So far we have the brrrrrrrrrr

but not the snow.

I hope it stays that way because I don't want anything to get between me and that airplane on Friday

Liz is the one who is getting the snow. She is an hour away and lives in the "snow belt" They have gotten a ton of snow in the past 24 hours and even more to come.

Hope they are all equipped to handle it because she has to make it here on Friday morning to go cruising too.

Liz was away overnight and just got back about 2 hours ago.

She said she had a 4 foot snow drift in her driveway to shovel.

At least she has a very short driveway, only about the length of her car and not very wide either.

Mike got his first paycheck, so we went out last night to a restaurant we haven't gone to in two years as its kind of pricey, but the food is GREAT...We really enjoyed it! I had a mixed grill with shrimp, scallops, and steak. Mike had the rack of lamb...Yum!

Well I am off today, but will be out doing my Christmas shopping for Mike...

Oh it must have felt so great to have that paycheck at long last. Both of your dinners sound wonderful, love shrimp, scallops, steak and lamb!

I have a bit more shopping to do but I am close. I hjave to get something for my secretary, my godson and oh yeah my husband! He is sooo difficult to buy for!

Hiya PD,
It was a great meal, I love it there, and have been missing the place for quite some time..Its a special occasion place, though...pretty pricey...wont go there often...

I still have a few things to get for Christmas...

But I have Mike's done...So we will shop tomorrow, and get the rest done together.

I still have to food shop too, but we only do Christmas morning, So thats just breakfast stuff.....sausage/egg casserole, doughnuts, bagels, croissants, fruit...that sort of stuff, and it's buffet style, so I don't have to worry about seating everyone...
Then we may have friends over for the evening, So a small something to pick at for munching...I'm thinking wings, and maybe cocktail meatballs, cheese fondue, that sort of thing.

It has been very slow at work, so they have been calling me off... , and they have told me not to worry about coming in til next Tues....Soo its good Mike is working now...
I'm sure after the holidays, it will pick up again, a lot of people can't afford pet care around Christmas, they have so much other things to have to pay for.

Well I'm off to get some things for chicken soup, I am taking care of some of my DGC tonight, So need a good hot meal that will feed a bunch of hungry mouths...LOL
