Agh!! I went to buy tickets and the price doubled on meh!!!

The only sites that have tix now may as well be scalpers. The $45 seats are going for $90

I bought tix to go see the Odd Couple in Woodbury. A guy on my Magicmeet staff is part of their troupe not to mention the tix were only $15

Hi everyone!

I've been busy cooking. Monday we're making lasagna (the sauce is made and we'll make the pasta and assemble - scratch lasagna noodles are the best!) and we'll make Bacon Sugared Pecans - they're yummy!

We have more dinner rolls made (appx 150 individual rolls) about the same amount of carrot, parmesan & collard rice timbales, 3 cheese logs (made with onion, sundried tomatoes & apricots - sound weird, but they are amazing - rolled in pecans) and Sausage, date, nut balls. All that stuff freezes well and are frozen solid.

All the cake layers & 2 cheesecakes are in the freezer as well.

I wired the flowers for the cake and set it up to see what it would look like (using cake pans for height) and it looks like it's going to be beautiful!

This evening, DH & I started a load of laundry and when the dryer buzzed, I opened the door to the laundry room and water came flooding out! Our laundry room had about 4" of water in it. It leaked in the garage, all over the carpet and some got under the baseboards and got in the dining room & our closet....OIY! What a mess! The good news is the washer seems fine, no one had an unfortunate run in with electricity & water and it's cleaned up.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLO TK'ers.

Been busy .....But gotta tell ya a LIFES MOST EMBARRESSING moment story.

I took BIGMOUTH James (the key here is BIGMOUTH) to get his hair styled today. Anyhooooooo The woman, late 40's, in the chair next to him had her hair done...EXACTLY LIKE CRUELLA DEVILLE, Black & White! She even sorta looked like her. I was glad I didnt bring Elvis with us.
I am sure she thought she was trendy looking..but
Anyhoo they were all talking about music & Rap artist, I knowing NOTHING about Rap kept me mouth shut.
Cruella mentioned that her DH LOVES FIDDY CENT and travels all over the country following his concerts. (Whatever...too each his own....)

James (who is 15 and SHOULD know better) turns to her and says"Dont you think your DH is too old to be following Fiddy Cent all around the country"????

I thought she was gonna get up smack him. I couldnt wait to get out of there.

Went food shoppin, picked up luggage from Storage, went to Mom's friends Birthday Party. Then FINALLY went to see Angels & Demons.

Making Pot Roast in the CrockPot today. I am already sick of BarBq food. Made plans to go to the Beach when in Florida.

Hi DISUNC, here I am.

It was a busy weekend here for me.

Took the trailer to the local model airplane field again for the weekend.

We went there late afternoon on Friday.

Saturday was our annual dance recital, so back into town for most of the day.

Then after the recitals were over back out to the trailer and just getting back home now.

Managed to get myself a bit of a sunburn this afternoon even though it was cloudy most of the day.

Ann, sorry to hear about your flood. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.

Kim, onesday is when your countdown timer shows all ones.... for example..... one month, one week, one day until your trip. You can do the same for twos if you are so inclined.

It's been so long since you went to visit Mickey. My gosh, I remember sending out all those postcards to the kids before you left to surprise them

That was great fun.

Looks like I might be coming to Chicago at some point this week.

It's been so long since you went to visit Mickey.

3 years isn't the longest gap I've had. This will be trip 7. Went in 91, 93, 96, 01, 02, 06, and now 09. So, 5 years was the biggest gap, waiting for Kelly to get to 3-1/2yo.

My gosh, I remember sending out all those postcards to the kids before you left to surprise them

That was great fun.

Kelly still has ALL the postcards that everyone 'surprised' her with!

Looks like I might be coming to Chicago at some point this week.

WHEN?!?!?! WHERE?!?!?! I've got some time this week. Last day of school and work is Thurs. LET ME KNOW ASAP!!! PLEASE!!!


Well, Kelly has strep and I have sinusitis and bronchitis. We both have antibiotics and I have 2 cough meds as well. She's already feeling better, my cough is getting worse, in the sense it's 'productive' now, with the meds. Still coughing up a lung tho. We'll be staying home Monday, one more day. She's pretty mad about that.

Hi everyone else! DP, sewer, SWTHD, SA, TW, PD, nsalz, Cally and the whole gang! (Did I miss anyone?)

I spent the day at my friends house making a ton of lasagna and freezing it. We made the pasta sauce a week ago and froze it, so it was time. I make my own pasta and roll it out for the lasagna noodles and it turns out really silky. Anyway, I made 4 individual ones (used a biscuit cutter & served in a ramekin) and they LOVED it! So - we now have 2 pans of lasagna in the freezer!

We had some left over pasta, so I put it through the spaghetti cutter and had spaghetti tonight for dinner with homemade noodles. It was really good - better than I expected it to be. DH loved it.

We also made about 5 lbs of bacon sugared pecans. It's a favorite and will be on tables for the wedding rehearsal and the wedding. They store for about 3 weeks really well.

Tomorrow, I'm making cakes for the library opening in July and freezing them, so I'll be busy......

Did a overhaul & cleaned EVERYTHING on the deck today. Whew too much crappolla. It was FINALLY sunny all day. But it looks good. Went and got my glasses tightened.....How they stretched I will never know. Made left over Meatbalss & sausauge & sauce...allthough I did make NEW spaghetti for dinner.

Thats about it.

It did come out good! Didn't take any pics...still trying to figure out my new camera. The instructions are on CD...too much back & forth. Wait till I get to work & print out all 66 pages. I STILL need paper.
