Luckymommyx2: Thank you for the compliment re: the little 4 line poetry. It's not that hard and it comes in handy occasionally - takes a little practice, but eventually it's almost as easy as writing normal sentences. Before you know it, you should be able to toss off 4 lines in 20 seconds. Comes in handy sometimes when you're trying to be original in writing something on a birthday card etc. I've even done special (longer) ones for retirements at the office etc. (although those are harder and actually take a bit of work). Give it a try sometime.

Happy weekend!
Sharby, I used to write poems for birthdays and other occasions too. It's been quite a while since I've written one. I hope my daughter saved the few I've written for her, they were pretty good!
It does take some time and effort to write the longer ones but I think people really appreciate them. Thanks for reminding about it. I'm going to start working on one for my husband, our 25th anniversary is coming up!

LuckymommyX2: I like that - it's great! I encourage you to keep working at it - people really appreciate it! You've already grasp the concept of putting the person's name in there - so that they know it was written especially for them! Keep going with it!

What a great idea! I'm sure your husband is going to appreciate the special poem with all the personal references worked in.

Have you been to DisCon before? It's not really the kind of thing that interests me but it looks like everyone has a good time.

I'm going for a nice swim in the pool now!

Hey everyone!

I hope you've all been having a nice day, and doing your share of thread-killing, hehe.

I just got back from having my favorite meal at Red Lobster. It was delicious as usual, but I am afraid I won't be returning to that particular location again..hmmph!

They are doing a total remodel on the place, which looks to be for the sole purpose of squeezing in more tables and chairs!
I don't like it...the atmophere (if there was really any before), is now gone.
Bigger is NOT always better!

::::wonders if Bunchkin will be offering us some snackypoos later on as we read the words of our fine poets here ( hint, hint to all)::::

It's an April Saturday night,
and things at Red Lobster just aren't right.

"Add more 4 seaters!"
"Squeeze in more eaters!"

Wishydoo won't return to this certain site,
She'll go elsewhere for her seafood delight!

When I eat my fish I do it right.

A little tatar sauce and a squirt of lemon.

'Snackypoos from Bunchkin' is all I hear.
I make them, I bake them, I serve them with cheer.

First were complaints of cholesterol.
Then napkins and Wet Ones to destick us all.

I made breakfast and lunch and dinner too.
And then they were eaten by all of you.

Some kind soul offered to cook or treat me.
But yet no dinner invitation has been sent me.

I mentioned I didn't care when or where.
But still no food has been served to me here.

I guess you all think that my name is Emeril.
You've eaten my meals as I've made serveral.

I've set the table with candles to make you feel cozy.
And as I cook I offen sing along to Bon Jovi.

I thought you were my friends, I guess I was wrong.
I haven't even been offered a Ding Dong.

I came to this tread because I am a killer.
And used pictures of food as a post filler.

I hope you all know that I'm just joking.
And can laugh at the fun that I'm poking.

I'll go and search for some yummy grub.
