Do ya all remeber the thread I started about a year ago, about my neigbors son...and his friends taking pictures.

Well everything seems to be true. "Not that there is anything wrong with that."
anyhoooooooooooooooooooooooo the son had his male friend 'sleep over" last night...WITH THE BLINDS OPEN & THE LIGHTS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they are 16 or 17!

In other words...I'm living on Brokeback Mountain.

Sorry just trying to picture you out there and discovering the scene...it just cracks me up.

By the way...sorry you have totake the fish oil tabs...my husband had to do that for a while and wel just lets say....brush your teeth alot or use mouthwash.

What's the breakdown of who's got what now?

I've spent the last couple days seeing if I can get back into school for the fall semester. Unemployment's tuition waiver is a great program but they make up for it in all the running around I have to do to get qualified

Job search is still spotty, there were more big layoffs in our area...

the classes I want to take this semester should help me more specifically in the job market. There are jobs around here for "technical writers" and BCC has a class just for that. I also want to get into a portraiture class and learn more about lighting and large format photography. The other classes on my list are editing for tv and intro to Auto CAD (computerized drafting)...I hafta keep my fingers crossed and see what classes are available when I can finally register. One class on my list has already been closed. It was a on the job class in the Media realm.

We'll see in about a week where I'm going with this. I can register the day I get back from NC if I can get qualified

Hi Kim! I'm glad to see you back on the boards. It's been a month of Sundays!

DU - I'm glad your check up went okay. Did you get your eyes checked after your mis-adventure? I get to take cholesterol pills...being allergic to fish negates the Omega 3 pills. They also put Omega 3 in Horizon Organic Milk. If you're a milk drinker that might help. If you're allergic to fish...avoid it! I'm glad your mother had a shining moment.

PD - Enjoy DC. Tom and I were lucky enough to live about 50 minutes from DC for a total of 5 years. While we didn't go often - we played tourist every time family visited. What a beautiful city.

CADZ - I was sad to see my car hit high mileage, too. How is the walking going?

Well, I have some BIG news! The Sisters are coming! The Sister's are coming! Susan and her DH are coming on Wednesday. He's leaving Thursday and Susan is staying for several days. Thursday, Mary is coming and we're gonna have a slumber party! I'm going to make Mexican food to go with our karaoke. We're having stuffed poblanos, quesidillas, scratch salsa & scratch guacamole! Woo Hoo! Then we're gonna karaoke til the crack of dawn! We also decided - during the day - to see Mama Mia! I am so excited I can't sit still!

Gotta go watch pre-season football Ya'll!

Morning all!!

Ann - WOW - how FUN for all of you!!!! my 3 sisters never come to CA to visit me - at least not too often - the 3 of them were all here 9 yrs when DD graduated...hoping they all come again next June for DS' graduation....but that's such a busy time we don't get a slumber party & karaoke
The walking is going well thanks - this wkend is the longest walk(s) we have as far as training - 18 miles tomorrow & 15 on Sunday....1 month from today till the big event. I'm really ready for it to get here....2 months from today we go to Disneyland - just a quick weekend trip to tide us over till our our cruise & WDW in Dec/Jan


YES DU - a HAPPY 08/08/08 to you too....now it's just wrong that the Olympic opening ceremonies are starting at 7:30 tonite & not at 8.....DUH!!!!

He says they're having a big outdoor bbq type event in Philly to Celebrate the opening of the Olympics in China~afterwards we are supposed to go see our friend's band play. It's right up the road from home and apparantly a bunch of our friends are also going *and* Rose is supposed to stop in after her Phillies Game~

I am excited for you and your sister get together. In my family we are all fortunate to live close enough that we get together often. Don't know what I would do without my sisters!!! PD especially....she just makes me laugh so hard sometimes I have to make frequent trips to the powder room!

TW - Have fun in China town! DH and I have spent the day relaxing. Well, almost - I've cleaned the house and then took a nap!

nsalz - The sisters used to live close together. Mary is about 45 minutes away and Susan lived about 5 minutes. However, with her buying land in Tennessee, our get togethers are going to be once or twice a year. That will make them more special, though!

Tonight I made some really fantastic chicken. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs marinated in Soy, Garlic, Onion, Lime and Crushed Red Peppers, then grilled! I served them with a balsamic vinegarette (good 20 year old basalmic....sweet and tasty!).

Morning all....
Im doing great!...
Just doing alot of outdoor work....

Mike took yesterday off....
Did more clearing, for our play area....
and then we had my DSis and DBIL over for dinner last night...
I made pork chops with a side of home made pasta...
Mixed barries, over a slice of pound cake, with whipped cream for dessert!

It was yummy!....

More work for us today....
and then a bapt. tomorrow in the AM for Kolbe, and a birthday party in the PM for Rita(Kolbe's DSis)She will be 3YO.
