I hear ya Robin~

on all accounts...

I too lived for my kids. The biggest change I've made so far is going out of my comfort zone in looknig for that new career. I've always thought about working in the city...never did it cause I wanted/needed to be right there for my kids. Both big jobs I had were within walking distance of our home.

Send Luck to Liz for me, it's a huge move for them -
I wish her all the happiness in the world in her new life~

Does Alex stay home anymore?

 to Robin!

Colleen~ how are you getting along with DS being gone for a short while now?

Hi Threadkillers!

Robin - I hope the biopsy comes back with good results and I'm sorry you missed your hip-hop recital. I suffer from stage fright, so if that happened....everyone would know I did it on purpose - even if I didn't!

I had lunch with Betsy/DalPal her DH and the grand daughters. They were SO adorable and we had a nice time. The kids are very excited to go to WDW, so I tried not to keep them too long.

Since I forgot my camera (sorry) Betsy will post the Cracker Barrel Rocking Chair picture when she returns....she looked really good. She always did...I've not seen her since the cruise, but she looked great! We had a fun time.

I just got up from a nap - after spending 2 days playing in the sun with my sister with little-to-no sleep and then getting up at 5:45 to get ready to meet Besty, I was tired!

I hope everyone is having a good day!

I am doing fine with it so far...I've been spending part of each day doing some of the work upstairs that I haven't had a chance to cause there was a kid in the room.

We are taking a small part of the top floor for John's collectible stuff and my photographs. John and I also have a six foot walk in closet that's needed some attention for awhile. Not construction, more like decluttering~

It's so quiet here, I am not constantly cleaning up, I'm not fighting anyone for the bathroom or over washer/dryer use...really, it's ok~

I've got a couple of pics to share with ya'll! The first one is my Grand daughter, Emma. This was taken on her 2nd birthday. I guess she was feeling a little sassy...

The second picture is potstickers - after they were done! We had already started to dig in and I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of the amount that I pan fried/steamed. There were a TON! The dipping sauces were wasabi, duck & garlic chill sauce. The salad was tomato & avocado in a garlic vinegarette.

I don't know if I mentioned to you guys that Liz has her job at the summer camp again this year. She will be gone for 8 weeks this summer (starting this Sunday) and Alex will also be there whenever he can, in between finishing off his schooling.

After Liz gets done at summer camp, she is planning on leaving me:worried: Her boyfriend got a job at the Toyota plant about 2 hours from here and she is going to go with him. They have found an apartment they like. I am going with her today to see it.

I will miss her. It will be very quiet around here without her BUT I'm happy for her. It is time that she gets out and starts to live her life. I don't want my kids to waste all of their young and fun years, even if I will miss them terribly.

Now on to the next stage for me. Time to figure out what I want to do with my life after putting it on hold for 25 years for my kids. That is one thing that I definitely will never regret doing though. For me, it was well worth any sacrifices that I had to make.

But it sounds like you have EXTRA ROOM now!!!!:rolleyes1

Does Alex stay home anymore?

Yes he does, actually he is home right now.

He came home from camp because he has to do his paramedic ride alongs in the next week.

He is spending about equal amounts of time at home and at camp this summer.

But when he is home he is usually working 12 hour shifts on the ambulance and driving an hour in each direction to get there and back home again.

So technically he is at home but he's not really here all that much and most of the time he is sleeping.

But it sounds like you have EXTRA ROOM now!!!!:rolleyes1

yup there should be more room and less mess around here, that's for sure.:rotfl:

Ann, Emma is so beautiful. I just love that picture.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with Betsy and her family.

I know that I do everytime that I'm lucky enough to get to see her.

Gooooooooooood Mornin TK'ers!:goodvibes

I got nutin! Hopefully the page will turn on this thread!:confused3

Hello DisUnc! I'm sorry you "got nuttin'". I hope your day is happy....I was going to say more interesting for you, but you know the Chinese curse: "May your life be interesting" which can be very dangerous!

My DM just came by for a visit. Her knee isn't healing as fast as it should and she's looking at another month in the brace. Dad is having more medical problems and they are sending him to an Oncologist. (dang)

Hiya Robin! I hope you're feeling well today. No discomfort from your biopsy site? Make sure you take it easy....go have some fries and use not over doing it as your excuse...in fact, I think that's what I'll do!

I hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Adrian came home last night, but he too came home late and exhausted so I saw him for all of 3 minutes and he went to bed~actually, he stole a comforter off his sister's bed and then went to his ;)

(she is sometimes here less than he is---)

I have some errands to run...I've been cooped up all week so it'll do me some good to get out for a bit...I want to hit a different TJ Maxx today (across the river in Oxford PA.) We also have a couple home projects we need to get done so I'm gonna price some fencing and sink installation. John keeps saying he'll do the work but with him at work 6 days out of 7 I don't see these happening soon :confused3 At least if I price it and it's not too much the work can still get done.

Thanks for the advice Ann.

I did have some fries today;)

My biopsy site is fine, actually it never really did hurt. My pain was mostly in my right shoulder and neck area:confused3

That also seems to have settled down, so I guess I'm pretty much back to normal.

That may or may NOT be a good thing:rotfl2:

I've had a busy day, hope everyone else has had a good one.

I'm here! I've been out a good portion of the day...went to see the new Indiana Jones movie.

DU - cemetary crosses are popular here in the south - especially at an accident site. However, we keep them in a different aisle!

I hope everyone is having a good day. For you Andy:

You're Up-side-down.......
I know

Where is everbody?:confused3

I've been getting ready to kick one kid out of the house this weekend.

I'm also going away for the weekend. Just camping out at our local flying field but it's still getting away.

I'm kinda torn about going because Liz leaves Sunday morning for camp.

This way I won't get to see her before she leaves.

She has lots of things to do including a baby shower out of town tomorrow, so she probably won't really miss me.

I'm going to try to get up to camp sometime to visit with her and Alex if he is there at the time.

Job Fair was a bust today,

I'm gonna go wash my car now...

Sorry about your job fair.

There are better days ahead.

You can count on that.

:wave2: Ann.
