgery on thursday. All is fine
But on Wednesday when i called to ask a question about his eye drops...THEY INFORMED ME THEY CANNCELLED THE OPERATION....AGAIN!
It was allllllllllllllllll their fault that they screwed up. I spent the whole day wednesday going CRAZY on the phone.

Needless to say from Monday am to Friday pm I literally had about 9 hours total sleep!!! Then Saturday I went to NYC to meet up with louie & his son.

Louie had sent me all the kids stuff, and I drove it to his dorm. Where we were to meet...only Screwy louie (who is also cheaper the hell) didnt have his Cell phone turned on.

Just lotsa agravation. Top off by my old boss, the one from 4 weeks ago calling me into work saturday night. Everyone called in sick. I couldnt make it. But things are Bad here real bad. There are battles brewin all over the place.

Back at work now...till thursday am....and then have to finish up James Dentist (they are dropping his Health Coverage thru my job....) Getting a new Living room rug. And dads Drs...I am gonna collapse this coming weekend.

SA ~ my two nephews are in the marching band. It truly is amazing how fast they catch on. One is in the drum line and the other is a tuba player..

I just returned from Disney. Surprisingly, we were able to do a BUNCH of the Magic Kingdom for a Sunday in the summer. Really enjoyed the new Hall of Presidents.

I've mopped and am doing laundry. I still need to dust. Then I'm off to my friends to pick up the cake. My parents are arriving from their summer away this afternoon. Susan & hubby leaves TN tomorrow, a cousin is arriving on Thursday and our DD & family are arriving on Friday. Only Susan, hubby & DD & family are staying at the house.....

In the mean time, I need to attend another shower, my side of the family is getting together for dinner on Thursday, the night before wedding family hoopla AND do the wedding cake! *sigh* I really am loving it.....what's better than family and cake?

Gotta run, floors are dry!
