Just came home from an Obama town hall meeting in Parma, Ohio. I've never been to something like this before, and it did seem kinda' interesting. But I'm still attempting to grasp the idea of where all the money for some of these programs is going to come from.:confused3 Anyway we had some sunshine today......... I almost didn't know how to handle it!:rolleyes1

Hey!! I haven't had a chance to check in. Man, I don't have enough time to do everything I want to now :confused3 What's up with that?!?!??!

My job asked me to fill in on Sunday for someone who called in. I said I would do it. It's gonna give me overtime. :thumbsup2 I all ready have 5 hrs of over time from last week. Sheesh... It's a lot of work but I am loving it.

Well I still have to catch up with the happenings around here and I'm trying to do laundry so I will be in and out. :surfweb:

Watched "Gone Baby Gone"!!!! WOW whadda movie!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

But you REALLY REALLY REALLY have to pay attention! REALLY!

I always felt the same way, and with todays fuel prices it makes a LOT of sense to live closer to the city. Now if I could have my job moved to... let's see... the Orlando area, that would be nice! Or if any of the fine ladies who live in Georgia needs a cabana boy................:rotfl2:
do you do chores? :confused3 I have no time these days :rotfl:

Wondered how long it would take somebody to realize I wasn't answering my own questions! ;)
I agree the girls were pretty bad. The only one I liked with the folksy blond girl (can't remember her name, but Simon hated her the first week) - she sang You're So Vain, and I love Carly Simon so it could be I only liked her because I happen to like the song.
I have my prediction on who is going to win this year.... Archuleta is going to win. :thumbsup2

Hey, you still didn't answer the question.. .:teeth:

Yesterday's question....I want to get rid of voice mail! My clients leave me messages at all hours!
I can live without voice mail but I don't know if I can live without cars..

So my DD(12) was supposed to audition for her middle school musical on Monday. SHe was so excited. SHe has been anticipating this for at least a month. So I was shocked when she walked home (by herself, which is totally against the rules) just a few minutes after school got out on Monday. Well it turns out she had a total panic attack and had stage fright about auditioning in front of everyone. She was crying because she wanted to be in the play, but was so intimidated about trying out. She kept saying "I know I'm going to regret this later, but it was too scary". She was so upset and I was absolutely heartbroken for her. The director is very familiar with her singing as she is also the chorus director, and had hinted heavily that DD would be getting a lead role. It was a very sad night around here. I was so sad for DD that I couldn't sleep.

Well Wednesday DD comes out of school with the biggest smile I've ever seen on her face! SHe had chorus on Wednesday and the teacher took her aside and said that she thought that DD just had stage fright, appently she's seen DD crying while DD was erasing her name from the audition list. SHe told her that she had a very strong and beautiful voice and that she needed her to be in the play. SHe said for a lead she would have to have a regular audition that day after school, but if she couldn;t do that and wanted to be in the chorus of the cast, she could audition privately for the teacher at lunch time. SHe said she really needed a strong singer to lead the chorus and would be happy if DD could help her out by auditioning at lunch. So DD auditioned and bnow she's in the play!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Today DD came home with all of the information about rehearsals etc. All rehearsals are mandatory....3 rehearsals are scheduled over Spring Break. We will be at WDW!:scared1: Now I have to e-mail the teacher to see if this is a problem. Send some Pixie Dust this way please!

DD(14) just got invited to see the Jonas Brothers in concert and meet them afterward. Apparently some kid at school is related to the Jonas Brothers somehow so has great tickets and then is seeing them afterward. This is in NJ and of course is also when we are at Disney. DD(14) wants to know if we can come back 5 days earlier than planned!:scared1: Sorry not happening. We saw the Jonas Bros. at AK in Sept 2006 (rode on Dinosaur with them) DD(14) is their biggest fan and was back in the days when no one had ever heard of them. SHe pointed them out in AK and I didn;t even know who they were. I said let's go talk to them. The park was empty and we were the only people around except for the Jonas Bros and a CM who was their guide. The girls would not go talk to them. This summer they played at a small local club (only holds a few 100 people when it's packed) and I took DDs and we were right up front. I told her she had chances to meet them already and that we are not cutting WDW short!

I'm so glad she got in the play. I hope everything works out with the rehearsals and disney vacay!

Dante likes the Jonas Brothers! :thumbsup2

Well now, there's a stuffed Sorcerer Mickey
a blue hat which I'm thinking might be from Cally:confused3

a Georgia shot glass, Cally??
a keychain advertising Marine & RV batteries
some lime green Mickey heads, hmmm, I have a thought on who those might be from
a couple of decals/stickers that have K & N on them
a WDW 2004 Collectors medallion.

Plus a couple of other items that I know are from Ann.
Yep Hat from me...postcards from me....Cummins lanyards from me.... shot glass from me.... keychain with the marine and rv batteries from me....decals/stickers with K&N from me..... WDW 04 medallion from me :thumbsup2

Roger voluteered to work at a RV show we had in town and they gave out a bunch of stuff like the lanyards and decals and stickers...

The K&N is the company that makes high performance air filters for cars. Roger grabbed a few of them for the kids because they like race cars.

He also grabbed a few of the lanyards because I collect them. I have a bunch of different ones. :thumbsup2

LEAP.jpg

The year 2008 is a leap year. If you look at a 2008 calendar, you will see that February has five Fridays–the month begins and ends on a Friday. Between the years 1904 and 2096, leap years that share the same day of week for each date repeat only every 28 years. The most recent year in which February comprised five Fridays was in 1980, and the next occurrence will be in 2036. February 29, the leap day, has been associated with age-old traditions, superstitions and folklore.
cool :thumbsup2

Morning TKers! Sunny here too! Less than 2 weeks til WDW. Man it seems like it's coming up so quickly and yet, it is still way too long a time to wait!

DH and I are going out to dinner and then to see Bill Cosby tonight. That was Dh's Christmas present and luckily he chose me as the person he wanted to take with him. By coincidence my DSis and her Dh also have tickets so we're going to dinner with them.

ETA: Cally, have you heard of Bill Cosby?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
