actually you would have to go back and read many thousands of pages to catch up

This thread has been in existence since 2003

Over the years it has evolved, people come and people go but we are just a bunch of internet friends who come here to keep in touch with each other.

Feel free to stick around if you like. We are always happy to have new victims....... errrrr I mean "friends" stop in.

No really we are a very friendly non judgemental group. Come and stay as long as you like.

ummmm, ok, I guess I'll stay, as long as you promise to be gentle!!! I think it's great to be able to feel like part of a "community" if if part of that community is the wacky "abducted by aliens" lady across the street, or the grumpy curmudgeon down the block, it's what makes the world go 'round right?

I'm Betsy, its just me and my husband in my house. We have two children/men
and they have given us 14 grandchildren. We have a lot of reasons to go to Disney World.

It would make me crazy to not be able to get on the internet. I use it for everything. I hope you can get connected ASAP.

I am Robin.

I have two children also a son who is soon to be 28 who just got married..... at Disney in May. I also have a daughter who is 24.

Neither one of them live with us now, and we have no grandchildren.

We just recently bought a house in the country and are sort of in transition at the moment.

Oh yes, I am also Canadian, so if you find a few odd "u's" thrown into my words that is why. I usually filter them for other parts of the DIS boards but here I am just who I am and they still love me anyway

I'm Suzanne, I have 3 kids, DD16 from my first marriage, and DS5 and DD3 from my (almost) 2nd. (haven't really set a date yet, but we refer to each other as DH/DW, just a piece of paper right?)
I am currently stuck at home after an unfortunate accident at work. I have been on WC since July 5th, and I am going stark raving mad at times. I am mentally ready to go back to work, physically... not so much so, but maybe soon.
I spend most of my days lurking here and strategically "planning" my next Disney trip, even though I have NO CLUE when I will be able to go.

LOL...Well I just read this and see I made a mistake. I dont have 14 grands...I have 15....I forgot to count my newest Grandchild just born. Poor lil Mark...Already getting lost in the shuffle... That's Ok...Give him some time and he'll be just as attention getting as the rest of them...I'm sure.

We went to Olive Garden, and it was good. We went with Mikes DB and DSIL, for our monthly night out. I had a mixed grill. ie: chicken, and steak with grilled veggies. It was yummy..and not too bad for me actually.

We also have a new member of our household... I have acquired Julia's ferret, Leonidas, or Leo as we call him. He is very cute, and Albert does surprisingly well with him...No nip attempts yet. We are keeping a close eye out when we have Leo out though.

Well I have to get back to my article... It hasn't been an easy one to do.. It is now on its third rewrite, but I think it will be a goodie when its done. I'm hoping to have it published by Friday, but ya just never know.

Hi Suzanne and welcome to the group. Just what we need, some new blood to liven things up around here

I've been busy busy busy. Still trying to get everything moved out of the old house and into the new.

Have been in fairly close contact with the new people moving into our house and they are great. I'm so glad that they are the ones moving in, although they have some interesting ideas on painting this place. We have actually given them permission to start while we still own the house. It will be interesting to watch the old house tranform into someone else's dream home.

Also trying to get everything in order to head out on our vacation tomorrow.

Suzanne, I am the resident "cruiser" on this thread. We are heading out tomorrow for a cruise on the Norwegian Pearl on Sunday.

So, I will be gone for a week or so but have no fear........ I will return

Betsy~ Do you have snow? We are supposed to get 7.5 inches of snow tomorrow. I LOVE SNOW! However, I am concerned because there are still loots of leavers on the trees here and that wet heavy snow is sure to cause limbs to come down. I'm expecting power outages too!

Yes, we are expecting up to 10 inches. Its snowing pretty hard right now. It is suppose to be a wet snow and they were talking about the possible outages, and trees down.


Not sure when Robin gets back. I was wondering if her cruise was going to be effected by weather too.

Its all so crazy anymore.

Well I am off to check my fire. Its one of the good things about cold weather...a nice cozy fire.

Hi ladies.

I'm so sorry that I have not been around much lately. I still do not have any internet at home and when I get near to a computer I don't have time to all the things that I want to do

Our cruise was great except for the diversion because of the hurricane. WE ended up going to Nassau where we were parked right next to the Disney Dream all day long. Well worth the diversion

I'm really hoping that we get our internet straightened out soon. I'm going through major withdrawals here LOL.

No snow here yet although there was a lot of it blowing around last night. None of if stuck though, so I'm thankful for that.
