DU - The Wilderness Lodge is BEAUTIFUL and Artists Point is an awesome restaurant. Ft. Wilderness was a lot of fun. They have outdoor movies and set up two campfires in the back and have a smores/popcorn station to buy goodies. It's lots of fun. We enjoyed walking around and enjoying the Disney feel while we camped. When I travel, I try not to get any sort of kitchenette....since I'm the family cook, I make sure that I do NOT do the cooking! Plus, I love to do the fine dining that Disney offers!

You get a coffee pot in all the resorts. If ya really want your microwve popcorn, and you are driving, do what the people on the budget board do and bring your own small microwave.

When I stayed at the GF I used the MW in the snack shop/arcade...of course I was staying in the building next to it - no trudging across the resort

I'm strictly a soda drinker - so the coffee pot doesn't work for me.

As for the microwave - since the sisters and I (plus DH & I when we're on a trip) do the fine dining option, we're never hungry enough to snack.

I don't know if you're using the Disney Dining Plan when you go - I think it's worth every penny and then some....and that's with an annual pass!

I'm currently making favor boxes for my neices graduation reception. I purchased the clear plastic boxes with the ribbons and tags (like for weddings) except I'm going to put her name and Class of 2008 on the tags. I've got to go buy a ton of M&M's now!

No price difference at all...both are 199 @ night!

I am not a big Breakfest eater...gimme a coffe and I am fine.
DD will not work for us...James eats like a bird.
Last year with the DDE card, we ate at least once at a sit down rest everyday...and my total Dining bill wasnt even $350 for the week.

I do BIG meals @ lunch time 1/2 the price...and so easy to get a seat!

I will discuss this with James over the weekend...My little brain cant take making any more decisions!

I guess the Disney Dining doesn't work for you. I'm trying to talk my sisters into the Chef's Table at Victoria & Alberts but they don't want to...not that I blame them $325 per person (that includes wine pairing) is steep to swallow just because your sister wants it! Maybe one day.....

I'm sad to say that I do NOT eat like a bird. I like to cook, I like to eat and (unfortunately) it shows. But DH and I discussed there is nothing like the smell of bread baking in the oven when you come home or other yummies and it's worth a "winter layer".

I'm okay with skipping b'fast. DH HAS to have b'fast every morning. He can't eat a cold breakfast, either. No cereal for him - it's gotta be eggs or pancakes or something else. Wouldn't you know - the one style of cooking I don't like to do and he's totally into it. I figure it's a small price to pay for not working, tho!

we also do the big meal in the afternoon thing,

sometimes we'll go to breakfast for the character meals,

-we know how to live out of a cooler if we hafta~

Hi TW! I miss you, too! My annual pass expires September 29 and the November sister's trip is all inclusive, so I wasn't going to renew my annual pass until afterwards. Let me see how much sweet talking I can do regarding getting the pass a few months early.

It would be nice to spend more than 5 minutes with you like we ended up doing last time - that storm was something else and being in a dress, I was NOT going out in it before dinner!
