So sorry about the loss of your childhood landmark DU.
But ...... somehow I'm thinking the math does not add up here

Hello there. I am also from a Chatham, but across the ocean from you in Canada

I've been to a Vanderbilt mansion too but it was in South Carolina (maybe North Carolina??) I thinkOr am I remembering the wrong family name?
Right family. Frederick Vanderbilt had his summer home in Hyde Park New York, his brother George had the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC ....way bigger than the puny (read this as huge to me) estate in Hyde Park![]()
The Hyde Park house was only used for a few weeks every year!
Other family members had mansions in Newport, RI. I try to keep up on my Vanderbilt history, because they are the ancestors of ANderson Cooper
and I am sure some ay he will invite me to dine with him and I want to be prepared!

It was a long trip back last night and I drove most of it because I was with 2 guys who can't keep their eyes open after it gets dark outside![]()
To get to Montreal it was an 8 1/4 hour drive without stops. We did it in two days on the way there because we left kinda late and came back all in one trip.
Got home last night about 1am.
I hope you had a great time. Bet you're exhausted today! How far are you from Tronto?
Got our cruise documents this morning![]()

! It rivals the Theory of Relativity, comined with a dash of extrastentialism, and a bit of good old fashion Bull.
I was thinking the same thing last night...that would have made DU a negative 30??? when he rode the Steeplechase his last time![]()

Welome Home!![]()
Its DISUNC MATH! It rivals the Theory of Relativity, comined with a dash of extrastentialism, and a bit of good old fashion Bull.

Good Morning Threadkillers!
LM83 - Hi there! How's life across the pond? Lovely here in Florida. Temps in the high 80's and I'm wearin' shorts (again!). Just LOOOOOVE Florida!
) tries to hide in the strangest places when she's ascared. Today she wedged herself into a shoe rack I have on the floor
She likes hiding in the tub too, so I put a towel down in there and she's been ok. I'd have to lock her in the bathroom if it were still thundering just to keep Penny safe while I am out. John found her wedged in between our dressers once and she seems to like to go behind my desk or the tv.I haven't been on much but managed to kill one today too...
the storms seem to have passed, which is a good thing because Penny (our Shi'tzu for our newbie) tries to hide in the strangest places when she's ascared. Today she wedged herself into a shoe rack I have on the floor

Oh bless her, do you have a photo?
