Morning Tk'ers....took me a while to catch up on this week's pages....seems i only have so little time these days for DISBOARDS:sad1: BUT SO looking forward to boarding the Magic 3 weeks from today!!:woohoo:

Thx for Xmas cards Robin & Ann - mine finally went out this week...even though they were done before TG - had to wait to get Xmas stamps from our postal guy but kept forgetting to ask him....i HATE to go to the PO:lmao:

so i am getting a Wii for Xmas along WITH the Wii fit:yay: ...gift from my boss - he is JUST THE BEST - gets me whatever i would like!!!

hope you're having a great day / wkend - i'm going to start packing for that cruise today....but can't do that while DH is still in bed....so i have at least another 3 hours to kill...been up for 2 already....

HUH?????:confused3  :confused3  :confused3

If you are gonna be away..why ja put Decorations up in the first place?

Because we had a Christmas party on Tuesday!

My favs are

Sci Fi Diner in Disney Studios. Their Monte Cristo sandwiches & its a FUN place.

Best fish sticks I ever had were in Columbia Harbor House (MK- Right across from The Haunted Mansion. You HAVE TO SIT UPSTAIRS over the walkway between Fantasyland & Liberty Square...grat quiet place to people watch...and ZONE OUT!:thumbsup2

I also love the Coral Reef in Epcot...the food is hit or miss there...BUT the AMBIENCE is Disney at its Finest!

And I gotta say NUTIN but NUTIN beats the Chicken Alfredo at the POP Century!!!! And I mean NUTIN!

Now I am hungry!

I had NO IDEA that the SciFi had Monte Cristo Sandwiches. I love them in Blue Bayou at Disneyland.

Columbia House is my favorite restaurant in the Magic Kingdom - they have an amazing hummus sandwich with broccoli slaw & tomatoes. PLUS they make it in a separate kitchen so the seafood doesn't bother me (my sisters wipe the tables & chairs down before I sit...aren't they nice?) and we sit in the same are (but who doesn't try to....it is the best seating area!)

I don't even go into the Coral Reef - TOO much seafood!

I've not been to the Pop Century yet. DU - I think you and I are food twins!

Also since you quoted me, I realize I wrote the wrong description on the dish...it's a pork loin with goat cheese POLENTA...not ravioli! OIY! I had the goat cheese ravioli on the brain. Going back to correct the original!

I think waiting for Christmas stamps is the scrap booker in you! I would have used the plain ol' liberty bell!

Nice boss....!

ha...you're probably right - never thought about that...even my everyday stamps are "DISNEY" stamps...

oh yeah - he is really wonderful & VERY generous!!!!

Thx for Xmas cards Robin

I'm glad that your card has arrived Brenda.

I'm with Ann. I just used ordinary old everyday stamps when I sent mine out:confused3

Unfortunately my boss (well sort of) is not the best. He gets me NOTHING for Christmas (or my birthday or anniversary etc. ). Too bad that it's my husband:mad:

That's okay because believe me, he pays for it in the end:angel: :teeth:

I have control over all the money in the house ;)

Wow that sounds amazing. I'm hoping to work for Pixar some day. I thought maybe working for Disney might give me a slight advantage later on when I try to get a job there. Maybe not. At least i'll say I got to work for Disney :goodvibes

Hi Threadkillers!

Wow! Did Tom and I sleep in today! We didn't wake up until 10am! We NEVER sleep past 7:30!

Anyway, we went to breakfast - although we should call it brunch, dropped off Christmas presents at my parents house (they're traveling and when they return, we'll be ready to travel). I started a load of laundry and have football on now!

Robin - it's cold here today, too. The high is only going to reach 58! But it's nice and sunny.

I hope ya'll are having a nice day!

Well, it's really cold here today Ann.

I would love to have your temperatures today.

It is 21º with the windchill (and boy is it windy) the temperature feels like 9º.:scared1:

Wanna trade with me  Please:rolleyes1

This may be the first January coming up in 10 years that we have not gone south to get away from the winter for a bit. :guilty:

Kind of depressing us but what can ya do:confused3

Yesterday we had a significant amount of snowfall, enough to cover the ground by a couple of inches.

Duster has never seen so much snow before in her short life (born last February and not allowed outside alone until the beginning of September).

She just had a blast yesterday. :rotfl2:

She was outside running and burrowing under and sliding thru the snow on the deck yesterday afternoon.

It was hilarious. She was picking it up with her front paws and eating it

So cute.

I bet the novelty will wear off real quickly though ;)

You win...it's colder where you are! I'm sorry you're not coming down in January - maybe February?...

I'd love to see a picture of Duster in the snow if you have them!

Stay warm!

Wow, I think it might actually rain in California today! :rotfl: Maybe that explains why I woke up at 11:30 :scared:

Vanessa always thought she might work for Pixar one day as well, but she's really loving her job at DIA...she's in the art archive dept - so she catalogues ALOT of the original art pieces...she also had designed one of the 6ft Mickey statues that they had for Mickey's 75th BD....

Wow that must be amazing! What a job :lovestruc I was thinking about applying for an art related PI after the CP. We'll see how things go :)

That is one contest that I was not hoping on winning Ann:rotfl2:

I'm still holding out some hope for a trip to warmer climates at some point this winter. Don't know if we will manage it but there is always room for hope.

Unfortunately it was dark outside when Duster went out to play.

I tried to get some pictures but the darn outside light wouldn't work properly for some reason:confused3

Maybe I can get her the next time she decided to play in the snow.

It looks just like a toddler has been trailing around everywhere on the deck:rotfl: So cute.

Brenda, I was at Disney when all those statues were in front of the Magic Kingdom. It was sure cool to see.

I know that there is one of them in the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. I saw it there a couple years ago when I went for a show.
