OOPS!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hi. Hugs around, chocolate cake for DU. I hope everyone is doing ok. I haven't caught up on everything, saw DU got promoted with a HUGE raise! ;) I finished my first MBA course, and have started the 2nd (Economics! Yuck!). 18 days until Disney World.. we've made the cutest homemade autograph books for my nieces. I'll show you all pics as soon as I upload. Have a good week everyone. :goodvibes

I love Choclate cake...its my favorite!:yay:
Conrats on the MBA course!:thumbsup2
18days:woohoo:

I finish Macroeconomics (and everything else) in three weeks!!!

In 3 WEEKS!!!! Shouldnt that be MICROeconomics then??????;)

ZJO Threadkillers!

I hope everyone is having a good day. Since this is probably the last chilly day we're going to have (the high today is 69º) for a while, I've got a pot roast in the oven.

Friday, my neices boyfriend has asked to spend the day cooking with me. I'm going to teach him to make lasagna - not the actual lasagna itself - that's pretty basic, but the actual PASTA.

We're going to have an Italian Feast for the whole family. Caprese Salad, Bruschetta, Sausages & meatballs in sauce with peppers & onions, Lasagna, garlic bread and for dessert - Blueberry Crostada.

So he'll be making everything with me from scratch....but, I'll probably make the bread tomorrow because of time constraints. Heck, I may even go wild and actually BUY the bread! I do have a lunch date tomorrow with the sisters....we'll see...

Dad is finally back home and is very happy. He'll still have therapy 3 days a week, but that will get him moving.

TW - congrats on your schooling! You, too, Aunt Michelle...and have a great time at Disney.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words about Dad - PD, TW, Robin, DU, DalPal and anyone else I missed.

I hope ya'll are having a sunny day!

It's a huge accomplishment! Thank you~

Esp yours Michelle ::yes:: :thumbsup2

I am trying to find some classes to sneak in while still unemployed...summer sessions don't offer alot tho---mostly just core stuff. Tonight's teacher got roped into doing a journalistic writing class this summer, I am totally up for that if unemployment will let me~

If I stay within the commercial arts I can totally move up to a college like Drexel and start on my Bachelors~I made sure all that I took was transferrable~

In 3 WEEKS!!!! Shouldnt that be MICROeconomics then??????

Hello TKers,:wave2:

Well I had a very nice day....The dentist didnt even bother me...It has been nice and sunny:sunny:, and really warm...at least 70..

As a matter of fact it was sooo nice, I took a walk around salt springs and back...with my DGF....Boy those waterfalls (3 of them)are really big right now...Im thinking of going back with my camera tomorrow....Just beautiful!

We took our dogs, and Albert is now a mess, with burrdocks, and all muddy, but he had a great time!...Thats OK, he doesnt mind baths too much....I cant say the same for brushing...Hes not fond of that....But will let me in short doses...:dog:

Well Im late getting dinner together...So Im off to do the ol domestic stuff...:upsidedow

TTFNpaw:

:thanks: All for Aunt prayers/wishes! She's home and has about 15 upcoming chemo/radiation treatments.

 Miss you all, I do try to keep up, in short form, so I wish I knew what to say exactly right now, but it's late, and I don't. :guilty:

:grouphug:

Thanks again!!!

:grouphug:

Morning all,

Its my Thursday lunch day.....and its beautiful out AGAIN!:thumbsup2
The only drawback is its so nice and warm out, that I cant bring Albert today...It wil be too hot in the car..:guilty: ..I hate to leave him home, but he had a nice long walk yesterday...So he will probably be happy to rest anyway!..:dog:

Its only 2 month until we go to the world...AND my DN and DSis might join us for one of the weekends...Jenn, (my DN), is the one that works for Disney in Ca.
She's up there somewhere in the corp. tech area, but for the life of me I can never remember her title...:confused3
But it will be GRET to see her!:cool1: if it all pans out...:)

Kim,

TTFNpaw:

Good Morning:goodvibes
loooooooooooooooooooooooong nite at work:headache:
Good Night:faint:

Good morning threadkillers and lurkers alike.

