It's just too bad that we are so wide spread. It would be so nice to have someone that I could actually spend some "in person" time with.

I spend a lot of time with my mom since she is alone but sometimes it would be nice to have someone else to hang out with.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hundreds of firefighters are battling a large blaze that broke out on Sunday on a back lot at Universal Studios, site of movie and television production, a spokesman for a neighboring fire department said.

Burbank firefighter David Ortiz said that about 200 firefighters and two helicopters had been deployed to assist the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

A spokesman for the L.A. County Fire Department was not immediately available, but Capt. Frank Reynoso told CNN that at least one explosion had been heard at the scene.

Sorry I was missing this weekend - just recovering and relaxing! DH and I did a Movie Marathon on Sunday (Band of Brothers was playing on History Channel) and spent the rest of the weekend reading and napping.

Wednesday, DH is going in to work for a couple of hours and then taking the rest of the day off. We're going to run a few errands and then go on a lunch date. He informed me that we may not be home for dinner, either! *sigh*

I hope everyone is well - my house is a disaster from cooking all week and ignoring the poor place - if I'm scarce - I'm cleaning!

Well, I've got to scoot....I hope everyone has a great Monday!

I was watching the fire at universal yesterday waiting to see exactly what was affected...today they say the King Kong setup and a large area of the city streets was destroyed.

The ghost whisperer site (the old back to the future set) was in that area too, I wonder if that was hit...here are a few pics of that area from my last trip out there.

The last one shows the type of building their King Kong was set up in...

All your ticker talk reminded me that I had to put in our Cape Cod ticker. The doctor gave my daughter the ok to play in the sand and the ocean when we go. She's not ready yet, but will be by the end of the month! We are letting each of the girls bring a friend this year...cuts down on petty arguments! My oldest decided she didn't want to invite anyone, because she just wants to sit on the beach and read. She doesn't want to entertain! Cape Cod here we come!
