I meant to tell you guys that I got a PM from Ann (Hollyann) today.

I had sent a thankyou PM to her for the things she included in my dance recital box.

She says to tell you all that she is extremely busy taking care of family members.

Susan, her dad and her stepmom have all had medical situations where they needed nursing or a driver to take them to appointments and Ann was the one to do that.

She said to tell you all that she is doing well, Tom is still wonderful :goodvibes and that some day soon she hopes to pop in to say hello to us all.

I've been wondering where she's been and how she's doing....

If you get a chance....please tell her I said "Hi HollyAnn! :cool1:

Hello HollyAnn....so what's new....

you know the T..K-ers have been missing you....

I say....Hello HollyAnn.....you're doin' good deeds...

taking care of family and all their needs.....

While you're out could you pick us up some doughnuts?:rolleyes1

Yes, please.

Life is short.

Let's all eat doughnuts ;)

No coffee for me though, thanks.

Never touch the stuff.

Thank you all for the good thoughts and wishes on the death of my cousin.

It's always hard when the "young" ones go.

My thoughts tonight are quite naturally centered on cousins.

I have exactly the same number of first cousins (children of my mom or dad's brothers or sisters) on both sides of my family.

I have/had 12 on each side and amazingly enough there were equal numbers of boys and girls on both sides, 6 of each sex.

There are 19 still alive, 4 have died and one was given up for adoption at birth.

I don't see any of them on any regular basis but I see some more often than others. A couple of my cousins I could pass on the street and not even recognize.

My children on the other hand have only 5 first cousins, 3 boys and two girls.

So, the question is........

how many first cousins do you have (or had) and do you see them on any regular basis?

On my mother's side I have (4) all boys, two of whom (TX) I have not seen since I was a child, the other two (NY) I see every couple of years.

On my father's side I have (7) four boys, three girls. Most of which I see every other year or so for family functions. They all live in the Northeast, spreadout from NJ to NH.

Here's where is gets interesting, counting my sister's children, among all the cousins on my father's side there are (19) children under the age of twelve. :upsidedow

Going to bed now...here are a few from the show today...

A traffic signal question for you.

If you are at an intersection planning on turning left........

there is a left hand turn arrow indicator.........

it is green .......... okay, go ahead and turn

it turns yellow ......... okay, slow down because it's going to turn red

it turns flashing red .................. :confused3

What does that mean to you

No signage at the lights to indicate any specific instruction.

see below

I'm not up on Canadian traffic light laws....

but since you'se have red, yellow and green....I'll take a stab at it....

you may make a left turn after coming to a complete stop....

assuming of course, no one is coming at you from the other direction....you may go....

:thumbsup2

be safe....don't work too hard Dis Unc.....

Never do!

Just got word tonight that my cousin died today. :guilty:

She had just turned 39 in January and had two children 13 and 14 years old.

Her whole family has a history of living short lives.

Morning threadkillers.

Wow, I seem to have an awful lot more cousins that the rest of you guys.

It's nice that some of you still see your cousins.

I see mine mainly at funerals these days.:guilty:

But I suppose that is how life goes when you get older.

You get busy with your own lives and don't take the time to keep up.

Good morning!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing...and I am going to sleep!:thumbsup2

Catch ya later patata's!

enjoy your sleep DU.

I am heading out to the first dance/exercise class of the day. :dance3:

:wave2: Hi TKers! It's Thursday - woo hoo! I like Thursdays because I have no conference calls! Sunny and 60 with rain on the way. Every little bit helps, maybe someday the lakes will look like lakes again instead of puddles.

Sis #2 and all three of the girls are sick with the flu - 104 degree fevers, coughing.. the whole nine yards. Yuck! To make matters worse the girls are apparently are trying to go to school sick because Aunt Michelle told them they couldn't miss any school before WDW! <shesh> That's not exactly what I meant. :sad2:

On my third cup of blonde, sweet coffee (which my mother thinks is rather like warm coffee milk). Coffee milk, <sigh> you cannot get coffee flavored milk here in Georgia. Unless you are like us, and have Eclipse Coffee Syrup shipped in from your Rhode Island relatives.

Have a good day! :goodvibes

I kill threads. Kill em dead.

Aw, that's too bad.

You might be able to do that everywhere else on the DISboards but you are in no danger of being a threadkiller on this thread.

Welcome Jack-Jack to the threadkillers thread:)

By the way, I'm wondering, who DID kill this thread back when it was the old thread:confused3

Anybody know off hand?

i have 5 maternal cousins - 2 girls - 3 boys (uhhh guess they are really men/women at their age):lmao: haven't seen them in years (decades actually - i guess at my grandfather's funeral in 1980)....they live mostly in Iowa - one girl in Chicago.

i have soooo many more on my father's side - they were all good Catholics...so thinking somewhere around 15 or more....1 has passed away...maybe more - but not that i'm aware of...and i can't even remember when i last saw them....most likely grandmother's funeral in june 75 or 76....

kind of sad....many of them could walk into my office right now & i (probably) wouldn't know them....

More "stamps" for y'all to look at...goin to veg w hubby now~

There are a lot of very pretty pictures there Colleen.

I think that you could make a nice stamp project out of them:thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the cousin stories everyone.

I have really only 2 or 3 cousins that I probably would not recognize if I saw them. Funny thing is that they all live right here in the same area as I do:confused3