Kim a big ole :grouphug: for you. Been thinking about you and your aunt.

I spent 4 hours in the emergency room last night with my mom.

She went out last night to transplant some flowers the neighbour gave her and managed to trip on something and fell and broke the bone just above her wrist:guilty:

It was not sitting straight so they had to put it back in place and they put a cast on it.

At least it is her left wrist, so she can still function to a certain extent.

I spent the night at her house last night in case she needed me.

My brother will be in and out of there all day today since they run a business from her home.

While we were sitting in the emerg waiting room these two young men come rushing in.

The first man was holding up his arm with blood all over it. Blood just soaked down the front of his shirt. Horrible looking mess.

They run up to the window and they take one look at him and take him in.

I heard his friend say that he cut his hand on a table saw. :scared:

A few minutes later the friend is running down the hall talking on a phone...... "Joe, where are you, we gotta............ find the finger" :scared1:

About 20 minutes later this man rushes in the door with both hands balled into fists and goes to the window and says...... I found the finger.

He carried that guys finger into the hospital in his fist. :faint:

Now that just about gave me the heebie-jeebies.

I could not believe that young man actually ran into the hospital by himself, he looked really pale. He didn't even come in the ER entrance, came from the front door direction.

I would think that I would have called an ambulance in a situation like that.

In about 1/2 hour I take DD(14) for an MRI. The orthopedist is fairly ertain she has a torn meniscus and will need surgery! :scared1: We have another appointment with him tomorrow a.m. to go over the MRI and determine whether the surgery is a go. DD just wants to get back to the track team and is very upset that she is very likely out for the whole season. Her knee locked up while running at track practice the day before their first meet (last week). She didn't trip or anything, it just stopped working. Our school district is lucky to have the best track in the entire state. The HS State track meets are always held here, because we have the best conditions. The doctor asked if she tripped on the track surface or anything like that and about what type of surface she was running on. When he heard where she was running, he said well there is no safer surface to run on than that track.

His endorphines were keeping him from feeling the pain

I GUARANTEE you he's feeling it today :(

P&PD to your Mom Robin and a little more for your DD PD (I love writing that :teeth: ) and to your Aunt Kiminy and to Ann's Daddy....

MIL is GONE!!!! :woohoo:

Even John said how much more peaceful it is around here :)

Dad is due in anytime now...

his girlfriend's birthday is soon and he's already talking about going fishing~

That's the huge difference between D & M...Mom was always around, always lurking, always up my a$$. Dad is totally MIA, has made a real social life for himself, very independant. I prefer independant to dependant anyday~

So did ya sing that song....."na, na, na, na.....na, na,na, na ....na, na, na ...goodbye" as she was leaving? Low maintenance sure beats high maintenance anyday!:woohoo:

In my head maybe ;)

:woohoo:

Dad is home and he and I have been talking about how hard it was for me to be here with her. He knows. His biggest ordeal was coming back to his room knowing she spent the last four months in his bed.

I, being the wonderful DIL I am, stripped everything, double fabric softenered everything that would've had a trace of her scent in it (fabric does that ya know-holds onto scents) and we even shampooed the rug for him. It's a shame - the room stunk. Today it smells all nice and purty~

The only thing we figured out she took was one of Dad's totes. She emptied his clothes out of it and put them elsewhere apparantly. I caught her trying to take a little drawer set too. I took that out of her car when she wasn't looking. She never said a word :rolleyes1

Dad says I could've let her have the drawers. I told him that she knew that alls she had to do was ask, she was not to help herself to anything in my home. She didn't ask for it and I am mean enough where I felt dissed and took it back.

He is also happy to hear she moved about 40 minutes away. The farther the better in my book. I planted the seed that she should look for places near where she works. I also told her when she wasn't finding a job in our area that she needed to look further.

ok....I'm done....

back to homework...:teacher:
